Korean Version of the Revised UCLA Loneliness Scale : Reliability and Validity Test (한국어로 번역된 UCLA 외로움 사정도구의 신뢰도 및 타당도 조사)

  • 인간은 사회적 접촉을 필요로 하고 타인과의 상호작용을 원하는 사회적 동물이다. 외로움은 한 개인의 사회적 관계의 망이 양적이나 질적으로 부족할 때 발생하는 불유쾌한 감정이다. 외로움은 매우 보편적인 감정이나 고통스러울 수 있으며 이러한 경험이 지속되면 정신적, 신체적 건강을 해칠 수 있을 뿐 아니라 자살을 초래하기도 한다. 특히 노인은 여러 가지 종류의 변화와 상실을 경험하기 때문에 외로움을 더 느낄 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 번역과 역번역 과정을 통해 Revised UCLA Loneliness Scale에 대한 한국어 UCLA 외로움 사정도구를 만들고 이 도구를 한국노인에게 적용하여 신뢰도와 타당도를 조사하는 것이다. 개정판UCLA외로움 사정 도구는 각각 3번씩의 번역과 역번역 과정을 통해 원본 영문도구와 역번역된 영문도구 사이에 의미의 차이가 없다고 판단될 때까지 만들어졌다. 번역과 역번역 과정은 미국에서 석사나 박사학위를 취득한 6명의 한국유학생들에 의해 이루어 졌으며 원본 영문도구와 역번역된 도구사이의 의미의 차이는 본 저자와 미국인 간호학 교수에 의해 사정되었다. 번역된 한국어 외로움 사정도구는 미국의 3개 주에 거주하는 203명의 한국노인들을 대상으로 신뢰도와 타당도 조사가 이루어졌다. 한국어 UCLA외로움 사정도구의 신뢰계수는 .93으로 한국어 도구의 내용이 전반적으로 동질성을 띈다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이는 Barren등(1992)이 미국인 노인여성을 대상으로 한 연구에서 얻은 신뢰계수 .87보다 높은 것이었다. 한국어 도구의 구성타당도를 조사하기 위해 요인 분석을 실시한 결과 본 도구는 친밀한 주변인, 사회적 주변인, 및 소속감 등의 3개 요인을 가지는 것으로 분석되었다. 구성타당도에 대한 이러한 결과는 미국의 대학생들을 대상으로 한 Austin(1983)의 연구결과와 일치하는 것이었다. 각 요인에 대한 신뢰계수는 .88(제 1요인), .90(제 2요인), .84(제 3요인)로 나타났다. 전반적으로 대상자들은 한국어 도구에 대해 이해를 잘 하는 편이었으나 부정문인 4번 항목, '나는 혼자라고 느끼지 않는다'에 대해서는 응답을 할 때는 다른 항목에 비해 시간이 더 소요되거나 연구보조자에 의한 반복 설명이 필요하기도 하였다.

Exploring Older Adults' Experienced Barriers and Emotional Changes in Seeking Health Information (건강정보검색에서 노인이 경험하는 어려움과 감정변화)

  • This study aims to explore older adults' experiences on cognitive and physical barriers and emotional changes of interactions from their health information seeking. Total of 10 older adults aged 65 or more were individually interviewed. The results show that the older adults may experience more difficulty from the perspectives on cognitive and physical barriers. The cognitive barriers are to: 1) know information resource and information search skills, 2) to choose relevant information, and 3) to know information search tools. The physical barriers for them to consider are eyes, hands, legs, and the whole body when accessing health information. In terms of emotion, the older adults express curiosity and negative emotion and at the beginning of the search and then they have more emotional expressions in the middle, and then they express positive emotion at the end of the search. The results suggest that information professionals should consider library as a connection to help them reduce these barriers and stabilize emotional changes.

Impact of Emotional Labor on Quality of Service by Social Workers in Public Sector (사회복지전담공무원의 감정노동이 서비스 질에 미치는 영향)

  • Recently, social welfare officers are suffering from a lot of job stress due to increasing work and are carrying out emotional labor. This study assessed the effect of emotional labor on the quality of welfare service through a questionnaire survey on 937 civil servants in Sejong city and Chungcheongnam-do provinces. First, social welfare officers experienced more than average level of emotional labor, and they performed more internal behavior than surface behavior. Second, the services provided by the social welfare officers were higher than usual, followed by tangibility, assurance, reliability, empathy, and responsiveness. Third, deeping acting had a positive (+) influence on service quality among the sub-factors of emotional labor. In other words, the quality of service increases as the emotional state itself changes, On the other hand, deeping acting did not affect service quality. In the future, policy responses to excessive work burden of social welfare officers should be needed and a manual for responding to emotional labor should be provided.

Perception and Trust of Korean Society and People among Adolescents and their Parents: Indigenous Psychological Analysis (청소년과 성인 세대의 한국 사회와 사람에 대한 인식 및 신뢰 )

  • This study examines the perception and trust of Korean society and people among students and adults using the indigenous psychological analysis. A matched sample of 1,107 participants, consisting of 369 students, their mothers and their fathers completed a questionnaire developed by the present researchers. The results indicate that parents more likely than adolescents to hold negative views of Korean society. Adults are more likely than adolescents to view Korean society as showing high ingroup favoritism, to be insecure, to be conservative, to be corrupt, and to have social inequities. Both groups agree that Korean society is not rational nor democratic, but believe that it has the potential for progress. Second, parents are more likely to hold negative views about Korean people. Adults are more likely than adolescents of viewing Korean people as overly conscious about social face, emotional, selfish, exclusionary, and conceited. Both adolescents and their parents agree that Koreans are cooperative, full of jung (deep affection and attachment), and sincere. Third, adults are less likely to trust Korean institutions than adolescents. Adults are less likely than adolescents to trust National Assembly, political parties, and unions. Adolescents are more likely than their parents to trust family members, school friends, teachers, and government employees. These results indicate that adolescents have higher trust of Korean society and people than their parents. Fifth, the overall results indicate that both group perceive Korean society as showing high ingroup favoritism and corruption. In terms of Korean people, respondents had a more balanced view of perceiving them as highly sensitive to social face and being emotional, while also perceiving them as cooperative and full of jung. The trust of Korean institutions were generally low, especially the National Assembly and political parties. However, the trust of family was very high, followed by trust of school friends and teachers. The trust of government employees was low and this was especially the case for politicians.

