국내 첫 에이즈 감염인의 발견 2년 뒤인 1987년 국립보건원에 에이즈센터를 설립하면서 본격적으로 예방사업이 시작되었다. 같은 해에 후천성면역결핍증 예방법이 제정되었고, 모든 헌혈액에 대한 에이즈 검사와 특정집단에 대한 의무검사도 시작하게 되었다. 그뒤 1989년에는 각 지역 보건소에서 에이즈 무료의 명검사를 실시하게 되었다. 정부의 에이즈 예방과 확산금지에 대한 노력이 역부족이라는 판단 하에 대한에이즈예방협회와 한국에이즈퇴치연맹이 설립되면서 민간 차원에는 에이즈 예방 사업이 본격화되었다. 그 후 구세군과 대학적십자사에서도 에이즈 예방사업에 뛰어들었으며, 다양한 감염인 단체들이 생겼다 사라지곤 했다. 90년대 초부터 에이즈 사업에 뛰어든 역사와 내실을 자랑하는 단체들과 이제 막 형성된 신생단체까지 국내에서는 다양한 단체들이 에이즈 사업에 뛰어들고 있다.

This article tried to define the relations between knowledge of tuberculosis infection, behavior and prevent behavior of the students of the department of dental hygiene and of non-dental hygiene. The data was collected from May, 2017 to June, 2017. Characteristics relative to variables were measured. As the result, in tuberculosis infection for the students of the department of dental hygiene, the average point was 13.56points for knowledge; 45.75 points for behavior and 41.75points for prevent behavior. In tuberculosis infection for the students of the department of non-dental hygiene, the average point was 12.93points for knowledge; 45.58points for behavior and 42.01 for prevent behavior. As the result of the study, the student's knowledge of tuberculosis had the effect on behavior, but it didn't have the effect on prevent behavior, on the other hand, it had the effect on prevent behavior. The result of this study may be utilized for an educational program for preventing tuberculosis infection of the students.

남성에 비해 여성 감염자가 상대적으로 적으나 이성간 성관계에 의한 감염이 주요 전파 경로가 되면 여성에서의 감염이 점차 증가할 것이고 수직 감염 또한 증가할 것으로 보인다. 특히 남성 중심적인 우리 사회에서는 여성 감염인에 대한 집중적인 사회 경제적 도움이 필요하다.

임신은 HIV의 치료를 연기하는 이유가 되지 않으나 HIV감염 임신 여성은 임신 중, 진통 중, 분만 시, 모유 수유 시 어느 시기라도 바이러스를 태아에 전파할 수 있다. 만약 예방약을 복용하지 않고 모유수유를 한다면 아이에게 감염될 기회는 20-45%가 될 것이다. 모유수유를 하지 않고 치료한다면 전파의 위험성을 2% 이하로 낮출 수 있으며 지도부딘 한 가지 약제의 투여로도 위험성을 반 이상 줄일 수 있다. 그러므로 가임기의 HIV감염인은 임신하기 전부터 감염내과 의사와 산부인과 의사의 긴밀한 협조가 필요하다

자신이 HIV에 감염되었다는 것을 아는 것은 커다란 충격이다. 감염사실을 알게 되면 충격에서 벗어나기까지 시간이 필요하며 어떤 정보나 조언도 받아들이기 어렵고 심지어 감염사실을 믿으려 하지 않는 경우도 있다. 사람들은 HIV에 감염되면 바로 죽는다고 생각하는데 이는 HIV에 대해 정확히 이해하지 못하고 있기 때문이다. 에이즈는 조금 까다로운 만성질환일 뿐, 감염사실을 미리 알고 치료를 잘 받으면 그다지 일상생활에 장애를 느끼지 않고 살 수 있다. 많은 어려움이 닥쳐오겠지만, 좌절하지 말고 좋은 정보와 치료를 통해 삶을 다시 꾸려나갈 수 있다는 믿음을 가져야 한다.

The objective of this study is to provide the basic data for the development of educational programs for the prevention of infectious diseases targeting the elderly by researching the degree of personal hygiene practice, perceived risk of infection, and knowledge and importance of infectious diseases for the prevention of infectious diseases of the elderly. Using the structured questionnaire for a month of October in 2021, this study surveyed total 110 elderly people in their 65 or up by using the one-to-one individual interview method through the Gallup Korea. The collected data was analyzed by using the IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0 Program. In the results of analyzing the ranking by converting it into Borich's needs formula and then totaling up the degree of importance and knowledge, it was researched as the 1^st place for the transmission path of infectious diseases, the 2^nd place for the preventive method of infectious diseases, the 3^rd place for the treatment method of infectious diseases, the 4^th place for the handling procedure in case an infectious disease was doubted and confirmed, and the 5^th place for the major symptoms of infectious diseases. The results of this study could contribute to the improvement of infection preventive practice through the provision of proper information to subjects, by providing the basic data for the development of educational programs for the elderly reflecting the needs of prevention and management of infectious diseases.

AI로 인해 급감한 소비를 회복시키고 소비자들을 안심시키기 위해 의료계와 식품산업계가 나섰다. 대한의사협회(이하 의협) 국민의학지식향상위원회가 20일 '조류인플루엔자 문제에 대한 심포지엄'을 개최하고 의학계, 수의학계, 보건당국 전문가들로부터 AI 인체감염을 예방하기 위한 대처방안들을 제시하였다. 조류인플루엔자(AI)가 실제 사람에게 감염될 가능성은 희박하다는 게 현재까지의 중론이지만 만약의 상황에 대비해 AI 감염요인과 예방법을 올바로 숙지해야 한다는 의견이 제기됐다.
