The purpose of this study was to validate the Korean Family Support & Challenge Questionnaire (K-SCQ), which is designed to assess family complexity in Children. There were 258 pre-test participants in this study and 498 senior students who were in elementary school. Results from the pre-test suggested us to use Likert scale over a dichotomous agree or disagree scale and positively items over negative ones. Results of the confirmatory factor analysis showed that the two factor structure (family support and challenge) of the SCQ fits well for Korean students. The K-SCQ has also good internal consistency. Further analysis was performed to explore the relationships between four family types based on K-SCQ and children's well-being and flow experience. It showed that the children in a high support/high challenge family had the highest emotional well-being, psychological well-being, and flow experience. These results suggest that the complex family characterized by high support and challenge has strong and positive impact on the children's quality of life.

대한가족보건복지협회에서는 PKU 특수분유를 생산하고 있는 ㈜매일유업 후원으로 8월 5,6일 양일간 충남 아산시 파라다이스 호텔 고도에서 제4회 페닐케톤뇨증(Phenylketonuria: PKU) 어린이 가족캠프를 개최하였다. 성장기에 있는 PKU 어린이들에게는 자신감을 부모들에게는 어려움을 함께 나누는 소중한 시간이었다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics and stigma of children and adolescents, and the message types for them in NPO's fundraising advertisement videos in Korea. The subjects are 152 children and adolescents in 147 videos from seven major non-profit organizations. The analysis tools were constructed based on prior studies, and it was carried out after preliminary study. The results are as follows. First, the characteristics of children and adolescents indicated that the ratio of children and infants, main-role, poverty situation, one-parent family, and ward-role appeared the most. Second, 'general' was the highest in the stigma format, and 'hazard' and 'mark' was high in the challenge format. Third, the stigma message was the highest in message type. Finally, as of 2014, the ratio of stigma message and value-exclusion message increased, and the ratio of challenge message and mixed message decreased. The research suggests that a paradigm shift in the format of NPO's typical fundraising advertisement videos is necessary, as the videos may not protect the human rights of children and adolescents and may have negative effects such as stigma.

전국에 1,000여개의 다문화 기관들이 활동 중이다. 그중 정부주도형인 여성가족부 지정 다문화가족지원센터 210여 곳을 제외한 나머지 기관들은 대부분 정부 민간 혼합형이거나 민간주도형 기관들이다. 정부주도형 기관들은 중앙정부와 지방자치단체로부터 운영비가 지원되지만 정부 민간 혼합형이나 민간주도형 기관들은 운영비를 기부금 또는 후원금에 의존한다. 그러나 경제위기의 도래로 기부금이나 후원금이 급감하는 상황에서 정부 민간 혼합형이나 민간주도형 기관들의 자립은 더욱더 어려워질 전망이다. 이러한 전망과는 달리, 지원 대상들과 다문화이슈는 지금보다 훨씬 더 늘어날 전망이다. 국내 이주민의 수는 매년 증가추세이다. 향후 2050년이 되면 전체인구의 10%가 외국인이라는 전망도 나온다. 외국인의 정주화 그리고 가족이민 증가에 따른 상이한 종교와 문화에 대한 편견 없는 이해와 대화가 강조될 것이며, 학교교육정책, 직업양성, 노동시장정책, 동등한 노동조건과 사회보장 요구, 사회적 차별에 대한 계몽정책 등 다양한 다문화 이슈도 부각될 것이다. 이처럼 다양한 분야에서 다문화 이슈를 가장 잘 다룰 수 있는 민간주도형 다문화기관의 자립 여부는 다문화 지원정책의 성패와도 연결된다고 볼 수 있다. 결국 민간주도형 다문화기관이 지금의 운영구조를 개선하고 재정적 자립을 확보하기 위해서는 다문화 관련 비즈니스모델 개발을 통해 다문화 기관들이 스스로 자립할 수 있는 사회적기업에 관심을 가질 수밖에 없다. 사천다문화통합지원센터는 비영리민간단체로 지난 13년 동안 창조적인 다문화 사업들을 추진하여 괄목할만한 성과를 거두었다. 그러나 일반 기부금이나 후원금으로 운영비를 충당하고 있는 상황에서 자립 기반 구축을 위한 비즈니스 모델 개발은 필수적이었다. 마침내 요리조리아시아 협동조합을 만들어 청소년 공정여행 프로그램인 세계로여행학교와 아열대채소 농장을 운영중에 있다. 뿐만 아니라 기업의 CSR(Corporate Social Responsibility) 해외공헌사업도 위탁받아 운영하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 사천다문화통합지원센터가 그동안 진행해 온 청소년 공정여행과 아열대채소 농장을 다문화기관의 비즈니스 모델적 측면에서 사례 분석한 후, 벤치마킹을 통해 민간주도형 다문화기관들로 확대시킴으로써 사회혁신의 기회를 증대시킬 방안을 제시하였다.

