Image Mosaicking Using Feature Points Based on Color-invariant (칼라 불변 기반의 특징점을 이용한 영상 모자이킹)

  • In the field of computer vision, image mosaicking is a common method for effectively increasing restricted the field of view of a camera by combining a set of separate images into a single seamless image. Image mosaicking based on feature points has recently been a focus of research because of simple estimation for geometric transformation regardless distortions and differences of intensity generating by motion of a camera in consecutive images. Yet, since most feature-point matching algorithms extract feature points using gray values, identifying corresponding points becomes difficult in the case of changing illumination and images with a similar intensity. Accordingly, to solve these problems, this paper proposes a method of image mosaicking based on feature points using color information of images. Essentially, the digital values acquired from a digital color camera are converted to values of a virtual camera with distinct narrow bands. Values based on the surface reflectance and invariant to the chromaticity of various illuminations are then derived from the virtual camera values and defined as color-invariant values invariant to changing illuminations. The validity of these color-invariant values is verified in a test using a Macbeth Color-Checker under simulated illuminations. The test also compares the proposed method using the color-invariant values with the conventional SIFT algorithm. The accuracy of the matching between the feature points extracted using the proposed method is increased, while image mosaicking using color information is also achieved.

Prediction of Evacuation Time for Emergency Planning Zone of Uljin Nuclear Site (울진원전 방사선비상계획구역에 대한 소개시간 예측)

  • The time for evacuation of residents in emergency planning zone(EPZ) of Uljin nuclear site in case of a radiological emergency was estimated with traffic analysis. Evacuees were classified into 4 groups by considering population density, local jurisdictions, and whether they ate residents or transients. The survey to investigate the behavioral characteristics of the residents was made for 200 households and included a hypothetical scenario explaining the accident situation and questions such as dwelling place, time demand for evacuation preparation transportation means for evacuation, sheltering place, and evacuation direction. The microscopic traffic simulation model, CORSIM, was used to simulate the behavior of evacuating vehicles on networks. The results showed that the evacuation time required for total vehicles to move out from EPZ took longer in the daytime than at night in spite that the delay times at intersections were longer at night than in the daytime. This was analyzed due to the differences of the trip generation time distribution. To validate whether the CORSIM model fan appropriately simulate the congested traffic phenomena assumable in case of emergency, a benchmark study was conducted at an intersection without an actuated traffic signal near Uljin site during the traffic peak-time in the morning. This study indicated that the predicted output by the CORSIM model was in good agreement with the observed data. satisfying the purpose of this study.

Quasi-Transient Method for Thermal Response of Blunt Body in a Supersonic Flow (준-비정상해석 기법을 통한 초음속 유동 내 무딘 물체의 열응답 예측)

  • In the boundary layer of supersonic or hypersonic vehicles, there is the conversion from kinetic energy to thermal energy, called aerodynamic heating. Aerodynamic heating has to be considered to design supersonic vehicles, because it induces severe heat flux to surface. Transient heat transfer analysis with CFD is used to predict thermal response of vehicles, however transient heat transfer analysis needs excessive computing powers. Loosely coupled method is widely used for evaluating thermal response, however it needs to be revised for overestimated heat flux. In this research, quasi-transient method, which is combined loosely coupled method and conjugate heat transfer analysis, is proposed for evaluating thermal response with efficiency and reliability. Defining reference time of splitting flight scenario for transient simulation is important on accuracy of quasi-transient method, however there is no algorithm to determine. Therefore the research suggests the algorithm with various flow conditions to define reference time. Supersonic flow field of blunt body with constant acceleration is calculated to evaluate quasi-transient method. Temperature difference between transient and quasi-transient method is about 11.4%, and calculation time reduces 28 times for using quasi-transient method.

