Analysis of Burst Detection Based on Adjustable Sampling Interval (가변적 샘플링 기반한 누수탐지 분석)

  • 최근 상수관망의 물 공급 과정에서 여러 가지 원인으로 인해 물의 손실에 따른 비용손실이 발생하고 있다. 급수시스템의 경우에는 파열 및 누수발생과 관련되어 사용되는 비용은 분실되는 물의 직적비용, 급수시스템 수리에 따른 공사비용, 공급중지와 관련된 사회적 비용이 있다. 파열 및 누수를 신속하게 감지하는 것은 물 손실에 의해 발생하는 직접 및 간접비용을 줄일 수 있다. 그러나 국내의 경우 정기적으로 매년 1회 시행되는 상수관로에 대한 누수탐지작업으로 신속한 감지 및 즉각적인 대처를 할 수 없는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 수도관에서 발생되는 파열 및 누수를 탐지하기 위하여 블록 유입부에 설치된 유량계의 샘플링 간격의 영향에 대한 연구를 실시하였다. 적응칼만필터 알고리즘을 이용한 가변 샘플링 간격은 최대 최소 샘플링 간격과 정규화된 잔차의 상한값과 하한값 도입하여 제시하였다. 샘플링 간격의 효과를 강조하기 위해 사인 곡선, 사다리꼴 파열, 불규칙 잡음으로 구성된 가상의 유량 데이터로 알고리즘에 대한 검증실험을 진행하였고 실험 결과 샘플링 간격이 길수록 긴 시간 동안 누수 및 파열에 대한 작은 잔차를 발생시켰다. 모의실험결과 샘플링 주기를 변경함으로써 분석에 필요한 유량 데이터의 샘플수를 크게 줄일 수 있었다.

  • Performance of the mobile devices, such as Smartphones, is sensible by the early-stage of the execution of the applications. To addressing this issue, the dynamic frequency scaling by the ondemand governor has an inherent weakness by the sampling period that may induces some delay in the execution time of the applications. In this paper, we propose an adaptive sampling method that varying the sampling period of the ondemand governor in accordance with the execution of the applications. By the experiment result, the proposed method outperforms 3.34% in early-stage of the execution time that impacts the sensible performance, and exhibits negligible differences in terms of the energy consumption.

  • The receiver of each radio telescope of KVN, has a sampler that converts astronomical radio signal to digital data. The ability of this sampler (the bandwidth, sampling frequency, and sampling bits) is improved by sqrt(n), if the bandwidth is increased by n times, and the number of observable objects increases exponentially in the case of continum spectrum radio sources. As the bandwidth increases, there are the more spectrum lines that can be simultaneously monitored in the radio source. This will greatly expand the research area in astronomical radio observation. For this reason, we are trying to independently develop the technology of the fast digital sampler. Therefore, based on the research experience and technology accumulated so far, An ability of sampling up to 3.5 GHz, that can vary the sampling frequency and can observe in a wider band, was designed and made for proto-type. In this study, we introduce the development details and test results for new sampling system.

Reliability Analysis Using Dimension Reduction Method with Variable Sampling Points (가변적인 샘플링을 이용한 차원 감소법에 의한 신뢰도 해석 기법)

  • This study provides how the Dimension Reduction (DR) method as an efficient technique for reliability analysis can acquire its increased efficiency when it is applied to highly nonlinear problems. In the highly nonlinear engineering systems, 4N+1 (N: number of random variables) sampling is generally recognized to be appropriate. However, there exists uncertainty concerning the standard for judgment of non-linearity of the system as well as possibility of diverse degrees of non-linearity according to each of the random variables. In this regard, this study judged the linearity individually on each random variable after 2N+1 sampling. If high non-linearity appeared, 2 additional sampling was administered on each random variable to apply the DR method. The applications of the proposed sampling to the examples produced the constant results with increased efficiency.

  • 본 논문에서는 스트림 환경에서의 샘플링 기법 중 랜덤 샘플링과 유사한 특성을 갖는 KSample의 균일신뢰도 향상에 초점을 맞춘다. 이를 위해, 먼저 KSample의 균일신뢰도 문제점을 분석하여 KSample의 균일신뢰도가 초기에 많이 감소하는 현상을 초기 균일신뢰도 저하 문제로, KSample의 균일신뢰도가 지속적으로 감소하는 현상을 지속 균일신뢰도 저하 문제라 정의한다. 그리고 초기 균일신뢰도 저하 문제를 발생시키는 성질을 과거 샘플 불변으로, 지속 균일신뢰도 저하 문제를 발생시키는 성질을 샘플 추출 범위 증가로 정의하고 이를 해결하여 균일신뢰도를 향상시킨 UC KSample을 제안한다. 실험 결과, 샘플링 비율 p=0.01, 균일신뢰도 하한 ${\varepsilon}=0.7$일 때, UC KSample의 균일신뢰도가 기존 KSample 보다 약 2.2배 증가하였고, 균일신뢰도는 항상 하한 이상으로 유지되었다. 본 연구는 스트림 환경에서 중요한 척도인 균일신뢰도를 KSample에 결합시킨 최초의 시도로서, 샘플링 비율을 유지하며 동적으로 샘플링하는 KSample의 장점은 유지하면서도 균일신뢰도를 증가시킨 우수한 연구라 사료된다.

A Direct Torque Control Characteristics of SRM using PWM Approach (PWM 기법을 적용한 SRM의 직접토크 제어 특성)

  • In this paper, an advanced torque control scheme of SRM using DITC(Direct Instantaneous Torque Control) and PWM(pulse width modulation) is presented. Different from conventional DITC method, proposed method uses one or two switching modes at every sampling time, instead of only one switching mode. The duty ratio of the phase switch is regulated according to the torque error and simple control rules of DITC. Moreover the sampling time of control can be extended, which allows implementation on low cost micro-controllers. A simple calculation of PWM can assure a constant switching frequency with an excellent control performance. The proposed control method is verified by the simulations and experimental results.

  • In this paper, We have studied the structure of a Telemetry Transmitter capable of transmitting variable data rates. This paper proposed a structure combining variable pre-modulation filter with cutoff characteristic with variable input sample rate converter. Variable pre-modulation filter has the same characteristics as pre-modulation filter and is converted to a constant sampling rate without structural changes according to the variable input data rate. We propose a software program that actively controls variable pre-modulation filter and variable input sample rate converter to respond to real-time changing data.

  • 본 6-스텝 운전은 하드웨어의 수정 없이 운전 영역을 확장할 수 있다는 장점을 가진다. 하지만, 샘플링 주파수 대비 기본파 주파수가 크면 저주파수 전류 맥동 문제가 발생한다. 이는 시스템의 효율을 낮추고 안정성 문제를 일으킨다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 가변 시간 제어 방법을 제안한다. 선형화과정을 통해 정확한 전달 함수를 구하고, 이를 이용하여 추가적인 약 자속 제어기나 전류 지령 생성기 없이 6-스텝 운전을 구현 할 수 있다.

  • An acceptance sampling plan for products manufactured from a production process with variable fraction defective is developed. We consider a situation where defective products have short lifetimes and non-defective ones never fail during the technological life of the products. An acceptance criterion which guarantee the out going quality of accepted products is derived using the prior information on the quality of products. Numerical examples are provided.
