Comparative Evaluation of the Pollutant Load Estimation Method in the Water Quality Data Missing Intervals (수질자료 결측구간의 오염부하 추정기법 비교평가)

  • Direct estimation of the pollutant load(PL) should be carried out by the data filling in the missing intervals using an appropriate method because it is impossible in which the flow discharge(water quantity) or water quality(WQ) time-series data set have the missing intervals. In this study, the several methods estimating the water quality in the missing periods are suggested and the WQ and pollutants load change patterns are compared and evaluated based on the reproducible degree of the available data change patterns. The most appropriate method is finally suggested and the contribution factor deciding the influence degree and the PL characteristics of the river estuary is also suggested. Based on the PL estimation results using the several methods, the interpolation method considering the fluctuation of the available WQ data is shown to be most efficient. The PL patterns of the Han river estuary is classified as the discharge-dominated type. The data filling process is inevitable and the WQ estimation using the efficient and effective method should be carried out in order to estimate reasonable PL.

Effects of RF power on the Electrical and Optical Properties of GZO Thin Films Deposited on Flexible Substrate (RF 파워가 플렉시블 기판에 성장시킨 GZO 박막의 전기적 및 광학적 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • The 5 wt.% Ga-doped zinc oxide (GZO) thin films were fabricated on PES substrates with various RF power 50~80 W by using RF magnetron sputtering in order to investigate the optical and electrical properties of GZO thin films. The XRD measurement showed that GZO thin films exhibit c-axis orientation. At a RF power of 70W, the GZO thin film showed the highest (002) diffraction peak with a Full-Width-Half-Maximum (FWHM) of $0.44^{\circ}$. AFM analysis showed that the lowest surface roughness (0.20 nm) was obtained for the GZO thin film fabricated at 70 W of RF power. The electrical property indicated that the minimum resistivity ($6.93{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$) and maximum carrier concentration ($7.04{\times}10^{20}cm^{-3}$) and hall mobility ($12.70cm^2/Vs$) were obtained in the GZO thin film fabricated at 70W of RF power. The optical transmittance in the visible region was higher than 80 %, regardless of RF power. The optical band-gap showed the slight blue-shift with increased in carrier concentration which can be explained by the Burstein-Moss effect.

The electrical and optical properties of the Ga-doped ZnO thin films grown on transparent sapphire substrate (투명 사파이어 기판위에 성장시킨 Ga-doped ZnO 박막의 전기적·광학적 특성)

  • In this study, Ga-doped ZnO (GZO) thin films were fabricated on transparent sapphire substrate by RF magnetron sputtering method and then investigated the effect of various substrate temperature on the electrical, optical properties and characteristic of crystallization of the GZO thin films. The electrical property indicated that the lowest resistivity ($4.18{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}cm$), the highest carrier concentration ($6.77{\times}10^{20}cm^{-3}$) and Hall mobility ($22cm^2/Vs$) were obtained in the GZO thin film fabricated at $300^{\circ}C$. And for this condition, the highest c-axis orientation and (002) diffraction peak which exhibits a FWHM of $0.34^{\circ}$ were obtained. From the results of AFM measurements, it is known that the highest crystallinity is observed at $300^{\circ}C$. The transmittance spectrum in the visible range was approximately 80 % regardless of substrate temperature. The optical band-gap showed the blue-shift as increasing the substrate temperature to $300^{\circ}C$, and they are all larger than the band gap of bulk ZnO (3.3 eV). It can be explained by the Burstein-Moss effect.

Mechanical properties of carrageenan-based biopolymer films (카라기난 생고분자 필름의 기계적 물성에 관한 연구)

  • Tensile strength (TS) of ${\kappa}-carrageenan$ films without salt was 22-32 MPa and was the highest among ${\kappa},\;{\lambda}\;and\;{\iota}-carrageenan$ films. ${\kappa}-carrageenan$ films had high mechanical barrier properties as they are compared with TS of polyethylene films which are 13-28 MPa. TS of ${\iota}-carrageenan$ films without salt was 5-9 MPa and was the lowest among the films. Mechanical properties (TS and elongation) were affected by the concentration of plasticizers. Especially, elongation of ${\kappa}-carrageenan\;and\;{\iota}-carrageenan$ drastically increased as the concentration of plasticizer increased. Mechanical properties (TS and elongation) were greatly affected by various concentration and kind of salts. TS of Film-A (0.375 g plasticizer/g carrageenan) of ${\kappa}-carrageenan$ films which contains 0.1% (w/w) potassium chloride increased to 45 MPa which was the highest among the TS of biopolymer films which have been developed.