  • 발전소 시뮬레이션 시스템 기술은 종합적인 지식을 바탕으로 자료수집 및 분석, 소프트웨어 개발 환경, 수학적 모델, 전산기 구성, 각종 계기류 설계 및 구매 장착 등의 노하우를 알아야만 제작할 수 있는 종합적인 기술이다. 또 지시기반의 기술이며 부가가치가 높은 기술이기 때문에 선진 각국에서는 계측제어 시스템의 기술개발 및 시장 확대를 위하여 힘을 쓰는 동시에 타국으로의 기술정보 유출을 경계하는데 신경을 곤두세우고 있다. 현재 복잡화되어 가고 있는 산업 사회의 전력 수요에 대한 대폭적인 증가 추세에 따라 발전소에서는 보다 효율적이며 합리적이고 경제적인 전력 공급을 위해서 전력 생산에 대한 신뢰성 향상 및 안정성 확보는 물론, 효율성 높은 운전이 절실히 요구되고 있다. 한편, 국내의 시뮬레이션 시스템 분야 기술은 아직도 완벽한 수준에는 미치지 못하며, 이 분야의 기술력 확보 및 신기술 개발은 향후 미래의 모든 시스템산업의 성쇄를 판가름하는 아주 중요한 척도가 될 것이다. 이 중에서 접지 분야는 고전압 혼촉에 의한 저압측 선로의 전압상승 방지, 모선(Bus)이나 전력 기기의 절연보호 및 회로전압의 안정등으로 시스템 성능을 한층 증가 시켜줄 뿐아니라 기기의 오동작이나 낙뇌등으로 인명피해 발생을 없애주는 아주 중요한 분야임에도 불구하고 이 분야의 국내 관련법규등이 미비한 사항이다. 그래서 발전소 분산제어 시스템분야의 장기간 신뢰성 및 안정성을 가지고 있고, 국내에서 많이 사용하는 미국 Bailey의 infi-90 및 독일 ABB의 Procontrol-P를 비교 분석하여 발전소 시뮬레이션 시스템의 접지에 응용 하고져 한다.상호 발생기를 이용한 다양한 시스템 검증 및 분석에 이용할 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문은 가상호 발생기의 구조와 최대 용량 시험 방법을 소개하고, 더 나아가 호 Traffic에 대한 최대 용량 시험뿐 아니라 QoS를 향상시키기 위한 교환 시스템의 제반 성능 시험 및 분석에 이를 이용하기 위해 개선이 필요함을 서술하고자 한다.textrm{m}$~3.4$\mu\textrm{m}$ 범위에서의 투과 및 흡수 스펙트럼을 측정하였다. 결정 성장 결과 B3+, Er3+, Cr3+ 이온은 Ti4+ 이온과 이온의 크기 차이가 심하여 결정의 정상적인 성장을 방해하는 물성을 나타냈고, V5+, Cr3+ 이온은 흑색의 결정, Fe3+ 이온은 적갈색의 결정으로 성장되었다. Al3+, Zr4+, Al3+의 순서로 투과도가 높아지는 것이 관찰되었다. 불순이온의 농도에 따른 영향으로서 Al3+ 이온의 경우 주입농도가 높아질수록 low angle boundary와 oxygen deficiency가 감소하였고, 투과율은 조금 감소하거나 큰 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 Cr3+ 이온을 주입한 경우 0.003 atomic%에서 최적의 물성을 보였으며, 주입농도가 높아질수록 결정성장이 어려워지고 광의 투과도가 급격히 저하되었다.은 1.3을 나타내었다.로 보인다.하면 수평축과 수직축의 분산 장벽의 비에 따라 cluster의 두께비가 달라지는 성장을 볼 수 있었고, 한 축 방향으로의 팔 넓이는 fcc(100) 표면의 경우 동일한 Ed+Ep값에 대응하는 팔 넓이와 거의 동일한 결과가 나타나는 것을 볼 수 있다. 따라서 이러한 비대칭적인

