Implementation of A Spatial 3-DOF Haptic Mechanism (공간형 3 자유도 Haptic 메커니즘의 구현)

  • In this study, a spatial 3-dof haptic mechanism is implemented. The implemented mechanism does not employ the gear transmissions as velocity reducers for all three joints but uses wire-based transmissions, thereby it is able to minimize the frictions significantly. Also, by employing the structure of the four-bar mechanism to drive third joint from close to the base, the mechanism is able to minimize the inertia effect from the third actuator very effectively. Its kinematic analysis such as position and velocity analyses are performed first. Then, its operating software development, hardware implementation, and the related interfaces between a PC and the implemented Haptic device are completed. To evaluate its potential and its performance as a haptic device, a experiment generating a virtual constraint in a operational task space is conducted and preliminary results are discussed.

  • 본 논문에서는 연속적 충돌검사 방법과 제약 조건 기반의 강체 역학 모델링 기법을 이용하여 마커 기반의 트래킹 환경에서 현실의 객체와 가상의 객체가 물리적으로 현실적이고 안정적으로 상호작용하는 증강현실 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 구현된 증강 현실 시스템은 증강 현실환경상의 현실 객체를 인식하고 트래킹 하는 부분과 증강현실에 등장하는 모든 종류의 객체들 간의 물리적인 상호작용을 시뮬레이션 하는 부분으로 크게 구성된다. 객체 트래킹에 사용되는 일반적인 카메라로는 적은 수의 불연속적인 프레임 밖에 얻을 수 없는 성능의 근본적인 한계에도 불구하고, 본 논문에서는 연속적 충돌검사 방법을 이용하여 객체간의 올바른 충돌 정보를 얻을 수 있었고, 이를 이용하여 제약 조건 기반의 강체 역학 시뮬레이션을 적용하여 안정적이고 현실적인 물리 반응을 생성할 수 있었다. 제안한 방법론은 이러한 트래킹 지연에도 불구하고 본 논문에서 사용된 다양한 벤치마킹 시나리오에서, 안정적으로 현실의 객체와 가상의 객체 사이에 물리적으로 실감나는 인터랙션 결과를 보여주었다.

Detection of Cavities by Inverse Heat Conduction Boundary Element Method Using Minimal Energy Technique (최소 에너지기법을 이용한 역 열전도 경계요소법의 공동 탐지)

  • A geometrical inverse heat conduction problem is solved for the infrared scanning cavity detection by the boundary element method using minimal energy technique. By minimizing the kinetic energy of temperature field, boundary element equations are converted to the quadratic programming problem. A hypothetical inner boundary is defined such that the actual cavity is located interior to the domain. Temperatures at hypothetical inner boundary are determined to meet the constraints of mea- surement error of surface temperature obtained by infrared scanning, and then boundary element analysis is peformed for the position of an unknown boundary (cavity). Cavity detection algorithm is provided, and the effects of minimal energy technique on the inverse solution method are investigated by means of numerical analysis.

  • Tangent stiffness matrices are derived for the torsional and lateral stability analysis of the space beams and framed structures with the symmetric thin-walled section by using the principle of virtual displacement. In the cases of restrained torsion and unrestrained torsion, the elastic and geometric stiffness matrices are evaluated by using the Hermitian polynomials which represent the displacement field of the beam element in simple flexure. Numerical examples illustrate the accuracy and convergence characteristics of the derived formulations.

  • This paper presents an approximate synthesis of 5-SS multi link suspension for 2 D.O.F motions. In the proposed synthesis method, alteration curves of camber, toe, kingpin and caster angles are optimized during the bump rebound and the steering motions. And joint positions can be located within desired boundari es. Especially, steering motions are considered for control of kingpin offset and caster trail. Prescribed motions contain both wheel center positions and imaginary kingpin axes in the multi link type suspension. Constraint equations are formulated with di splacement matrix and velocity matrix using instantaneous screw axis.

