Development of Leakage Judgment Technique based on Pressure Data of Smart Gas Meter (스마트 가스 계량기 압력 데이터 기반 누출 판단 기법 개발)

  • As the meter reading method of gas meters develops, smart gas meters capable of remote meter reading (leak checking meters and multi-function safety meters) are being used. These meters have a function to judge leakage by utilizing the flow rate and pressure data collected as an additional function. Leakage judgment function using flow rate data has valid cases in the actual field, but the pressure data-based leakage judgment standard is based on not only the pressure value change due to leakage but also various factors (pressure regulator pressure, connection with adjacent meters, usage of adjacent houses, location of meters, etc.). There is a problem with pressure magnitude changes (levels). In this paper, as a technique that can judge leaks by using pressure data collected from smart gas meters, it was developed through preprocessing of pressure data, criteria for pressure value ranges related to leaks, leak judgment techniques, and application case verification.

  • 도시가스 배관의 안전을 위해 다양한 시스템이 가동되고 있지만 대부분 현장점검에 의존하는 한계점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 도시가스 공급업체들 중 하나인 중부도시가스사의 실시간 배관운영 데이터를 분석해 배관의 위험을 예측한다. 배관의 압력, 출력전압, 출력전류, 방식전위, 전위값 데이터와 기타 도시가스 관련요인 데이터를 통합해 상관분석을 진행한다. 그리고 특정 공급권역의 실시간 배관 압력 데이터를 분석해 압력 수치를 예측한다. Random forest regression과 support vector regression(SVR) 알고리즘을 사용해 모델을 구성한 결과 배관 데이터의 시계열 정보를 추가한 데이터 셋과 random forest regression을 사용한 모델에서 가장 우수한 예측 성능을 보인다.

  • LBB 설계법은 오늘날 같이 플랜트의 대형화 및 복잡화함에 따라서, 균열이 발생하였다고 하여도 기기의 점검시 발견하지 못하는 수가 있을 것이다. 이러한 경우에 있어서 LBB 설계법은 fail safe design으로서 만일의 손상이 발생하더라도 플랜트의 안전성 및 경제성 확보를 위하여 매우 중요한 설계법이다. 이 LBB 설계법은 위에서도 설명하였듯이 선진제국에서는 상당히 연구가 진전되어 있으나, 우리나라에서는 이 분야에 연구가 전혀 없는 실정이다. 특히 에너지자원이 부족한 우리나라로서는 LNG, LPG 가스의 수입에 있어서, 이러한 저온가스를 운반할 tanker의 개발에 있어서도 LBB의 확보가 중요한 것이다. 또한 발전에너지원을 석유에만 의존하는 현재의 추세에서, 우라늄 등에 의한 원자력발전으로 대체되어 가고 있는 현재 전 발전능력의 약 50%를 의존하고 있는 실정이다. 이러한 면에서 실제의 구조물이 일시에 파단이 일어나지 않고, 파단 신뢰성이 충분히 높다는 것을 실증하여 둔다는 것은 안전성평가상 지극히 중요한 것이다.

Suggestion for Safety Improvement of Compressed Natural Gas Vehicle (압축천연가스 자동차의 안전성 향상을 위한 제언)

  • Systematic safety research by Korea Government has been made to enhance the safety of CNG (compressed natural gas) vehicles since the burst of compressed cylinder of an urban bus in August 9, 2010. This article summarizes some major activities to ensure the safety of CNG vehicles, which covers review of regulation, safety management system including standard of inspection and certification, and training program of inspectors and car mechanics. Specifically, the followings were reviewed; type of CNG cylinder, location of CNG cylinder, material and type of fuel line and vent line, modification of pipeline connection, installation of gas detector, installation of emergency shutdown valve, installation of protecting cover for cylinder, obligations for CNG vehicle filling station. improving periodical inspection, routine test on gas vehicles, training program for engaged in gas vehicles, and designation of safety manager for CNG bus company. This paper suggests how to improve safety of CNG vehicles as a result of review of above mentioned check items.

A Comparative Study on the Safety Management Status of LP Gas Fueled Vehicles in Korea and Foreign Countries (LP가스 연료사용 자동차의 국내외 안전관리현황 비교 연구)

  • This thesis suggests ways for ensuring the safety of domestic autogas (liquefied petroleum gas) vehicles by conducting comparison and analysis on the status of market diffusion and safety management scheme in foreign countries as well as in Korea. According to the result of the survey on the status of domestic autogas safety management, the national scheme to secure the safety of autogas vehicles seems neither well-organized nor sufficiently-controlled. Actually, the gas leakage check-ups conducted for 5,000 autogas cars revealed that about 4 percent of them had leakage problems. As a result, it was acknowledged that the autogas safety regulations being operated in advanced countries need to be selectively introduced for the domestic autogas industry. Consequently, in line with the recent permission to use autogas as a fuel for subcompact cars etc., this thesis is recommending some methods to enhance the safety management scheme for autogas cars such as the amendment of facility regulations including the ventilation of underground parking lots, mandatory attachment of labels claiming autogas cars and indicating periodical inspections etc.

