베이지안 방법에 의한 K개 지수분포 모수들의 기하평균 추정에 관한 연구

  • 본 연구는 k개 지수분포 모수들의 기하평균에 대한 베이지안추정 방법을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 Tibshirani가 제안한 직교변환법으로 비정보적 사전확률분포를 도출하여 모수들의 결합사후확률분포를 유도해 내었으며, 이 분포 하에서 가중 몬테칼로 방법을 사용하여 기하평균을 추정하는 절차를 제안하였다. 모의실험과 실제자료의 예를 통해 제안된 베이지안 추정의 유효성 및 효용성을 보였으며, 본 연구에서 제안한 사전확률분포가 전통적인 포함확률을 기준으로 볼 때, Jeffrey의 사전확률분포 보다 더 유효한 추정을 함을 보였다.

Estimation of Forest Growing Stock by Combining Annual Forest Inventory Data (연년 산림자원조사 자료를 이용한 임목축적 추정)

  • The $5^{th}$ national forest inventory (NFI5) has been reorganized to annual inventory system for providing multi-resources forest statistics at a point in time. The objective of this study is to evaluate statistical estimators for estimating forest growing stock in Chungcheongbuk-Do from annual inventory data. When comparing two estimators; simple random sampling (SRS) and double sampling for post-stratification (DSS), for estimating mean forest growing stock ($m^3/ha$) at each surveyed year, the estimate for DSS in which a population of interest is stratified into three sub-population (forest cover types) was more precise than that for SRS. To combine annual inventory field data, three estimators (Temporally Indifferent Method; TIM, Moving Average; MA, and Weighted Moving Average; WMA) were compared. Even though the estimated mean for TIM and WMA is identical, WMA-DSS is preferred to provide more smaller variance of estimated mean and to adjust for catastrophic events at a surveyed year (so-called "lag bias") by annual inventory data.

A Study on the Reviesd Methods of Missing Rainfall Data for Real-time Forecasting Systems (실시간 예보 시스템을 위한 우량자료 보정 기법 연구)

  • The weather accidents by global warming effect are increasing rapidly whole world. Flood forcasting system and hydrological database are operated by almost all the countries in the world. An objective of this study is to research revised methods of missing rainfall data and find more effective revised method for this operating system. 194 rainfall data of the Han river basin is used. Arithmetic average method, coefficient of correlation weighting method and inverse distance weighting method are compared to estimate revised methods. The result from the analysis shows that coefficient of correlation weighting method is best quantitatively among the 3 methods.

  • Nuclear fuel requires high reliability and safety and therefore contains debris filtering devices to prevent failure-inducing debris from entering it. The debris filtering performance of nuclear fuel is one of the most important factors for fuel integrity. Therefore, the performance must be evaluated and the measurement must be reasonable. In this study, a calculation method of the comprehensive filtering efficiency using the weighted mean was proposed to establish a standard filtering efficiency index. To confirm the suitability of the proposed method, representative debris specimens were selected and the filtering efficiency with the weighted mean was compared with the efficiency of the arithmetic mean. The weighting factor of the weighted mean was introduced to produce a fair evaluation. In addition, the analysis of the debris filtering mechanism was performed according to the size of debris specimens, and the main dimensions of the filtering feature for commercial nuclear fuel.

  • 일반적으로, 소프트웨어결함검출/제거메카니즘은 이전의 검출/제거결함과 테스트노력을 어떻게 활용하느냐에 달려있다. 실제 현장 연구로부터 우리는 테스트노력소모패턴을 추론하여 FDR의 경향을 예측할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. 결함검출이 증가, 감소 및 일정한 것 등 광범위에 걸쳐서 나타나는 경향을 잡아내는 고유의 융통성을 가지는 하나의 시변수집합인 FDR모델에 근거한 테스트노력을 개발하였다. 본 논문에서는 FDR을 기술하고, 관련된 테스트 행위를 이러한 새로운 모델링접근법에 연합시킬 수 있다. 우리의 모델과 그리고 이것과 관련된 파라미터 분해기법을 적용한 것을 여러 가지 소프트웨어 프로젝트에서 도출한 실제 데이터집합을 통하여 시연한다. 모델들이 가중 산술, 가중 기하, 또는 가중 조화평균의 개념을 적용하여 어떻게 유도되는가를 기술한다. 그 외에도, 이러한 3개의 가중치 평균에 근거하여 유사산술의 관점으로부터 좀더 일반적인 NHPP 모델을 제안한다. 상기 3개 평균 외에 변환의 파라미터 계열을 포함한 좀더 일반적인 변환을 공식화한다.

