A Comparative Study on the Flow and Heat Transfer Performance Characteristics of Vortex Generators and Guide Vane in Fin-Tube (핀-튜브에서 와류 발생기와 가이드 베인의 유동 및 전열 성능 특성에 관한 비교 연구)

  • In this paper, the effects of the delta winglet vortex generator, the airfoil vortex generator and the guide vanes on the friction factor and the Colburn factor in the fin-tube flow were studied. The vortex generator and guide vane were non-dimensionalized based on the channel height and tube diameter, and locations were selected according to the authors' suggestions. The Reynolds number based on the inlet velocity and the tube diameter was selected in the range of 1400-8000. As a result, the friction factor resulted in a 4.7% decrease in guide vanes at the Reynolds number 8000 over the conventional fin-tube, and the Colburn factor resulted in a 33% increase in the delta winglet vortex generator at the Reynolds number 3800 over the conventional fin-tube.

  • Dynamic pressure sensor used in liquid rocket engine combustor and gas turbine is recess-mounted usually because it should work in high temperature environment. Although recess-mounted method can protect it from combustion gas in high temperature, tube resonance occurs in a tube-cavity system. To reduce it, the infinite tube probe(ITP) was introduced in this study. The ITP model suggested in previous literature was validated with experimental data and frequency response characteristics were analyzed. Guidelines for designing the ITP were suggested as frequency response profiles varied with geometric information and physical properties using this model.

  • Recently, full-scale research about a passenger tube train system is being progressed as a next-generation transportation system in Korea in light of global green technology. The Korea Railroad Research Institute (KRRI) has commenced official research on the construction of a tube train system. In this paper, we studied various parameters of the tube train system such as the internal tube pressure, blockage ratio, and operating speed through computational analysis with a symmetric and elongated vehicle. This study was about the aerodynamic characteristics of a tube train that operated under standard atmospheric pressure (open field system, viz., ground) and in various internal tube environments (varying internal tube pressure, blockage ratio, and operating speed) with the same shape and operating speed. Under these conditions, the internal tube pressure was calculated when the energy efficiency had the same value as that of the open field train depending on various combinations of the operating speed and blockage ratio (the P-D relation). In addition, the dependence of the relation between the internal tube pressure and the blockage ratio (the P-${\beta}$ relation) was shown. Besides, the dependence of the relation between the total drag and the operating speed depending on various combinations of the blockage ratio and internal tube pressure (the D-V relation) was shown. Also, we compared the total (aerodynamic) drag of a train in the open field with the total drag of a train inside a tube. Then, we calculated the limit speed of the tube train, i.e., the maximum speed, for various internal tube pressures (the V-P relation) and the critical speed that leads to shock waves under various blockage ratios, which is related to the efficiency of the tube train (the critical V-${\beta}$ relation). Those results provide guidelines for the initial design and construction of a tube train system.

Children's YouTube Watching Behaviors and Their Adjustments: Mediation Effects of Parental Attitude, Self Esteem, and School Satisfaction (초등학생의 유튜브 이용과 심리적 적응 : 부모양육태도, 자아존중감, 학교생활만족도의 매개효과)

  • The present study was designed to examine how much Korean elementary school children used the YouTube, and tested whether the overuse of YouTube might be related to adjustment problems such as low parental warmth, low self-esteem, and low school satisfaction. Two hundred and thirty-eight elementary school students answered a questionnaire enquiring about their YouTube use, parental practice, self-esteem, and school satisfaction. Results indicated that more than half of the participants watched the YouTube at least one hour per day, and 15.6% of them watched the YouTube more than 3 hours per day. Negative relationships between YouTube watching time and parental warmth, self-esteem, and school satisfaction were found. YouTube watching time also partially mediated between parental warmth and adjustment problems. Parental rejection and overprotection were not related to children's YouTube watching time. These study results can be used as seminal data for developing children's YouTube watching guidelines.

  • The spent fuel skeleton is processed in the cutting processing after compacting. If the cutting length is processed in the same interval length. The spent fuel skeleton is stayed on the connection of bottom nozzle and guide tube. In the case, because the compressive stress is loaded along the length, the guide tube is generated the buckling stress and the deforming. But the deformed guide tube interrupted the guide tube inserted through compressive room. therefore, it is experimented for the optimum buckling stress and the preventing of guide deformed. This paper is predicted the all over buckling stress of the spent fuel skeleton by using experiment. The guide of Spent fuel skeleton have buckling characteristics of the medium column. The experiment and analysis is conducted by the comparing among the equation of Euler, Johnson and Engresser. The fittest one of method is Engresser equation.

Evaluation of luminance performance of scintillating film for monitoring the position of a radioactive source in an NDT apparatus (비파괴검사 장치 내 방사선원 위치감시용 섬광필름의 발광성능 평가)

  • In domestic nondestructive testing(NDT) field, there have recently been radiation exposure accidents due to a disregard for confirmation of the position of radioisotope during the test. In order to prevent these kinds of accidents, a scintillating film has been developed. The scintillating film that can convert gamma-ray to visible light has a function of the position detection of radioisotope in a opaque guide tube of an NDT apparatus. The aim of this study is to enhance the visibility performance of the scintillating film and find out the best configuration of the scintillating film. In order to find appropriate materials for the scintillating film, various inorganic scintillating materials were evaluated in this work. An absolute luminance of the scintillating films was measured by luminance meter for evaluation of visibility performance. Ir-192 gamma projector was used for NDT apparatus. The experiment shows that the scintillating film with reflective layer was the more effective performance for visibility. The higher mixing ratio of scintillating material to binding material, the higher luminance was measured. $Gd_2O_2S(Tb)$ inorganic powder as the scintillating materials had the best performance for visibility of the scintillating film. The developed scintillating film helps to ensure safer environment to the operators.

