(A Packet Loss Recovery Algorithm for Tree-based Mobile Multicast) (트리기반 이동 멀티캐스트를 위한 패킷손실회복 알고리즘)

  • This paper describes algorithm that minimizes recovery time of packet loss resulting from handoff in multicast environments and guarantees reliability through interaction of FN(Foreign Network) with PMTP(Predictable Multicast Tree Protocol). To solve the problems that inefficient routing and handoff delay taking plate when using hi-directional tunneling and remote subscription independently in multicast environments, proposed algorithm uses tunneling and rejoining multicast group according to the status of an arriving FA in a foreign network. Furthermore, proposed algorithm sends packet loss information and register message to previous FA or current FA at the same time. so, MH is able to recovery packet loss in handoff delay as soon as possible. As a result of performance analysis, proposed algorithm is more efficient than previous researches and is applicable to existing handoff method without requiring additional procedures.

  • In this paper, we design the radio interface protocols of wideband Wireless Local Loop(WLL) that uses wideband Code Division Multiple Access(CDMA), and propose the random access procedures on access channel and analyze the performance of the channel. The structure of radio interface protocols are designed by three modular parts to meet the requirements of IMT-2000 : radio resource controlling part that depends on the radio resources, connection controlling part that is independent of the radio resources, and application part that supports the interface between different parts and user terminals. In addition, we propose the random access procedures on access channel and analyze the performance of the channel. We assume that both near-far effect and shadow fading can be compensated by open loop power control. We observe that the number of access probes(delay) depend on the initial mobile transmission power and power increment, and the poor estimation of initial mobile transmission power might increase the average number of access probes.

An Adaptive Follow-Me Replication Scheme for Service Profile Management in Virtual Home Environment (가상 홈 환경에서 서비스 프로파일 관리를 위한 적응적 추종 중복 기법)

  • It is expected that per-user customized services are widely used in next generation Personal Communication Network. The ultimate goal for personalized service is the Virtual home Environment (VHE) providing ´same-look-and-feel´ services for the subscriber wherever he roams to. To provide personalized services for each call, per-user service profiles are frequently referenced, so efficient service profile management is essentially required. To realized the VHE, typically two schemes, can be employed; One is Intelligent Network based service control and the other is a full replication scheme that always replicates profile in user´s current zone. The first scheme is referred as Central scheme and th second scheme is the modified replication scheme of IMT-2000, we refer to as Follow-Me Replication Unconditional (FMRU). Since the Central scheme only depends on the service cal rate and the FMRU is merely dependent on the movement rate, it is apparent that FMRU scheme outperforms the Central scheme if the call to mobility ratio (CMR) is large, and vice versa. In this paper, we propose a new service profile replication schemes, Adaptive Follow-Me Replication (AFMR) that determine replication automatically according to the user´s CMR. We compared the performance of the AFMR with the non-adaptive Follow-Me Replication unconditional on Demand (FMRUD) scheme. Performance results indicate that as the CMR of a user changes AFMR adapts well compared to the existing schemes.

  • 근래에 한국의 생명보험 시장에는 주요 질병의 보장을 위한 상품들이 연일 쏟아져 나오고 있다. 그러나 이와 함께 증가될 수 있는 리스크에 대한 대비는 상대적으로 부족한 실정이다. 특히 간질환에 의한 급부발생이 타질환에 비하여 현격하게 높은 국내 실정에 맞게 언더라이팅 초점이 맞추어져야 할 필요가 있다. 간질환 유발인자로 대표적인 것은 B형 간염이지만, 과다한 알코올 섭취에 의한 간질환 역시 매해 빠른 속도로 증가하는 추세이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 알코올에 의한 질환의 종류와 이와 관련된 보험금 청구 통계, 그리고 음주로 인한 교통사고의 폐해에 대해 살펴보고, 알코올 남용자를 사전에 판별할 방법을 찾아보고자 한다. 일반적으로 알려져 있는 알코올 관련 질환으로는 지방간, 알코올성 간염, 알코올성 간경변이 있으며, 이로 인한 급부발생율은 급격히 증가하고 있다. 음주로 인한 폐해는 단순히 간질환에 그치지 않고 있으며, 교통사고의 상당수가 음주와 관련이 되어있다. 이러한 리스크에 대해 국내의 상당수 보험사들은 혈액검사를 통하여 간기능에 대한 기준을 설정하여 언더라이팅을 하고 있다. 현재 주로 시행되고 있는 간기능 검사들에 대한 정확도에 대해서는 논란이 있을 수 있다. 따라서 보다 정밀한 검사법들에 대한 연구가 필요할 것이다. 외국의 경우, 보험을 가입하고자 하는 보험 대상자들은 직업이나 흡연, 위험 취미뿐만 아니라 알코올과 관련된 일정한 양식의 질문표에 대하여 성실하게 고지하도록 하고 있다. 국내에도 알코올과 관련된 자세한 고지항목을 첨부하여, 일정 기준에 미치지 못하는 가입자에 대하여 표준미달체로 분류하여 보다 정밀한 검진을 통해 세밀한 언더라이팅이 이루어져야 하겠다. 이와 아울러, 알코올로 인한 사회적 폐해의 심각성에 대한 인식 확대를 위한 각 보험사 및 유관기관의 노력이 전개된다면, 음주에 대한 진사 절차가 수월해질 것으로 기대된다.