  • 면적평균강우량을 정확하게 추정하는 것은 수문조사 결과로 생성된 수위-유량관계곡선 검증을 위한 연간 유출율 및 유황분석 시에 매우 중요하다. 면적평균강우량을 산정하는 방법은 일반적으로 산술평균법, 티센법, 등우선법 등이 있는데, 최근 실무에서는 GIS Tool을 이용하여 티센다각형을 작도하고 가중치를 산정하여 관측소별 강우량을 유효강우량으로 변환하여 이용하거나, 평지 또는 좁은 유역의 경우 산술평균법을 적용하고 있다. 그러나 티센법은 지형적인 영향을 고려할 수없고, 산술평균법의 경우 우량계 밀도와 위치, 지형이 고려되지 못한다는 단점이 있기 때문에, 등우선법을 이용하여 면적평균강우량을 산정하는 것이 대부분 산악지역으로 이루어진 국내 현실에 가장 적합하다. 본 연구에서는 수문조사가 이루어지고 있는 낙동강 본류, 댐상류 등 13개 유역의 유역별 면적 평균강우량을 각각 산술평균법, 티센법, 등우선법을 이용하여 산정하였다. 등우선도의 작성을 위하여 관측소별 강우량을 역거리가중법(IDW), RBF, Kriging 기법을 이용하여 강우량의 공간보간을 실시하였으며, 등우선 간격의 영향을 검증하기 위하여 각 보간법 별 등우선 간격을 10mm, 50mm, 100mm로 분할하여 면적평균강우량을 산정하였다. 각 면적평균강우량 산정기법 및 등우선 간격별로 산정된 면적평균강우량을 비교하였고, 유역면적 등에 따른 면적평균강우량의 변화특성을 분석 하였다.

A Robust Design of Response Surface Methods (반응표면방법론에서의 강건한 실험계획)

  • In the third phase of the response surface methods, the first-order model is assumed and the curvature of the response surface is checked with a fractional factorial design augmented by centre runs. We further assume that a true model is a quadratic polynomial. To choose an optimal design, Box and Draper(1959) suggested the use of an average mean squared error (AMSE), an average of MSE of y(x) over the region of interest R. The AMSE can be partitioned into the average prediction variance (APV) and average squared bias (ASB). Since AMSE is a function of design moments, region moments and a standardized vector of parameters, it is not possible to select the design that minimizes AMSE. As a practical alternative, Box and Draper(1959) proposed minimum bias design which minimize ASB and showed that factorial design points are shrunk toward the origin for a minimum bias design. In this paper we propose a robust AMSE design which maximizes the minimum efficiency of the design with respect to a standardized vector of parameters.

Optimizing Coagulation Conditions of Magnetic based Ballast Using Response Surface Methodology (반응표면분석법을 이용한 자성기반 가중응집제의 응집조건 최적화)

  • As a fundamental study to apply the new flocculation method using ballast in water treatment process, the optimal conditions for general and ballast coagulant dosage, and pH, which are known to have a significant influence, were derived by response surface methodology. Poly aluminum chloride (PAC) and magnetite ballast were used as a general coagulant and ballast, respectively. Coagulation experiments were performed by jar-tester using the kaolin based synthetic water. The effects of three independent variables (pH, PAC, and ballast) on response variables (turbidity removal rate and average settling velocity of flocs) and the optimum condition of independent variables to induce the optimum flocculation were obtained by 17 experimental conditions designed by Box-Behnken procedure. After performing experiments, the quadratic regression model was derived for each of response variables, and the response surface analysis was conducted to explore the correlation between independent variables and response variables. The $R^2$ values for the turbidity removal rate and the average settling velocity were 0.9909 and 0.8295, respectively. The optimal conditions of independent variables were 7.4 of pH, 38 mg/L of PAC and 1,000 mg/L of ballast. Under these conditions, the turbidity removal rate was more than 97% and the average settling velocity exceeded 35 m/h.

A comparison on coefficient estimation methods in single index models (단일지표모형에서 계수 추정방법의 비교)

  • It is well known that the asymptotic convergence rates of nonparametric regression estimator gets worse as the dimension of covariates gets larger. One possible way to overcome this problem is reducing the dimension of covariates by using single index models. Two coefficient estimation methods in single index models are introduced. One is semiparametric least square estimation method, which tries to find approximate solution by using iterative computation. The other one is weighted average derivative estimation method, which is non-iterative method. Both of these methods offer the parametric convergence rate to normal distribution. However, practical comparison of these two methods has not been done yet. In this article, we compare these methods by examining the variances of estimators in various models.
