For this purpose, we conducted a survey by random sampling of 580 officers and noncommissioned officers serving in the army units located in Gyeonggi Province and Gangwon Province. The collected data was analyzed by a structural equation model, including statistical and correlation analysis. As a result of analysis, self-esteem of the military officers and noncommissioned officers appeared to be mediated only by military life adjustment, or to affect the cultural acceptability mediated by the military life and job satisfaction in turn. Therefore, in order to increase the cultural acceptability of military officers and noncommissioned officers, ROK Army should enhance the self-esteem, job satisfaction and adaptability of them.

  • Acute liver failure is a devastating disease in children. Most cases of acute liver failure in children are indeterminate; however, metabolic liver disease is one of the main causes in the pediatric age group. Though a major symptom of acute liver failure is hepatic encephalopathy, this is very difficult to diagnose, particularly in younger children. Liver transplantation has improved the chances of survival dramatically; however, it is not known which patients are ideal candidates for liver transplantation. Because patients may deteriorate rapidly, arranging care in a center with expertise will secure the best possible outcomes.

  • The interview for the selection of army officers had a lot of interview questions and topical content, so it was difficult to prepare for military officers applicants. Applicants who pass the written evaluation will be selected after passing the final interview. However, as the number of applicants is relatively decreasing due to the improvement of the treatment of the soldiers, it is expected that there will be a shortage of executives to operate advanced equipment in the future. To ensure that excellent applicants do not drop out of the final interview, we intend to provide interview-related data and suggest a unique interview direction for applicants.

  • Although the importance of reserve forces has been emphasized again since the outbreak of the Ukraine War, there is a serious shortage of so-called mid-level officers such as field officers, non-commissioned officers, sergeants, and sergeant s in the Army. This is because, according to related laws such as the Military Personnel Mannagement Act, mid-level executives who have served for more than 20 years can choose to retire. To solve this problem, we studied recent papers spanning 10 years from April to July 2023. As a result of the study, first, mid-level executives must serve in the reserve forces for at least 5 years after expiration of active duty service. Second, the reserve force promotion system must be reorganized to eliminate restrictions on number and rank. In addition, the significance and implications of the study and future directions were discussed.