The Relationship Between Emotional Labor, Job Burnout and Job Satisfaction in Fitness Center Instructors (휘트니스센터 지도자의 감정노동과 직무소진 및 직무만족의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between emotional labor, job burnout and job satisfaction in instructors. The data were collected from 323 fitness center instructors using multistage stratified cluster random sampling method. With the collected data, factor analysis, reliability analysis, frequency analysis, correlation analysis, model fit tested, and structural equation model were performed by SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 20.0. The result of the analysis were summarized as follows. First, the emotional labor(inner behavior) impacts negative influence on job burnout of fitness center instructors. Second, the emotional labor(surface behavior) impacts positive influence on job satisfaction of fitness center instructors. Third, the job burnout impacts negative influence on job satisfaction of fitness center instructors. Fourth, the emotional labor(inner behavior) impacts positive influence on job satisfaction of fitness center instructors. Fifth, the emotional labor(surface behavior) does not influence on job satisfaction of fitness center instructors.

  • 최근 인간형 로봇에 대한 개발이 괄목할 만한 성장을 이루고 있고, 친근한 로봇의 개발에 중요한 역할을 담당하는 것으로써 감성/감정의 인식이 필수적이라는 인식이 확산되고 있다. 본 논문은 음성의 감정인식에 있어 가장 큰 부분을 차지하는 피치의 패턴을 인식하여 감정을 분류/인식하는 시뮬레이터의 개발과 실험결과를 나타낸다. 또한, 피치뿐 아니라 음향학적으로 날카로움, 낮음등의 요소를 분류의 기준으로 포함시켜서 좀더 신뢰성 있는 인식을 할 수 있음을 보인다. 시뮬레이터의 내부 구조로는 음성으로부터 피치를 추출하는 부분과 피치의 패턴을 학습시키는 DRNN 부분, 그리고, 음향적 특성을 추출하는 음향 추출부가 주요 요소로 이루어져 있다. 그리고, 피치를 추출하는 방법으로는 Center-Clipping 함수를 이용한 autocorrelation approach를 사용하고, 학습 시 최적의 개체를 찾는 방법으로써 (1+100)-ES를 사용한다.

  • Recently, we aim to improve the quality of virtual reality contents based on quantitative analysis results of emotions through combination of emotional recognition field and virtual reality field. Emotions are analyzed based on the participant's vital signs. Much research has been done in terms of signal analysis, but the methodology for quantifying emotions has not been fully discussed. In this paper, we propose a normalization function design and expression method to quantify the emotion between various bio - signals. Use the Brute force algorithm to find the optimal parameters of the normalization function and improve the confidence score of the parameters found using the true and false scores defined in this paper. As a result, it is possible to automate the parameter determination of the bio-signal normalization function depending on the experience, and the emotion can be analyzed quantitatively based on this.

Effects of Organizational Trust on Commitment and Citizenship Behavior (조직신뢰가 몰입 및 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향)

  • Organizational trust (OT) plays a substantial role to attain competitive advantages. It is an effective way to enhance organizational effectiveness. OT makes employees to have a positive emotion toward a firm, also it contributes employees to bring a spontaneous behavior. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships among OT, organizational commitment (OC), and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) theoretically and empirically. A total of 228 cases in 15 Chinese companies are used for empirical analysis. The results show that OT has a positive effect on OC and OCB. It is suggested that OT is an important variable to improve emotional and continuance commitment. Also the results reveal that OCB is a meaningful dependent factor that is affected by OC.

Hybrid Trust Computational Model for M2M Application Services (M2M 애플리케이션 서비스를 위한 하이브리드형 신뢰 평가 모델)

  • In the end-user domain of an IoT environment, there are more and more intelligent M2M devices that provide resources to create and share application services. Therefore, it can be very useful to manage trust by transferring the role of the existing centralized service provider to end users in a P2P environment. However, in a decentralized M2M computing environment where end users independently provide or consume services, mutual trust building is the most important factor. This is because malicious users trying to build malfunctioning services can cause security problems in M2M computing environments such as IoT. In this paper, we provide an integrated analysis and approach for trust evaluation of M2M application services, and an optimized trust evaluation model that can guarantee reliability among users of the M2M community.

  • Well-set tabletops influence customers' purchase behavior or post-purchase behavior by making the quality and image of a restaurant distinguished and customers impressed. This study aims to investigate the relations between the perception of environment among physical environments of restaurants and psychological responses to their tabletops and consumers' attitudes in order to suggest new guidelines for table-setting. As a result, the direct relations between the perception of environment in the tabletops of the restaurants and consumers' behavioral intention indicated that the perception factors of tabletops affected consumer behavior and that these perception factors affected the formation of general attitudes among consumers through emotional and cognitive responses. This result shows that tabletops can be an important key in managing restaurants with changing customer needs. Therefore, it is expected that positive customer attitude can be made by provoking their psychological responses with unique and attractive tabletop settings.