  • The FUel Rod Analysis(FURA) code is developed using two-dimensional finite element methods for axisymmetric and plane stress analysis of fuel rod. It predicts the thermal and mechanical behavior of fuel rod during normal and load follow operations. To evaluate the exact temperature distribution and the inner gas pressure, the radial deformation of pellet and clad, the fission gas release are considered over the full-length of fuel rod. The thermal element equation is derived using Galerkin's techniques. The displacement element equation is derived using the principle of virtual works. The mechanical analysis can accommodate various components of strain: elastic, plastic, creep and thermal strain as well as strain due to swelling, relocation and densification. The 4-node quadratic isoparametric elements are adopted, and the geometric model is confined to a half-pellet-height region with the assumption that pellet-pellet interaction is symmetrical. The pellet cracking and crack healing, pellet-cladding interaction are modelled. The Newton-Raphson iteration with an implicit algorithm is applied to perform the analysis of non-linear material behavior accurately and stably. The pellet and cladding model has been compared with both analytical solutions and experimental results. The observed and predicted results are in good agreement. The general behavior of fuel rod is calculated by axisymmetric system and the cladding behavior against radial crack is used by plane stress system. The sensitivity of strain aging of PWR fuel cladding tube due to load following is evaluated in terms of linear power, load cycle frequency and amplitude.

A Study on the Initial Design Method for an Effective Acquisition of Future Ground Combat Vehicles (미래지상전투차량의 효과적 획득을 위한 초기설계기법에 관한 연구)

  • In the acquisition program, the conceptual design is the most important step toward specifying the military objectives, establishing requirements and determining future developmental directions, of a target system. However, if both the requirements and directions are incorrectly set due to the lack of development experiences and literature backgrounds in the target systems, such as future ground combat vehicles, it may become a major risk in the future design phases and the entire acquisition program. In order to correct these errors in the future phases, time, effort and cost are required. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the errors that occur in the initial stages to effectively acquire the future ground combat vehicles. This paper describes the initial design method for verifying the requirements and the developmental directions and estimating the system performance at the conceptual design through the system-level physical modeling and simulation (M&S) and the target system performance analysis. The system-level physical M&S use cutting-edge design tools, model-based designs and geometric-based designs. The system performance estimation is driven from the results of the system-level physical M&S and the specialized system analysis software.

  • 홍수기 호우로 인한 피해는 대부분 하천구역에서 발생되며, 이러한 피해는 인간에게 직 간접적으로 영향을 미치게 된다. 자연 상태의 하천형상은 대부분 호우로 인한 홍수로 인해 자연스럽게 만들어지게 되며, 대부분 사행하천의 형태를 띠게 된다. 사행하천에서의 흐름의 기하학적 특성은 성장이나 사멸, 또는 두 가지 모두의 형태를 보인다. 사행하천에서의 흐름 및 유속 분포는 하천제방 보호, 주운, 취수, 그리고 유사 이동 및 퇴적 패턴과 관련하여 실용적인 관점에서 연구하여야 하는 하천수리학에서는 매우 중요한 주제이다. 그리고 사행하천은 특히 만곡부가 교호적으로 나타나는 곳에서의 흐름구조가 매우 복잡하다. 이러한 사행하천에서는 회전방향이 교호적으로 바뀌는 나선형의 흐름(2차류)이 3차원적으로 발생하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 사행하천이 많은 국내 하천특성을 고려하여, 하천 만곡부에서의 흐름특성을 분석하고자 하였으며 2차원 CCHE2D 와 3차원 FLOW3D 모형을 적용하였으며 가상 하도에 대하여 수리모형 실험의 실측치와 비교하여 모형의 정확성과 안정성을 검증하였다. 그리고 남강댐 하류에 대하여 만곡부의 흐름특성(유속 분포 및 최대유속경로, 수위분포, 2차류 거동, 편수위, 전단응력 분포 등)을 분석함으로써, 하천 만곡부에서의 수리적 특성을 보다 정확하게 제시하고자 한다. 모의 분석결과 동일 하도에 대하여 유량을 변동시킬 경우, 유량이 증가할수록 만곡부에서의 수리영향이 더욱 뚜렷해짐을 알 수 있었고 2차원 모형보다 3차원모형의 결과의 정확도가 더 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 곡률반경이 1,300~1,600 정도인 실제하천에 적용한 결과, 수위의 경우 2차원 결과가 3차원 결과보다 최대 3%정도 수위가 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 또한, 상관계수가 평균 0.91의 값을 보이고 있어 2차원모형과 3차원모형의 결과가 비교적 잘 일치하는 것으로 분석되었다. 흐름 분석을 통해서 만곡부에서의 최대유속은 최정점(apex)에서 보다는 오히려 최정점 이전 하도의 내측에서 발생하였으며, 정점에서의 종단유속은 감소하지만 횡단유속은 오히려 크게 증가하는 경향을 보이고 있었다. 따라서 하천설계시 사행하천의 제방 안정성 확보를 위하여 종단유속 뿐만 아니라 횡단유속 또한 고려할 필요가 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 남강댐 하류 만곡부에서의 내측 및 외측의 수위를 분석한 결과, 제방 외측의 수위가 평균수위에 비해 최대 약 37cm정도 증가하는 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 만곡부에 대한 하천제방설계시 좌, 우안의 여유고를 일률적으로 적용하기 보다는 만곡에 따른 흐름특성을 분석하여 설계에 적용하여야 안정성 및 경제성을 동시에 확보할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

