Development of Teflon Coating Equipment Used in Medical Treatment (의료용 가이드 와이어의 테프론 코팅 장치 개발)

  • This paper proposes a method of designing the main parameters of the Teflon coating equipment of a guide wire used in medical treatment. The proposed device was designed to be guided by a reel-to-reel method in which the guide wire performs all processes continuously, such as Teflon coating and heat treatment. At this time, the conveyed guide wire vibrates between the rollers, which affects the quality of the coating. Therefore, this paper proposes a dynamic equation of the guide wire to be transported in the longitudinal direction, and design parameters setting method of the feed speed and the interval of the roller supporting the wire is proposed to minimize the vibration amplitude of the guide wire during transport. The Teflon coating of the medical guide wire was carried out based on the developed coating equipment. The target coating thickness of the guide wire was set to less than $10{\mu}m$ in the circumferential direction, and the results were examined by optical microscopy.

  • For simple and repetitive transport tasks in limited spaces such as in factories, it is more efficient to use mobile robots instead of human workers. For this reason, the reliance on mobile robots is increasing due to the increased implementation of smart factories. Currently, the structural design of the Mecanum wheel is required to ensure the stability of the moving robot since it is used for the transport of not only small products but also large products. In this paper, to improve the stability and durability of the Mecanum wheel, ways to improve the structure of the Mecanum wheel are presented. Then, using the Castigliano theorem, the structural stability is reviewed through the deflection on existing and improved structures.

  • 본 논문에서는 해저케이블 부두 하역용 장비인 코일링 암(coiling arm)에 대한 구조설계 및 해석을 수행하였다. 본 연구에서는 구조설계를 위해 3차원 CAD프로그램을 이용하여 모델링하였고 구조해석 프로그램을 이용하여 유한요소법에 기초한 전산해석 기법으로 해석을 수행하였다. 코일링 암의 목적에 맞추어 케이블을 케이블 탱크에 가이드 할 수 있도록 베어링 및 롤러를 설계하여 메인 암이 회전하고 케이블 가이드가 이동할 수 있도록 하였고, 기존의 외국 모델에서 사용하던 와이어 및 모터 시스템을 이용한 케이블 가이드 작동방식을 유압 시스템을 이용한 작동방식으로 변경하여 설계 및 제작이 쉽고 사용자가 직관적으로 작동할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 자중 및 케이블 하중에 대한 응력 해석을 수행하였고, 유압시스템에 의한 파손 가능성을 고려하였다. 케이블 가이드에 이동 및 지면 경사도에 따른 전복해석을 수행하였으며, 설치 장소를 고려한 풍하중 효과도 추가로 고려하였다. 본 연구를 통해 코일링 암의 작동방식을 개선하였으며 설계 및 해석 방법을 확립과 더불어 국내 최초로 실제 코일링 암을 제작 및 설치하였다.

The Development of Monitoring System for Guide Roller in Wire Rolling Process (선재 가이드롤러 모니터링 시스템 개발)

  • In order to cope with the occurrence of abnormal operation, rotatory condition monitoring system for guide roller of finishing train in wire rolling has been developed. In this study, proximity sensor and its holding devices that could overcome severe in-situ measurement conditions was designed and MMI software using C++ was programmed. Performance of the developed system turned out to be good enough as results of in-line test for POSCO #3 wire rolling mill. It is expected to contribute to prevent the cobble and the grade-down of products caused by the abnornormal operation of guide rollers.

  • In this study, we developed new tapered rolling type strip pressure key for the prevention of scratch in sheet metal forming line. The developed pressure key is equipped with two tapered rollers inside a conventional block pressure key. Through the scratch test, for the case of transversal movement the tapered rolling type pressure key reduces both friction and depth of scratch by the effect of tapered shape which decreases the pressure spike on edge, and for longitudinal movement the scratch on the sheet metal surface is certainly removed by the rolling contact.

  • The purpose of this study was development and evaluation of putting training system with specialized guides which were adjustable its width and changeable its distance from the ball. The system hardwares that used in this study were made by LEGO NXT and Tetrix set. The system software was made by LabVIEW ver. 2010. The subjects were organized in non-experts(10persons) and KPGA(5persons) players. The putting training schedule was composed of 10 sets and each sets were identically same, which were organized in 4 different width of its guide at 3 different distance from the ball hitting spot, 3 repetition each. The speed/acceleration in wrist area and movement in head area were both reduced by the putting training. Most of testees submitted positive comments in aspect of concentration and motivation. This training method which had changeable width and distance will be able to adapt easily to another sports for the handicapped and the elderly such as ParkGolf or Gateball.

  • Front-back vibrations of high-speed elevator need to be suppressed as in the case of lateral vibrations. The dynamic model for the front-back vibrations is different from the lateral vibration model since the supporting structure varies. In this study, a dynamic model was derived using the energy method. Based on the free vibration analysis, it was observed that the fundamental frequency for the front-back vibration is slightly lower than the fundamental frequency of the lateral vibration, which means that the active vibration control should be carried out in both directions. The PPF control algorithm was applied to the numerical model under measured rail irregularities. The numerical results show that the active vibration control of elevator front-back vibration is also possible.

  • In the multi-pass shape drawing process, the pass schedule that includes the determination of reduction ratio and intermediate die shape is very important. This study used the equal reduction, equal load, and electric field analysis method for pass schedule of the multi-pass shape drawing. The reduction ratio was calculated by the equal reduction and equal load method. And the intermediate die shape was determined by the result of the electric field analysis and the calculated reduction ratio. The proposed pass schedule method was applied to a shape drawing for producing cross roller guide. Finally, FE-analysis and shape drawing experiment were performed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
