주암호의 계절별 용존가스상 수은의 변화 및 특성

  • DGM은 상온에서 휘발성을 가지는 수은의 독특한 화학적 성질 때문에 쉽게 대기로 방출될 수 있고, 대기 중으로의 DGM 방출은 수체 내 수은의 유일한 제거 기작일 뿐만 아니라, 고정상으로 존재하던 수은이 다시 이동상의 수은으로 변화하는 중요한 과정이다. 본 연구는 2005년 8월과 10월에 주암호를 대상으로 실시간 자동분석 장치(Tekran 2537A)를 이용하여 DGM 농도변화를 관찰하였다. 전반적인 주암호(n=23)의 여름철 평균 BGM 농도는 110 ${\pm}$ 21 pg $L^{-1}$으로 기존에 발표된 국외 호수에서의 DGM 농도보다 약 3배정도 높았다. 강우에 따른(강우량 : 0.4 mm) DGM 농도 변화는 비가오기 전 89 pg $L^{-1}$ 에서 비온 뒤 89 pg $L^{-1}$ 으로 약 9%가 증가했다. 그러나 가을철 평균 DGM 농도(n=21)는 20 ${\pm}$ 0.4pg $L^{-1}$ 로 여름철보다 약 5.5배 감소했고, 비가 내리는 날씨에서의 DGM 농도는 13.7 pg $L^{-1}$ 로 맑은 날 같은 시간에 비해(32 pg $L^{-1}$) 약 58% 감소했다.

Evaluation on Creep Life Prediction of Aircraft Gas Turbine Material by AE (음향방출법에 의한 항공기용 가스터빈 재료의 크리프 수명예측 평가)

  • There has been no report on the life prediction for gas turbine materials at high temperatures based on the creep properties and their relationship with the AE(acoustic emission) properties as a means of real-time non-destructive testing. One of the important issues is thus to develop a reliable method of evaluating creep properties by the AE technique. In this paper, the real-time evaluation of high temperature creep time and AE cumulative counts for nickel-based superalloy Udimet 720 was performed on round-bar type specimens under pure load at the temperatures of 811, 922 and 977K. The total AE cumulative counts until the starting point of secondary creep($N_1$) and that of tertiary creep($N_2$) have quantitative relationship with the tertiary creep time and the rupture time. It is thus possible to construct the life prediction system based on creep and the prevention system of tertiary creep by using AE technique.

  • We investigated design requirements of vent lines for Sodium-Water Reaction Pressure Relief System of Prototype Generation-IV Sodium-Cooled Fast Reactor. We developed design requirements of areas of the rupture disks of the steam generator, a diameter of the gas vent line of the sodium dump tank, a diameter of the gas vent line of the water dump tank, a diameter of the water dump line of the steam generator. With the design requirements, we calculated the time to vent fluid inside the steam generator and analyzed the transient pressure behavior, also evaluated the close pressure value of the isolation valve of the water dump line. Our results are expected to be used as basis information to design Sodium-Water Reaction Pressure Relief System of Prototype Generation IV Sodium-Cooled Fast Reactor.

  • $CO_2$ extinguishing system is the most $\phi$pular among the gas extinguishing system. $CO_2$ is usually stored with liquified state. But, it gasifies at the tip of nozzle when $CO_2$ was released through the pipe and head. A ro$\alpha$n temperature is very low when $CO_2$ was released. So electrical instrument, magnetic storage equipment and memory semiconductor are electrically or physically injured by cooling effect in a few minutes. So, we intend to find out temperature profile and electrical damage in compartment area, and supply basic d data for research and making standards and code through the full scale experiment. As result of experiment on the damage due to cooling effect from $CO_2$ extinguishing system, i instantaneous discharging temperature. was $-82.5^{\circ}C$ in average. An average temp. in the compartment after discharging $CO_2$ was $-40^{\circ}C$.

