역사적으로 생명 보험은 상호부조의 형태로 갑작스럽게 어려운 상황이 발생하여도 경제적 어려움으로부터 가정을 지키는 역할을 해 왔다. 이는 평상 시에 만약의 경우를 대비하여 일정 비용을 지불함으로써 한 가정의 보장을 잘 준비하였기 때문이다. 하지만 한 가정의 경제적 상황은 지속적으로 변하기 때문에 시간이 지남에 따라 청약 당시의 보장 상태가 적절히 유지되고 있음을 확신할 수 없게 된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 가처분 소득 추정 모델 개발을 통해 기존에 생명보험에 가입한 고객의 가처분 소득을 추정함으로써 고객에게 적절한 보장 강화의 기회를 제공하도록 한다.

최근 삼성전자와 애플에서 갤럭시폰, 갤럭시탭 등의 갤럭시 제품군과 아이폰, 아이패드 등 애플 제품군을 두고 세계 곳곳에서 치열한 특허전쟁이 벌어지고 있다. 여태까지의 소송에서는 애플이 적극적으로 삼성을 공격하는 입장이었는데 최근에는 삼성에서 애플에 적극적인 공세를 취하는 모습을 보이고 있다. 이러한 과정에서 삼성이 네덜란드의 헤이그 법원에서 삼성의 표준특허를 이유로 애플의 아이폰 판매금지가처분 신청을 신청한 사안에서, 헤이그 법원은 애플이 주장한 F/RAND 논리를 받아들여 삼성의 판매금지가처분 신청을 기각하였다. 그렇다면, 최근 특허업계에서 이슈가 되고 있는 표준특허란 무엇이고, F/RAND란 무엇일까? 먼저 표준특허에 대해서 간략히 살펴보고 삼성과 애플사례를 토대로 F/RAND에 대해서 살펴보도록 하겠다.

When the definition of income and the equivalence scale was applied just as it was in the LIS (Luxembourg Income Study), the adjusted disposable income inequality calculated by Gini coefficients in Korea was 0.358 for the year 2000. Compare to the 1996 figure of 0.298 the increase of income inequality has skyrocketed. In addition, the adjusted market income inequality increased from 0.302 in 1996 to 0.374 in 2000. The disposable income inequality ranked the third and the market income inequality ranked at the mid level in 2000 among OECD countries. One significant finding in this paper was that the difference between the disposable income inequality and market income inequality in Korea is very small compared to those of other OECD countries. The relative poverty ratio, which is calculated by using 40% of the medium income bracket of the disposable income was calculated at 7.6% in 1996 and 11.5% in 2000. The poverty ratio in 2000 for Korea ranked one of the highest in OECD countries, also.

This paper was attempting to identify determinants of media repertoires based on new services and technologies. Using the regression and discriminant models, this study examined determinants that included five independent factors such as the degree of innovation, social networks, social influences, demographic variables and media uses. The analyses revealed that all of independent variables except the degree of innovation were significant determinants of media repertoires. Secondly, the results of discriminant analyses showed that terrestrial television use, age, disposable income were significant factors discriminating new media service adopters from the sample. For new media related technologies adopters, family income, and media uses such as newspaper, Internet and radio were significant discriminant variables.