  • Established in the 1960s, high pressure underground pipelines in Ulsan and Yeosu industrial estate are underground as toxic gas as well as combustible gas that is heavier than city gas and low combustion range. Especially, industrial pipelines occupy more than 20 years old pipes. In this way, the industrial estate pipeline was installed before the introduction of the supervision of construction, However, unlike the city gas pipeline, the pipeline is managed without any legal obligation. In this study, the safety management status of high pressure underground pipelines and urban gas underground pipelines in the industrial estate is analyzed and comparison of laws, extent of damage impact, using the pipe inspection model for pipe inspection of high pressure piping system with the existing piping system. it is intended to cuntribute to improving the safety of industrial estate are underground pipeline.

  • 자동차 연료로서 LPG(Liquefied Petroleum Gas)의 사용은 대기오염을 줄이는데 효과적으로 사용이 빠르게 확산되고 있다. 가스사용이 늘어나면서 폭발과 화재에 의한 인명피해가 해마다 발생하고 있으며, 특히 대규모 저장시설에서의 가스사고는 사회적으로 심각한 문제를 야기하고 있다. 이를 최소화하기 위한 방안으로 지하격납형 저장탱크를 대안으로 제시하고 있다. 본 연구는 LPG를 대량으로 취급 저장하는 시설에서 운용하는 저장탱크의 설치방법을 개선하기 위한 것으로, 지상형과 지하매몰형, 지하격납형에 대하여 누출가능성, 경제성, 토지이용률, 안전성, 점검편리성, 시공용이성을 인자로 다구찌(Taguchi) 실험계획법으로 분석하면 토지이용률, 경제성, 안전성순으로 효과적인 것으로 나타났으며, 최적의 시공법은 지하격납형 저장탱크인 것으로 나타났다.

  • Advanced Internet of Things (IoT) technology is being used in various ways for the safety of the energy industry. At the center of safety measures, drones play various roles on behalf of humans. Drones are playing a role in reaching places that are difficult to reach due to large-scale facilities and space restrictions that are difficult for humans to inspect. In this study, the accuracy and completeness of movement of dangerous facilities were tested using drone images, and it was confirmed that the movement recognition accuracy was 100%, the average data analysis accuracy was 95.8699%, and the average completeness was 100%. Based on the experimental results, a future-oriented facility risk analysis system combined with ICT technology was implemented and presented. Additional experiments with diversified conditions are required in the future, and ICT convergence analysis system implementation is required.

  • Valve leak accidents in petrochemistry plants and gas utilities cause human and property damage. The main reason why happen gas inhalation, poisoning, fire and explosion accidents is gas valve leakage. To prevent gas leakage, inspectors check the facilities in the field. And they are at risk of gas leak accidents. So we applied IoT-based risk assessment, monitoring and automatic control system. It can detect both internal and external gas leakage, do real-time monitoring of industrial valve in the plant by using hybrid sensor. As the new safety management system for industrial valve is developed, it needs method to evaluate device performance and environmental components for the system. This study is about development of method to verify performance of the explosion-proofed hybrid sensing system include gas detector and optical fiber sensor supporting wire and wireless communication.

  • 자동차의 수요가 폭발적으로 늘어났으며, 늘어난 자동차 대수를 고려하여 자동차 검사소 또한 많이 늘어났다. 그러나 최근에는 낮은 유지비용과 이동의 편의성으로 인하여 이륜자동차의 수요가 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 이륜자동차의 경우 검사제도의 미비로 인하여 대기환경오염 및 불법개조로 인한 여러 가지 사회적 문제가 발생하고 있다. 이러한 이유로 최근에는 이륜자동차의 체계적 관리를 통하여 불법개조를 단속하고, 배기가스 오염물질에 의한 대기오염 및 이륜자동차 소음관리를 위하여 이륜자동차에 대한 검사 제도가 더욱 강화되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 중고차 성능점검 시스템 및 기능종합진단 시스템의 아키텍처를 통하여 이륜자동차에 적용되는 종합관리시스템 적용될 수 있는 통신 프로토콜을 분석하고 개발에 필요한 중요한 설계요소를 제시하고자 한다.