The Impacts on Flow by Hydrological Model with NEXRAD Data: A Case Study on a small Watershed in Texas, USA (레이더 강수량 데이터가 수문모델링에서 수량에 미치는 영향 -미국 텍사스의 한 유역을 사례로-)

  • The accuracy of rainfall data for a hydrological modeling study is important. NEXRAD (Next Generation Radar) rainfall data estimated by WRS-88D (Weather Surveillance Radar - 1988 Doppler) radar system has advantages of its finer spatial and temporal resolution. In this study, NEXRAD rainfall data was tested and compared with conventional weather station data using the previously calibrated SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool) model to identify local storms and to analyze the impacts on hydrology. The previous study used NEXRAD data from the year of 2000 and the NEXRAD data was substituted with weather station data in the model simulation in this study. In a selected watershed and a selected year (2006), rainfall data between two datasets showed discrepancies mainly due to the distance between weather station and study area. The largest difference between two datasets was 94.5 mm (NEXRAD was larger) and 71.6 mm (weather station was larger) respectively. The differences indicate that either recorded rainfalls were occurred mostly out of the study area or local storms only in the study area. The flow output from the study area was also compared with observed data, and modeled flow agreed much better when the simulation used NEXRAD data.

Precise Relative Positioning for Formation Flying Satellite using GPS Carrier-phase Measurements (GPS 반송파 위상을 사용한 편대비행위성 상대위치결정 연구)

  • The present paper deals with precise relative positioning of formation satellites with long baseline in low Earth orbit making use of L1/L2 dual frequency GPS carrier phase measurements. Kinematic approach means to describe the motion of objects without taking its mass/dynamics model into consideration. The advantage of the kinematic approach is that information about dynamics of the system is not applied, which gives more flexibility and could improve the scientific interest of the observations made by the mission. The ionosphere terms, which are not canceled by double differenced measurement equation in the case of the long baseline, are explicitly estimated as unknown parameters by extended Kalman filter. The estimated float ambiguities by EKF are solved by existing efficient integer vector search strategy under integer least square condition. For the integer vector search, we employ well known MLAMBDA. Finally, The feasibility and accuracy of processing scheme are demonstrated using the GPS measurements for two satellites in low Earth orbit separated by baselines of 100 km.

1D Numerical Model for Rivers Flows with Emergent Vegetations on Floodplains and Banks (정수식생이 존재하는 자연하도에서 1차원 수치모형)

  • A 1D numerical model for steady flow, based on the energy equation, was developed for natural rivers with emergent vegetations on floodplains and banks. The friction slope was determined by the friction law of Darcy-Weisbach. The composite friction factor of the each cross section was calculated by considering bottom roughness of the main channel and the floodplains, the flow resistance of vegetations, the apparent shear stress and the flow resistance caused by the momentum transfer between vegetated areas and non-vegetated areas. The interface friction factor caused by flow interaction was calculated by empirical formulas of Mertens and Nuding. In order to verify the accuracy of the suggested model, water surface elevations were calculated by using imaginary compound channels and the results of calculations were compared with that of the HEC-RAS. The sensitivity analysis was performed to confirm changed friction factors by vegetations density etc. The suggested model was applied to the reach of the Enz River in Germany, and estimated water surface elevations of the Enz River were compared with measured water surface elevations. This model could acceptably compute not only water surface elevations with low discharge but also that with high discharge. So, the suggested model in this study verified the applicability in natural rivers with emergent vegetations.