Antimicrobial Chitosan-silver Nanocomposite Film Prepared by Green Synthesis for Food Packaging (녹색합성법에 기인한 식품포장용 키토산-은나노 항균 복합필름의 개발)

  • We studied the green synthesis and antibacterial activity of chitosan-silver (Ag) nanocomposite films for application in food packaging. Green synthesis of Ag nanoparticles (AgNPs) was achieved by a chemical reaction involving a mixture of chitosan-silver nitrate ($AgNO_3$) in an autoclave at 0.1 MPa, $121^{\circ}C$, for 15-120 s. The formation of AgNPs in chitosan was confirmed by both UV-Visible spectrophotometry and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and the effects of chitosan-$AgNO_3$ concentration and reaction time on the synthesis of AgNPs in chitosan were examined. The resulting chitosan-Ag composite films were characterized by various analytical techniques and their antibacterial activity was evaluated based on the formation of halo zones around films, indicating inhibition of the growth of Escherichia coli. A fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy analysis showed that free amino groups in chitosan acted as effective reductants and AgNP stabilizers. The composite films exhibited enhanced antibacterial activity with increasing Ag content on the surface of as-prepared composite films.

Quality characteristics of sponge cake made with aronia powder (아로니아 분말을 첨가한 스펀지케이크의 품질특성)

  • This study was performed to examine the quality characteristics and antioxidant activities of the sponge cakes containing different concentrations (2-10%, w/w) of aronia powder (AP). The specific gravity of the dough and the baking loss rate were significantly increased with higher AP content. The specific volume, height, volume index, and pH were significantly decreased with the increase in AP. The lightness and redness values increased, while the yellowness values decreased with increasing amounts of AP. Textural characteristics, such as hardness, gumminess, and chewiness significantly increased on addition of AP. The DPPH radical scavenging activities of the cakes increased significantly with the increase in concentration of AP. In sensory evaluation, the group with cakes containing AP at 2% concentration was ranked higher than other cakes with respect to all parameters, except for color. Therefore, the results of this study suggest that sponge cakes prepared with 2% AP is the most suitable product, based on its sensory characteristics and antioxidant activities.

Fermentation of Doenjang Prepared with Sea Salts (천일염으로 제조한 된장의 발효특성)

  • Deonjang prepared with sea salts(Shinan-docho product, Thai-land product, refined product and Austrailia salt product) were analyzed for pH, acidity, reducing sugar, amino type nitrogen and free amino acids. Amino type nitrogen as major element was highest in fermenting for 30 days as 315.3 mg% in deonjang prepared with Shinan-docho salts, but deonjang prepared with imported salts were $265.1{\sim}263.3\;mg%$. Sum of free amion acids for 30 days were 4,527 mg% in deonjang prepared with Shinan-docho salts, but lower in deonjang prepared with imported salts. Each amino acid content of deonjang prepared with Shinan-docho salts, which were glutamic acid and aspartic acid had much higher level than others.

Traditional Honey Wine Prepared with Nuruk-Yeast Mixture (누룩과 효모의 혼합사용에 의한 벌꿀주의 제조)

  • Fermentation characteristics for the production of honey wine with Saccharomyces sake, Saccharomyces bayanus and nuruk were investigated. Among the yeast strains and the mixture with nuruk tested, nuruk-Sacch. sake mixture and nuruk-Sacch. bayanus mixture showed higher alcohol production and better fermentability than the single strains. Total acid and pH did not change considerably during the whole period of fermentation. As the fermentation progressed, reducing sugar decreased rapidly until the 6 days of fermentation, while alcohol content increased rapidly during the same period. In fermentation of 6 days, honey wine consisted of about $7.5{\sim}8.1^{\circ}Brix$ of soluble solid, $22.7{\sim}31.8%$ of reducing sugar. Alcohol content were reached up to 12.5 and 13.1% for honey wine manufactured with nuruk-Sacch. sake mixture and nuruk-Sacch. bayanus mixture, respectively, relative to $5.2{\sim}7.2%$ of the single strains. Generally, honey wines prepared with the mixture of nuruk-yeast strains were fermented more efficiently than those with the single yeast.