  • To overcome the limit of a point-point connection type service which is common to the ISDN bearer services, a new concept of network element, Service Node, which can provide multiparty connections and control the teleservices on those connections is proposed. This will support conference type multiparty multimedia services among normal ISDN subscribers. In this paper, as a primary study on this concept, we deduce some attributes of the general conference type services and examine the methods and procedures to provide that kind of services through the ISDN. Based on this study, we also define the general requirements and basic structure for the Service Node realization, thus give shape to the concept of it.

  • By employing the subscriber concept in broadcasting services, IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) operators provide various grades of services to subscribers based on the billing level of the subscribers. With the income from subscribers for a basis, IPTV operators plan to provide high quality services. Since Web browser-based IPTV provides T-commerce and E-commerce services as well as television services, users may frequently visit other service domains to buy goods or content. To provide the user with charged or private services, these service domains request authentication of user. The existing authentication system is not appropriate for the IPTV service environment because the environment unavoidably forces the user to cross from one authentication-based service domain to another. Single sign-on provides a user with transparent authentication services by enabling an authenticated user to move between authentication-based service domains without any re-authentication. Like this distributed environment, since the IPTV service environment also provides a variety of authentication-based services, transparent authentication service needs to be provided to subscribers who want to access charged or private services. In this paper, we propose a new user authentication scheme for the IPTV environment. This scheme integrates the Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), which is a standard for XML-based single sign on. We validate this scheme using a simple use case scenario.

  • 전술데이터링크는 전장 환경에서 모든 플랫폼들을 네트워크를 통해 하나로 묶어 전쟁 효과를 극대화할 수 있는 기반이 되는 통신 기술이다. 이러한 전술데이터링크의 원활한 운영을 위해 플랫폼간 시간 동기가 필수적이며, 대부분 GPS(Global Positioning System)를 사용하고 있다. 전세계적으로 가장 널리 사용되고 있는 전술데이터링크인 Link-16 에서는 네트워크에 가입하면서 NTR(Network Time Reference) 과의 시간을 동기화하는 절차를 제공한다. 이러한 시간 동기 절차는 대략적인 동기와 정밀한 동기의 두 단계로 구분된다. 대략적인 동기는 프레임이 시작하는 첫 타임 슬롯에서 주변 노드로부터 IEM(Initial Entry Message)을 수신하여 전송 시간만큼의 오류를 포함하는 시간 동기 방식이다. 본 논문에서는 모의 실험을 통해 IEM 을 전송하는 노드의 거리에 따른 메시지의 충돌 확률을 구하고, 그 충돌 확률에 따라 시간 동기에 소요되는 시간으로 Link-16 의 시간 동기 성능을 분석하였다.

  • Although the rights of data subjects are defined through laws such as the Personal Information Protection Act, the consent process for collecting personal information by financial institutions is only formal and does not guarantee the right of self-determination of personal information. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the problem by information provision items of the current model, and to improve by changing the structure such as replacing the current method provided with the text with pictures and videos, and mandatory to provide the information subjects with personal information flow related images from the signing up stage. The improvement model is presented as a way to add a procedure to the current model. The effect was verified through a survey. It is hoped that the proposed model is actually reflected through the review to create an environment that can be a true meaning agreement that reflects the information subject's right to self-determination.

  • The concept of Service Node as the network element which can provide the multiparty multimedia services based on the ISDN was presented in last study. In this study, a multiparty connection service system(Service Node and terminals) was designed using the concepts, procedure, function, and structure of Service Node given above. Based on this, a small scale experimental model giving multiparty call connection control and voice service control function was implemented and tested, which proved the applicability of the concept and validity of the procedure of the Service Node. The experimental model of service system for 4 subscriber capacity was composed of a Service Node emulator and terminals with general S-interface card. The goal of implementation and testing was concentrated of the verification of the proposed functions and procedures of service system and the test results told us that the proposed concept is adequate.