  • 동시 증발 증착법 화합물의 구성원자를 독립적으로 증발시켜서 기판에 증착하는 방법이다. 각 물질은 온도에 따른 증기압을 가지는데 각 물질의 온도를 조절하여 증착률을 조절한다. 보트에서 떠난 원자가 기판에 도달할 확률은 챔버의 진공도, 보토와 기판과의 거리 등에 의하여 영향을 받는다. 진공도가 나쁠수록, 보트와 기판과의 거리가 멀수록 기판에 도달할 확률이 떨어진다. 동시증발 증착법을 이용한 SmBCO 초전도층 증착에서 각 물질의 기판에 도달하는 원자비를 조절하기 위하여 QCM(증착률 측정장치), QCM 가이드를 사용하였다. QCM sensor 입구에 튜브형태의 QCM 가이드를 설치하고 QCM 가이드가 특정한 물질의 증발보트를 향하도록 배치하였다. 따라서 각 보트에서 떠난 원자들은 특정한 QCM sensor에 도달하게 되고 결국 3원소(Sm, Ba, Cu)의 증착률의 비를 조절함으로써 조성비를 조절할 수 있게 된다. QCM 증착률의 비와 실제 조성비는 여러 가지 변수에 의하여 영향을 받는 다. 대표적인 변수는 챔버의 진공도, QCM 가이드의 직경 및 길이, QCM 센서와 보트와의 거리 등이 있다. 진공도가 높을수록 특정 보트에서 떠난 원자들이 QCM 가이드 입구에 도달할 확률이 낮아지고, QCM 가이드의 직경이 좁을수록 가이드 내벽에 흡착될 확률이 높아진다. 또한 QCM센서와 보트와의 거리가 멀수록 챔버내 잔류가스의 원자들과 충돌확률이 높아지므로 도달확률이 줄어들게 된다. 동시 증발 증확법에서 조성비의 재현성을 높이기 위해서는 매회 증착실험에서 진공도가 일정해야 하며, QCM 가이드와 보트와의 거리를 되도록 최소화 하고, QCM 직경을 크게 하는 것이 유리하다.

A Machine Learning-based Popularity Prediction Model for YouTube Mukbang Content (머신러닝 기반의 유튜브 먹방 콘텐츠 인기 예측 모델)

  • In this study, models for predicting the popularity of mukbang content on YouTube were proposed, and factors influencing the popularity of mukbang content were identified through post-analysis. To accomplish this, information on 22,223 pieces of content was collected from top mukbang channels in terms of subscribers using APIs and Pretty Scale. Machine learning algorithms such as Random Forest, XGBoost, and LGBM were used to build models for predicting views and likes. The results of SHAP analysis showed that subscriber count had the most significant impact on view prediction models, while the attractiveness of a creator emerged as the most important variable in the likes prediction model. This confirmed that the precursor factors for content views and likes reactions differ. This study holds academic significance in analyzing a large amount of online content and conducting empirical analysis. It also has practical significance as it informs mukbang creators about viewer content consumption trends and provides guidance for producing high-quality, marketable content.

Experimental investigation of friction in guide zone of tube hydroforming with material and lubricant (튜브 액압성형 공정의 가이드영역에서 소재 및 윤활에 따른 마찰 특성의 실험적 연구)

  • In this study, friction test was proposed to obtain coefficient of friction between tube and die in guide zone of tube hydroforming and friction coefficients were evaluated at different materials, viscosity of lubricants and internal pressures. For this study, STKM11A and SUS tubes were prepared. The tube was expanded by an internal pressure against the tool wall. By pushing the tube through the tool, a friction force at the contact surface between the tube and the tool occurs From the recorded axial feeding forces, the friction coefficients between tube and die at the guide zone in tubular hydroforming can be estimated. The effects of the various internal pressures, viscosity of lubricants, tube materials, tube size and die coating on the friction forces and friction coefficients are discussed.

  • 조사재시험시설내 풀 ($3{\times}6{\times}10\textrm{m}^3$) 속에는 풀과 핫셀간에 조사재 및 연료를 핫셀로 이송할 수있는 버켓 엘리베이터(bucket elevator)가 설치되어 있다. 허용하중은 1톤이고, 버켓의 제원은 $25{\times}25{\times}150\textrm{cm}^3$ 이다. 버켓의 상하 운동은 체인구동 시스템으로 약 63도의 경사도를 갖고 움직이며, 체인은 사각 튜브의 내측면에 고정되어 있는 상하 가이드 레일 사이에서 특수 제작된 체인이 로울러 슬라이딩 방식으로 버켓의 lug를 잡고 상하로 움직이며 핫셀 작업대(working table) 하부에 설치되어 있는 스프로켓 휠(sprocket wheel)에 감기어 구동하도록 되어 있다.(중략)
