This study was conducted to verify the factors affecting self-esteem of the 50-69 aged with low income in single person households. The subjects were 233 single households in the 50-69 aged low income from the 2019 welfare panel data provided by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. The dependent variable was defined as self-esteem, and independent variables were relationship satisfaction and life satisfaction. Data analysis was carried out by using SEM analysis, As a result, relationship satisfaction did not have a direct effect on self-esteem, with a low value (path coefficient =0.24). However, relationship satisfaction positively influenced life satisfaction (path coefficient =0.71), and life satisfaction positively influenced the self-esteem (path coefficient =0.46). Thus life satisfaction between relationship satisfaction and self-esteem had a mediator effect on self-esteem with 0.32 value. Therefore, establishing the strategy which supports poor single person households, policy makers should consider methods improving relationship satisfaction and life satisfaction.

에이즈는 한해에 290만 명이 사망할 정도로 심각한 양상을 보이면서 전세계적 재난이 되고 있다. HIV 성인유병률이 $20\%$가 넘는 일부 아프리카 국가들에서는 평균수명의 감소와 인구감소를 초래하고 있으며, 가구구조의 급격한 변화를 유발하고 가족해체를 초래하고 있다. 또한 노동생산성의 하락, 교육체계 및 의료체계의 와해와 같은 현상이 나타나고 있으며, 빈곤층이 증가하고 여성과 어린이에 대한 폭력과 차별이 증가하는 등 사회 체계의 유지가 심각하게 위협받는 상황에 이르고 있다.

This study investigated the effects of the householder's age as a proxy for the family life cycle stage variable and the householder's occupation on the household financial structures. Household financial structures are analyzed by the components of two financial statements(the income and expense statement and the balance sheet statement) and selected financial ratios. The data came from the 1998 Korean Household Panel Study. It was found that the age profiles of household finances such as household income, expenditure, savings and consumption rate, financial assets, real assets and home ownership, debt and net worth usually vary according the householder's occupation. The ratios of debt repayment and the liquidity ratios also vary in part as age changes for each occupational group.

The conversion of the internal combustion engine vehicle to the electric vehicle is suggested as a solution to the problem of global climate change and environmental pollution. Accordingly, this study was started to promote the use of electric vehicles. The purpose of this study is to identify the basic background knowledge and current status of electric vehicles in Korea and abroad, and expand from previous understanding on which factors affect ones choice on electric vehicles by considering individual characteristics and context in detail. In the analysis, a set of demand forecasting models were constructed by grouping the respondents based on the household characteristics as well as the vehicle ownership. At the time in need for better understanding of the feasibility of electric vehicles, it is expected that the research can assist the promotion of electric vehicles. In the follow-up study, I would like to continue the research on the activation of electric vehicles.

In this paper, multilevel models are adopted to identify interactions among household members in trip making behaviors. The multilevel approach is a proper methodology to handle samples, which are extracted from a hierarchical structure universe. PSTP dataset is used in developing models and understand proportion of variations among individuals and household. The results of this study show that for activity participation and travel behavior household level variance is more than 1/4 of person level variance and therefore not negligible. The results confirm the importance of multilevel model in travel behavior analysis.

Multilevel and Multivariate Structural Equation Mpdel is applied to handle the hierarchical nature of the data and explain complex relationship among socioeconomic factors of individuals and household, activity participation, and travel behavior using Puset Sound Transportation Panel data. From analysis, variations of individual activity participation and travel behavior can be divided into two categories : Within-household variation and Between-households variation. Empirical results show that the interdependency index(p) of variables for household members within a household is between 0.13 and 0.33 indicating high interdependency. These results suggest that Multilevel and Multivariate SEM approach is an appropriate modeling methodology and gives additional information for activity participation and travel behavior. Also most of personal and household characteristics influence on activity participation and travel behavior within a household as well as between households.

Against the projection that the volume of filing would be drastically cut in the Information Age, the needs for filing in this age increases gradually. In this respect, it is critical to study the design of office filing system furniture. Through this study, we could find out what shall be the major requirements for office lijillg system furniture. This study would also provide important raw data for developing more efficient and more satisfactory office filing system furniture. Subject for this study includes 6 representative filing system furniture including a lateral file cabinet. For the design analysis, we used catalogues of foreign and domestic office furniture, particularly filing system furniture. The analysis is classified into the following six categories such as size, shape, color, material, handle, and filing method, mobility, flexibility, and so on. According to the analysis of office furniture in the market, requirements of furniture fit for office environment are found to be as follows. -Instead of the fixed-type furniture, movable furniture is more adaptable to the ever-evolving office environment. -Design the office furniture in accordance with a standardized module would provide a more unity and diversity of arrangement in space particularly when it is arranged with other furniture. -Development of more diverse color, which ranges from achromatic color to wooden color to other various colors, is more favored in the ever-changing office environment. -As the grip provides a variety of image to the furniture let alone its function, its development is required to be more diverse and more conforming 10 the design of Ihe furniture. -The filing methods in general are with drawer and shelf, among which the drawers design is usually fixed. However, under the evolving office furniture environment, the design of Ihe drawer, bolh inlerior and exterior, shall be more diverse and flexible.

우리나라의 가구 구조는 2010년을 기점으로 1인가구로 급격하게 변화하기 시작했다. 특히 도시지역에서 1-2인 가구가 현저하게 증가하고 있으며, 이에 따라 우리나라 도시지역의 주거문화도 아파트 중심에서 다양한 형태의 공간이 만들어 지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 1인 가구를 대상으로 지어진 소형주택의 사례조사 연구이다. 문헌조사와 정보검색, 사례조사를 통해 소형주택의 개념과 유형을 살펴보고 한국의 소형주택 사례와 유렵과 일본의 사례를 선정하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 소형주택의 소요가 증가하고 있으며 대부분의 소형주택은 효율적인 공간을 위해 스킵플로어의 형태로 지어지는 경우가 많았다. 이에 본 연구는 소형주택의 개념과 사례를 살펴보고 향후 소형주택 계획의 기초자료로서 의의를 둔다.

Considering the fact that households' demographic characteristics affect consumption decision, it is conjectured that rapid demographic changes would lead to a substantial change in the composition of private consumption expenditure. This paper estimates the demand functions of various consumption items by applying the Quadratic Almost Ideal Demand System(QUAIDS) model to Household Income and Expenditure Survey data, and then provides a long-term forecast of the composition of household consumption expenditure for 2005-2020. The paper shows that Korea's consumption expenditure will maintain the recent years' rapid change, of which a considerable portion is due to rapid demographic changes. Results of the paper can be utilized in forecasting the change in the industrial structure of the economy, as well as in firms' investment planning.

Research has consistently reported a strong association between spouse abuse and problem drinking. The primary aim of this study was to examine the role of spouse abuse as mediator between the husband's problem and wife's problem drinking. Data from 1st year Korea Welfare Panel were used for the analysis. Subjects in this study consisted of 3,284 male household who aged between 19 years old and 64 years old. The statistical significance was tested by SPSS 18.0, AMOS 18.0. The findings of the study were as follows: First, husband's problem drinking were significantly affected to the wife's problem drinking. Second, there was a strong association between husband's problem drinking and spouse abuse. Third, spouse abuse worked as mediators between the husband's problem and wife's problem drinking. Based upon these findings we suggest to develop an integrated substance abuse-domestic violence treatment program. The implications and limitations of these findings were discussed, and directions for future studies were also proposed.
