  • This study aims to identify the effects: quality of chest compressions, height and weight of pregnant women cardiac arrest while lying $30^{\circ}$ inclined to the left has on the quality of chest compressions administered by 119 EMT. For the purpose of this study, 62 members of 119 EMTs in M, N, S, Y cities and G cities of J province agreed to join in the test and the test was conducted from June 15 to 16 in 2015. Two mannequins (Resusci Anne$^{(R)}$) were used for the study and the chest compression process was recorded with the use of the Laerdal PC Skill Reporting System$^{(R)}$. As a result, it was discovered that for patients with a $30^{\circ}$ left inclination, who were below 170 cm in height and 65 kg in weight, the proper frequency and depth of compression were unsatisfactory. With this in mind, training programs and instruments that can improve the quality of chest compressions depending on a person's (patient's) height and weight should be developed.

  • In this paper, We purpose the basic data for the success of effective CPR using mirror in order to increase the quality of chest compression during CPR. The subject of this study was an experimental study based on a randomized crossover design of 28 people who completed the BLS Health Care Provider, and collected data were analyzed by SPSS Ver. 23.0 for Win statistics program. As the research methods, depth, speed, compression to relaxation ratio, arm angle and easiness during the chest compression were measured. Taken together, the results of this study showed that using a mirror-based chest compression method for chest compressions in adult CPR could make chest compressions easier, in addition, the quality of breast compression was improved by improving the posture of the rescuers, such as the average depth of compression, compression to relaxation ratio, and arm angle. However, it is necessary to confirm the feasibility of clinical application through additional studies on various environmental factors and job groups for mirror-based chest compression method.

  • This study aims to investigate the improvement in basic CPR quality on the basis of the hip joint angle of the rescuer among students in the Department of Emergency Medical Technology who completed a basic CPR curriculum. In this study, we carried out a comparative analysis using SimPad SkillReporter and Resusci Anne® QCPR® to measure the quality of CPR (depth of chest compressions, full relaxation, compression speed, and more) on the basis of the rescuer's hip joint angle in accordance with the 2015 AHA Guidelines and conducted chest compressions and CPR 5 times in a 30:2 ratio. It was found that maintenance of the rescuer's hip joint angle at 90 degrees while compressing and relaxing the chest made a statistically significant difference in both the experimental and control groups. Moreover, this indicated that the closer the hip joint angle was to 90 degrees, the better was the quality of basic CPR. However, there was no significant difference in the hip joint angle, degree of CPR, depth of chest compressions, chest compression speed, chest compression and relaxation percentages (%), accuracy of chest compressions, hands-off time during CPR, and percentage of chest compression time (p > 0.05). Maintaining the hip joint angle at 90 degrees for basic CPR was not significantly different from not maintaining this angle. Nonetheless, good results have been obtained at moderate depth and 100% recoil. Therefore, good outcome and high-quality CPR are expected.

  • Cardiac arrest is a series of conditions that occur when the heart is stopped, regardless of the cause. Cardiac arrest due to heart disease is included in the cause of death in korea every year and is unpredictable. One of the only ways to save a patient's life when a cardiac arrest is cardiopulmonary resuscitation is to maintain circulation through this procedure. Therefore compared the quality of chest compressions with visual information using mirrors. There was a significant difference in the mean depth of chest compressions(48.93±6.76, 53.86±4.56, <0.001), and there was also a difference in compression to relaxation ratio(0.87±0.13, 0.96±0.10, <0.002). There was also a significant difference in attitude awareness(4.93±0.85, 8.14±1.38, <0.001).

Cardiac arrest due to heart disease is included in the cause of death in korea every year and is unpredictable. One of the only ways to save a patient's life when a cardiac arrest is cardiopulmonary resuscitation is to maintain circulation through this procedure. The visual information is transmitted to the brain through the optic nerve. Among them, the mittor can see its movement and its shape, and it can be used for correction and analysis. Therefore compared the quality of chest compressions with visual information using mirrors. There was a significant difference in the mean depth of chest compressions($48.93{\pm}6.76$, $53.86{\pm}4.56$, <0.001), and there was also a difference in compression to relaxation ratio($0.87{\pm}0.13$, $0.96{\pm}0.10$, <0.002). • Purpose: This study aimed to identify effective cardiopulmonary resuscitation methods by comparing the fatigue of rescuers according to various positions in cardiopulmonary resuscitation situations conducted on beds in hospitals. Methods: An experimental study of students in the department of emergency medical service in H University, G Metropolitan City was conducted in four positions for applying chest pressure on mannequins on beds. Results: As a result of measuring the muscle fatigue of four muscle attachments according to the four positions conducted on the bed, the average was 3.4%, the P was significant at 0.001, and the fatigue difference was confirmed to occur depending on the attachment. An analysis of pressure depth by pose revealed that P1, P2, P3, and P4 have a depth of 58.3, 55.1, 56.4, and 56.3 mm, respectively, with P4 having the deepest depth. Conclusion: Among the various postures of the rescuer during cardiopulmonary resuscitation performed on the bed in the hospital, P1 is thought to be the most tiring, although its associated CPR quality is good.