  • For the dynamic nonlinear analysis of stiffened plate and shell structures, total Lagrangian formulation is presented based upon the degenerated shell element considering finite rotation effects. Assumed strain concept is adopted in order to overcome shear locking phenomena and to eliminate spurious zero energy mode. In the elasto-plastic analysis, the return mapping algorithm based on the consistent elasto-plastic tangent modulus is applied to collapse analysis of shell structures. Newmark integration method is used for dynamic nonlinear analysis of shell structures under dynamic forces.

  • 본 연구에서는 비대칭 박벽단면을 갖는 곡선보의 안정성해석을 수행할 수 있는 이론 및 엄밀해를 제시하기 위하여, 3차원 연속체로부터 유도된 평형방정식으로부터 선형화된 가상일의 원리를 적용하였다. 박벽단면의 구속된 ?(warping)과 곡률효과를 고려하고 유한한 회전각의 2차항을 포함하는 곡선보의 변위장을 도입하여 단면에 대해 적분함으로써 도심축에 대한 박벽 곡선보의 총포텐셜에너지를 유도하였다. 또한, 단순지지되고 일축대칭 단면을 갖는 박벽원형 곡선보의 면내 및 면외좌굴에 대한 엄밀해를 유도하기 위하여, 면내에 대해서는 균일압축을 받는 원형아치의 역대칭 좌굴모드에 대한 좌굴하중을 유도하고 면외좌굴에 대해서는 균일압축 및 순수휨을 받는 아치의 처짐함수를 가정하여 곡선보의 횡좌굴하중에 대한 일반해를 제시하였다.

Dynamic Equations of Robots and Sensitivity Analysis (로봇 운동방정식과 감도해석)

  • The inverse dynamic equations for 5 link robot including a closed chain have been derived. The closed chain is virtually cut open, and the kinematics and dynamics of the virtual open chain robot are analyzed. The constraints are applied to the virtually cut joints by the Jacobian matrix which represents the configuration of the closed chain. The topology of tree structrued open chain robot is described by a FATHER array. The FATHER array of a link indicates the link tha tis connected in the direction of base link. Based on the inverse dynamic equations, the torque sensitivity models of the 5 link robot have been developed. The sensitivity models characterize the sensitivity of the driving torque with respect to the link parameters. All the procedures are illustrated through the 2 link robot.

A Study on Program Development for Static Design Factor of Automotive Suspension System (자동차 현가장치의 정적설계인자 계산을 위한 프로그램 개발에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, a general program has been developed to calculate the static design factor of a vehicle suspension system. The partial derivatives of Jacobians for constraint equations are calculated using the symbolic technique. In the commercial program, finite difference method is used to calculate the Jacobian matrix of Jacobian. But in this study, it is calculated by using the symbol calculation method to precisely consider it. The calculated Jacobian matrix for the system has proved its accuracy through the solution of the numerical example. A simulation was performed for a double wishbone suspension of a 1/4 vehicle. The result can be used to calculate the static design factor of the suspension, and also add a convergence module that can perform virtual tests.

Lateral Drift Control and Resizing Technique for Tall Buildings using Lateral-Stiffness Influence Matrix (횡강성 영향행렬을 이용한 고층건물의 횡변위 제어 및 단면 재산정 방안)

  • This study develops the module to find the lateral stiffness influence matrix of each story and performs the displacement sensitivity analysis by virtual load method for the efficiency of optimal design using lateral stiffness influence matrix. Also, resizing technique based on the estimated lateral stiffness increment factors is developed to apply directly the results of optimal design. To this end, resizing technique is divided into the continuous and discrete section design methods. And then the relationships between section properties and section size are established. Specifically, an initial design under strength constraints is first performed, and then the lateral load resistant system is designed to control lateral displacements yet exceeding the drift criteria. Two types of 45-story three dimensional structures we presented to illustrate the features of the lateral drift control and resizing technique for tall buildings proposed in this study.