한국건강관리협회 제주도지부에 근무하는 신향식씨가 만성 신부전증을 앓고 있던 형 신태식씨에게 한쪽 신장을 기증해 화제가 되고 있다. 만성 신부전증으로 2년 여간 투병생활을 해온 태식씨는 지난12월 26일 동생으로부터 신장을 이식받아 이제는 건강을 회복해가고 있다. 한편 신장을 이식 하는데는 신향식씨의 부인 김남희씨의 적극적인 후원의 힘이 컸다고 알려져, 가족에 대한 숭고한 사랑과 자신의 과감한 희생이 한 생명을 살리는 미담으로 사회의 귀감이 되고 있다.

화란의 유트리히트에서 개최된 23회 국제기능올림픽 대회에서 세게를 석권 기능한국의 이미지를 크게 부각시키고 국위를 선양한 우리나라 대표선수단은 7월17일 하오 3시 45분 KAL기편으로 김포공항착 귀국했다. 이낙선 한국기능올림픽 위원회 회장을 비롯한 선수단 일동을 환영하기 위하여 국제기능올림픽 대회 한국위원회는 정부의 적극적인 후원하에 하오 5시부터 김포공항 광장에서거족적인 환영대회를 가졌다. 이자리에는 남덕희 경제기획원 장관(환영사)을 비롯한 광산덕 문교부장관 , 최형섭 과학기술처장관등 정부관계기관과 태완선 대한상의회장, 김윤기 한국과학기술단체 총연합회 회장 그리고 동회원회부회장, 이사, 기술위원 이밖에 산업계, 학계 및 선수가족 친지와 기업주, 학생등 내외괴빈다수가 참석 열광적인 환영식을 갖었다.

본 연구는 기초생활수급자 외에 복지 사각지대에 있는 차상위 계층 대상의 경제와 교육생활실태 그리고 복지욕구를 파악하여 사회복지전달체계의 복지안전망을 구축함으로써 기초생활수급자로 전락되지 않도록 하기 위한 연구이다. 이를 위해 경기도 고양시 거주민 중 차상위 계층 주민 408명을 대상으로 조사한 결과, 경제부문 중 전세금과 생활비 지출 부담으로 경제적 지원, 교육부문 중 양육비와 교육비 지원, 복지욕구 부문 중 방과후 교실과 무료 및 치과진료, 명절지원, 취업연계 및 교육서비스, 후원금 지원 등에 대한 욕구가 높았다. 따라서 차상위 계층에 대한 지역사회보호체계 확충과 서비스 대상자의 역량강화 모색, 가족구성별 맞춤형 프로그램 개발 및 운영 확대, 빈곤탈출을 위한 지원서비스 확대가 이루어질 수 있도록 사회변화에 맞는 사회복지정책 방향이 모색되어야 할 것이다.

Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate how home-based hospice care is provided in Korea. Methods: From July 2011 through August 2011, 29 hospice facilities that provide home-based hospice care were surveyed using a questionnaire. Items included in the questionnaire were general characteristics of the organization, staff members, service programs, difficulties. Results: Among the surveyed, hospice care was hospital-based for 11 (37.9%) facilities, hospital-independent center-based care for four (13.8%) and home-based care only for 10 (34.5%). Near half the participants were located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. Caregivers included nurses for 62.1% of the participants, volunteers 62.0%, pastors 44.8%, social workers 37.9%, coordinators 31.0% and doctors 31.0%. The facilities offered service programs such as family counseling (96.6%), transfer to other facilities (93.1%), psychological support (89.7%), bereavement support (86.2%), dying care (79.3%), clinical care (75.9%) and spiritual support (75.9%). The major obstacles were financial issues (24.1%), lack of trained staff (20.7%) and staff members' lack of awareness of home-based hospice care (13.8%). Conclusion: In Korea, home-based hospice care is provided by an insufficient number of facilities. Moreover, the service providers are experiencing difficulties such as lack of trained staff, insufficient financial resource and staff's lack of awareness of home-based hospice care. It is necessary to increase the number of home-based hospice care facilities with consideration of even distribution across regions and standard staffing and service programs and develop related insurance policies.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effectiveness of peer relation improvement program on peer relation in children of multi-cultural families. To test of the effectiveness of the program, this study employed pretest-posttest control group design. Total 18 multi-cultural families' children have completed the program, 9 children were in experimental group, whereas 9 ones belonged to control group, the date were analyzed by Wilcoxon singed rank test and Mann-Whitney U test. As the result, The peer relation improvement program was verified to effect on children' peer relation Improvement The limitations of the study were discussed, as well as the application of the study results and recommendations for additional exploratory research.