Retrieval of Fire Radiative Power from Himawari-8 Satellite Data Using the Mid-Infrared Radiance Method (히마와리 위성자료를 이용한 산불방사열에너지 산출)

  • Fire radiative power(FRP), which means the power radiated from wildfire, is used to estimate fire emissions. Currently, the geostationary satellites of East Asia do not provide official FRP products yet, whereas the American and European geostationary satellites are providing near-real-time FRP products for Europe, Africa and America. This paper describes the first retrieval of Himawari-8 FRP using the mid-infrared radiance method and shows the comparisons with MODIS FRP for Sumatra, Indonesia. Land surface emissivity, an essential parameter for mid-infrared radiance method, was calculated using NDVI(normalized difference vegetation index) and FVC(fraction of vegetation coverage) according to land cover types. Also, the sensor coefficient for Himawari-8(a = 3.11) was derived through optimization experiments. The mean absolute percentage difference was about 20%, which can be interpreted as a favourable performance similar to the validation statistics of the American and European satellites. The retrieval accuracies of Himawari FRP were rarely influenced by land cover types or solar zenith angle, but parts of the pixels showed somewhat low accuracies according to the fire size and viewing zenith angle. This study will contribute to estimation of wildfire emissions and can be a reference for the FRP retrieval of current and forthcoming geostationary satellites in East Asia.

Emission Evaluation of Emulsion Fuel Prepared from Bunker C Oil (벙커 C유를 사용한 에멀젼 연료유의 배기가스 특성)

  • In this study, water in oil (W/O) emulsion fuel was prepared with surfactant mixture of OIMS90 and NP12 by varying ratio of water to bunker-C oil, surfactant concentration and composition, emulsification time, stirring intensity, temperature and mixing time. Diesel engine performance and exhaust emissions were measured and analyzed with prepared emulsified fuel and compared with those measured using bunker Coil. The results indicated that bunker C emulsion fuel stabilized by surfactant mixture of OIMS90 and NP12 is efficient in reducing emissions of particulate matter, $NO_2$, CO, $CO_2$ and $SO_2$. The biggest reduction in exhaust emission was achieved by using emulsion fuel prepared by OIMS90/NP12 = 4 : 6, 500 ppm of total surfactant concentration and 10% water content at $80^{\circ}C$. Boiler efficiency test measured with emulsion fuel showed excellent energy efficiency compared with bunker C oil.

Estimation of Ammonia Stripping Condition for Adequate Aerobic Liquid-Composting of Swine Manure (돈분뇨의 적합한 호기성 액비화를 위한 암모니아 탈기조건 설정)

  • Aeration is the most important and indispensable operation unit for the treatment of swine manure using aerobic liquid-composting process. The composting of swine manure depends on biological treatment process, but the highly concentrated ammonia nitrogen is required a pretreatment to expect the appropriate efficiency of the biological treatment process. In this study, pilot experiments have been carried out to estimate of the fit condition about ammonia stripping process as a pretreatment to aerobic liquid- composting. pH adjustment with $Ca(OH)_2$ was economically superior to use of NaOH and optimum pH of ammonia stripping was 12.3, ammonia nitorgen was rapidly removed as pH were increased at $$35^{\circ}C$$. When air stripping is performed before aerobic liquid-stripping, a high initial pH is required for complete ammonia removal and is additional effects such as organic substances, phosphorus, turbidity, and color removal. Stripping process was very efficient in the pretreatment of highly concentrated ammonia nitrogen for composting of swine manure. Emission rate of gaseous ammonia was $0.5355mole\;s^{-1}$ at initial time and $0.0253mole\;s^{-1}$ at finitial time. The fit condition of ammonia stripping in this study were at the temperature of $$35^{\circ}C$$, and the pH of 12.3 during 48 hours.

Estimation of Fire Emissions Using Fire Radiative Power (FRP) Retrieved from Himawari-8 Satellite (히마와리 위성의 산불방사열에너지 자료를 이용한 산불배출가스 추정: 2017년 삼척 및 강릉 산불을 사례로)

  • Wildfires release a large amount of greenhouse gases (GHGs) into the atmosphere. Fire radiative power (FRP) data obtained from geostationary satellites can play an important role for tracing the GHGs. This paper describes an estimation of the Himawari-8 FRP and fire emissions for Samcheock and Gangnueng wildfire in 6 May 2017. The FRP estimated using Himawari-8 well represented the temporal variability of the fire intensity, which cannot be captured by MODIS (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer) because of its limited temporal resolution. Fire emissions calculated from the Himwari-8 FRP showed a very similar time-series pattern compared with the AirKorea observations, but 1 to 3 hour's time-lag existed because of the distance between the station and the wildfire location. The estimated emissions were also compared with those of a previous study which analyzed fire damages using high-resolution images. They almost coincided with 12% difference for Samcheock and 2% difference for Gangneung, demonstrating a reliability of the estimation of fire emissions using our Himawari-8 FRP without high-resolution images. This study can be a reference for estimating fire emissions using the current and forthcoming geostationary satellites in East Asia and can contribute to improving accuracy of meteorological products such as AOD (aerosol optical depth).