  • 국내에서는 1999년부터 국가수자원관리종합정보시스템(WAMIS) 구축 및 운영을 통해 물관리정보화사업을 추진하고 있으며 기초정보분석 중심에서 수자원 계획 수립과 정책 결정을 지원할 수 있는 시스템으로 확대하여 대국민 수자원 정보 제공과 홍보를 활성화하려고 노력하고 있다. 하지만 지금까지 국내에서는 수자원 현황을 평가하기 위해 상수도보급율, 하천개수율 등을 이용하여 수자원의 단편적인 분야만을 평가하여 왔으며 이들 개별지표들만으로 국내 수자원 상황에 대해 국민들이 체감하는데 한계가 있어 이들 사업의 성과를 지수화하여 수자원 정책과 사업의 효과를 국민들에게 적극적으로 홍보할 필요가 있다. 이를 지원하기 위해 2007년부터 2009년까지 수자원 각 분야별 수자원계획수립 업무지원체계를 구축하였으며 수자원 현황 평가를 위해 분야별 평가지수를 개발하고 수자원 통합지수를 선정하여 중권역별로 산정한 바 있다(건설교통부, 2007; 국토해양부, 2008, 2009). 보다 합리적인 수자원 평가를 위해서는 분야별(물이용, 치수, 하천환경) 평가 지수의 공간적 범위 확대 및 세부지표를 추가 고려함으로써 과거에서부터 현재까지의 분야별 변화 패턴을 파악해야 한다. 이를 통해 수자원 관련 정책 및 사업의 성과를 평가하고 구축된 기초자료 및 분석정보를 제공해 줄 수 있는 도구의 개발이 무엇보다 중요하다고 하겠다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기 개발된 분야별 평가지수 산정 결과와 분야별 현황과의 비교 분석을 통해 지수의 현장 적용성을 검토함으로써 기 개발된 지표의 취약점 및 한계점을 제시하였다. 보다 합리적이고 타당한 분야별 평가를 위해 세부지표를 추가로 선정하였으며 선정된 분야별 세부지표를 PSR 구성체계에 맞추어 구성하였다. 또한 분야별 현황 및 특성을 평가할 수 있는 분야별 평가지수를 개발하였으며 물이용 특성을 평가할 수 있는 지수를 '물이용안전성지수', 치수 특성을 평가할 수 있는 지수를 '홍수안전성지수', 하천환경 특성을 평가할 수 있는 지수를 '하천환경건강성지수'라 명명하였다. 또한 분야별 평가지수를 통합하여 수자원 현황을 평가하고 관리할 수 있는 수자원 통합지수인 '물만족지수'를 개발하여 제시하였다. 분야별 평가지수를 구성하는 각 세부지표의 특성을 파악하여 지표 산정 범위를 점, 선, 면으로 확대하여 제시하였으며 세분화된 공간단위별로 기초자료를 조사, 수집하여 시계열 DB를 구축하였다. 개발된 분야별 평가지수 및 물만족지수를 연도별 표준유역별로 구축된 DB를 이용하여 산정하고 비교 분석하였으며 상대적인 분야별 안전성 및 건강성을 평가하여 지수의 적용성을 검토하였다. 지표 관련 기초자료 및 분석을 통해 생성된 정보자료는 수자원정책 수립과정에서 매우 유용한 정보를 제공해 줌으로써 정책결정을 지원할 수 있고, 일반인과 관련 전문가들에게 수자원 관련 다양한 정보를 제공할 수 있다.

  • This study is prepared to understand the filial story's communicative meaning from the aspects of Character's behavior. The filial story have typically didactic theme and it is not have enough room for another interpretations. But if we carefully analyze the filial story from the point of view of (1)the target of the filial duty[father/ mother]. (2) the actor of the filial duty[son/ daughter]. (3) the evaluator of the filial duty[witness/ recorder], we can understand the filial story's connotation. In "三國遺事"(Memorabilia of the Three Kingdoms) and "三國史記"(Historical Records of the Three Kingdoms), the target of the filial duty plays an important part and communicates with the actor of the filial duty but there's no more communication in "高麗史"(History of Corea). As the character's communication is lessened, the meaning of edification is emphasized.
