V&V of Integrated Interoperability System for LVC Simulation on Aircraft Weapon System (항공무기체계 LVC 시뮬레이션을 위한 통합연동시스템 V&V)

  • This paper describes the verification and the validation about the development of the integrated interoperability system for live, virtual, and constructive simulations on the aircraft weapon system. The proposed integrated interoperability system provides the framework and application softwares for implementing a synthetic environment emulating real-world environment among distributed simulation models, which are a mission model and an air combat model of a constructive level, an tactical simulator of a virtual level, and simulated ACMI of a live level. In this paper, we verify requested functions through an developmental test and evaluation, and validate operability and usability through conducing integrated LVC scenarios on the integrated interoperability system.

  • In this paper, we apply this method to the entire process of smart disaster safety management based on the $4^{th}$ industrial revolution to minimize human, social, economic and environment damage from accidents and disasters, prevention evaluation and disaster information collection analysis and real-time detection of field situation. Prevention of $5^{th}$ generation communication system by analysis, contrast by education and training using virtual reality and augmented reality disaster safety management decision support system intelligent robot for recovery, disaster, discovery, reconnaissance relief, and scale analysis of damages were proposed.

  • Providing adequate amount of spatial impression for spaciousness) has been known to be one of the most important design considerations for the good acoustics of rooms for music. and the measurement, of room acoustics using parameters. such as LEF and IACC, forms an essential part of such evaluation. However. it is unavoidable to use different transducers (figure of eight microphones. head and torso) for the measurement of each parameter and it tends to make the measurement procedure complicated. The Present work tried to provide a simpler way to measure these binaural room acoustic parameters including monaural ones with a single measurement system using both spatial information collected through a 5-channel microphone and a trained neural network. A computer simulation program, CATT-Acoustic V7.2. which allowed us to obtain exactly the same spatial information as a 5-channel microphone was used. since it requires quite a large amount of data for practical training of a neural network. Since each reflection has different energy. delay and direction, energy should be integrated properly. the concept of ray tracing method was applied inversely in this work. Also applying weightings according to the delay times was considered in this work. Finally, predicted results were compared with the measured data md their correlations were analyzed and discussed.

  • Commander and staffs on the battlefield are aware of the situation and, based on the results, they perform military activities through their military decisions. Recently, with the development of information technology, the demand for artificial intelligence to support military decisions has increased. It is essential to identify, collect, and pre-process the data set for reinforcement learning to utilize artificial intelligence. However, data on enemies lacking in terms of accuracy, timeliness, and abundance is not suitable for use as AI learning data, so a training model is needed to collect AI learning data. In this paper, a methodology for learning artificial intelligence was presented using the constructive wargame model exercise data. First, the role and scope of artificial intelligence to support the commander and staff in the military decision-making process were specified, and to train artificial intelligence according to the role, learning data was identified in the Chang-Jo 21 model exercise data and the learning results were simulated. The simulation data set was created as imaginary sample data, and the doctrine of ROK Army, which is restricted to disclosure, was utilized with US Army's doctrine that can be collected on the Internet.

  • Development of Computer science and internet technoloy have led changes all over the social area. Educational markets based on this circumstance are offering various services named remote education, cyber lecture, e-Learning, etc. Due to these products, systems for computer based teaching and evaluating student's achievement are wide spread. But in many systems we can find functional restrictions. In this paper we propose a RTE system offering interactive self control mode based education so as to provide customized education for each individual by realtime feedback of the level of the student's comprehension we expect that this system provides customized education environment considering student's achievement level and maximizes their motivation.

  • This study is intended to verify the efficiency of the information system by using the navigation application in case of fire. In the demonstration scenario simulation, it was assumed that a fire occurred 6th floor in Korea Institute of Industrial Design Promotion located in C city, K province. Eighty juniors students from K University's department of paramedics of science participated. As a result of the experiment, the demonstration simulation using the navigation application showed that the evacuation time was faster than the case of evacuation guidance in a fire situation. The need for a fire prevention system and fire prevention awareness before and after the implementation of the demonstration scenario simulation increased the need for a fire prevention system and fire prevention awareness score after the experiment.

  • Due to significant advances in Internet technology, there have been many e-learning courses offered by universities and academic institutes nowadays through the Internet. And these courses have benefited many students who might be constrained by distance and time. Nevertheless, most web-based courses are lecturing courses that cannot fulfill the needs for engineering technology education. In this paper, we propose the design and implementation of web-based programmable logic controller(PLC) laboratory to support learning and training for industrial automation. The proposed web-based PLC laboratory system consists of virtual labs and remote labs. This web-based PLC laboratory can be accessed by registered students to practice PLC experiments at their own home, enhancing the quality of education without much increasing in the overall cost. With the help of web cameras, the students can even have experience the live PLC experiments through the Internet.

  • The Ministry of Public Safety and Security plans to expand fire safety education infrastructure to provide customized fire safety education, spread fire safety culture and develop a tailored fire safety education system as a part of the 2016 Citizens' Safety Improvement Policy. This study has also been designed to improve safety problems in the Republic of Korea. Even though safety education has been given, citizens aren't still able to experience a close-to-real situation. In addition, their understanding and satisfaction with the curriculum are very low. Therefore, this study offers VR fire-extinguishing experience education contents as an effective alternative. With a goal of having the participants experience fire extinguishing and evacuation drill in a virtual space, this program has the following advantages: i) safe fire-extinguishing experience; ii) UI to create fun ; iii) useful in fire-extinguishing education; iv) budget saving. we configure the VR fire experience system structure and hardware by applying UX design methodology. We also develop for VR-specific motion recognition plug-in and controller that can be feeling in HMD environment.

  • A VR-Tangible Interaction therapy system for autistic children has been designed and implemented. The purpose of this system is to provide a virtual interactive experience for autistic children to check their performances in various tasks and to provide them with the effect of a medical treatment. An interdisciplinary study was deployed by a group of designers, doctors, psychologists and engineers. 14 interaction scenarios were designed and developed. Scenarios include such tasks as to guess a person's feeling by watching his facial expressions, to choose what a person is gazing at, and to pop virtual balloons with a stick. A prototype system was developed and a pilot study made with 11 autistic children. The test showed that autistic children easily understood and enjoyed the virtual environment, and promising theraphy results were also found.

  • Drought is a natural phenomena caused by long time lack of precipitation causing varying damages in several regions which increases yearly. Specifically, in 1994$\sim$1995 and 2001 severe drought occurred in almost every region of Korea. Small and medium sized water supply reservoirs exposed their bottoms and also raised considerable economic losses. In spite of this fact, damages and impacts from the drought can still be minimized by well defined drought management plans with optimal management of water supply facilities. Throughout this research, integrated drought information system is proposed to used in monitoring the drought of Korea in real time. And the expert system for the management of water supply facilities has developed using Shared Vision Model (SVM) to enable the Virtual Drought Exercise (VDE). To find a better way to manage water during drought and to develop the enhanced abilities to respond to drought, virtual drought exercise is the most effective approach and process. The proposed process of virtual drought exercise using integrated drought information system can be used as an effective tool to prepare the optimal water supply plans during the drought.