Improvement of Sensing Properties in Nanowires/Nanofibers by Forming Shells Using Atomic Layer Deposition (원자층증착법으로 형성된 셀형성을 이용한 나노선/나노섬유 화학센서의 감응성 향상)

  • 나노섬유(nanofiber), 나노선(nanowire), 그리고 나노튜브(nanotube)와 같은 1차원 구조의(one-dimensional structure) 나노재료는 벌크(bulk) 및 박막(film) 재료와는 다르게 물리적, 화학적으로 특이한 성질을 가지고 있으며, 이러한 성질은 나노재료의 구조, 형상, 크기 등에 큰 영향을 받는다. 첫 째, 전기방사(electrospinning) 공정을 이용한 나노섬유의 합성; 용액의 특성, 전기장 세기, 방사시간 등의 변수를 조절하게 되면 방출되는 재료의 형상을 입자 혹은 섬유상의 형태로 얻을 수 있으며, 전기방사를 통해 합성된 나노재료의 소결 온도 및 시간을 달리함으로써 나노입자의 크기를 조절할 수 있다. 또한, 템플레이트 합성법(template synthesis) 및 이중노즐(coaxial nozzle)을 이용해 속이 빈 형태인 중공(hollow) 구조의 나노섬유를 얻을 수 있으며, 전기방사에 사용되는 전구물질에 원하는 금속 및 산화물을 첨가함으로써 복합체(composite) 나노섬유를 얻을 수 있다. 둘 째, VLS(Vapor-Liquid-Solid) 공정을 이용한 나노선의 성장; 온도, 압력, 전구물질의 양, 그리고 시간 등의 변수를 조절하게 되면 원하는 직경 및 길이를 갖는 나노선을 성장시킬 수 있다. 그리고 ALD(Atomic Layer Deposition)를 이용해 나노선에 추가적인 층을 형성함으로써 코어-셀 구조를 형성할 수 있으며, 감마선, UV와 같은 공정을 이용해 귀금속 촉매를 나노선에 기능화 시킬 수도 있다. 코어-셀 구조를 갖는 나노선/나노섬유는 코어 혹은 셀 층의 전자나 홀의 이동을 유발하여 전자공핍층(electron depletion layer) 또는 정공축적층(hole accumulation layer)을 확대 및 축소시켜 센서의 초기저항을 증가시키거나 감소시키는 역할로써 이용되고 있으며, 특히, 셀 층의 두께가 셀 층 재료의 Debye length와 유사한 크기를 갖게 되면, 셀 층은 완전공핍층(fully depleted layer)을 형성해 최대의 감도를 나타낼 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 제조 공정을 통해 제작될 수 있는 1차원 나노-구조물을 가스센서에 적용하는 사례들을 소개하고, 이러한 가스센서의 감응성능을 향상시키기 위한 방법의 한 가지로 원자층증착법으로 나노선/나노섬유의 표면에 셀층을 형성하여 감응성 향상 메커니즘 및 관련 주요 변수들을 조사하고자 한다.

A Fire Test Measuring the Heat Release Rate of Railway Car Interior Materials Satisfying the Korean Safety Guideline (안전기준을 만족하는 철도차량 내장재의 화재 열방출율 측정시험)

  • A large-scale fire test was conducted for interior materials from a vehicle installed within a fire test room (ISO 9705). The interior materials are satisfying the Korean guideline for the safety of rail vehicles, where the guideline has taken effect since December 2004 in Korea. The output of ignition source (gas burner) was increased in several controlled steps. The objectives of this test are to assess the fire performance in terms of ignition and flame spread on interior lining materials and to provide data on an enclosure fires involving train interior materials that grow to flashover. These data will be used to develop and calibrate models for fire growth on the interiors of the railway vehicle.
