This research is about executing the suitability evaluation of the data through wireless communication system in comparison with the data through the wire system used in National Highway Traffic Management System. The communication system for the evaluation was established on Peoyngteak-Anjung section(about 19 Km) at Route 38 in southern National Highway of the National Capital region where image detectors with the communication by wire were set up. In the situation, the comparison of the data transmission rates between the wire system and the proposed system was accomplished. Before we evaluate the possibility of application about the proposed system, the elements of wireless systems performed the spot investigations. Traffic data transmission test among the equipments was accomplished on the section of the Route 38 where wireless communication equipments were set up. And then, the test of traffic data transmission between the field equipment and the data collective center of wireless communication system was carried out. It evaluated the reliability of wireless communication data for the suitability evaluation of cable/wireless data collected while 73 days.
This was originally from the preceding research, '50 years of Sade's Studies,' and we have submitted this thesis by reorganizing it carefully in a paper format. To understand Sade, we had to go through and consider certain characteristics that the critics were reluctant to reveal. In other words, the revelation of the polythony throughout the work, the contradictory philosophical discourse of the characters, and the fact that Marquis' work is a situational text are factors to consider in this case. People have studied Sade disregarding these characteristics for a long period of time. Especially those groups of professional critics, has taken only a certain amount of Sade's work for their theoretical justification. As a result, the work of Sade became unreadable. Fortunately, researchers since 1990 have refused to continue the habitual of regarding Sade in the same light as his characters, and have instead focused on the process of researching the fundamentals based on the correct data, history and ideological context. We think that the research of those who have caused reverberations to the academic world would be the key point to the Studies of Sade in the future research.

Of the collection of public libraries in Korea, the literature collection is the largest, and Korean fictions, about 14% of the entire collection constitute the largest single subject. However, in the Korean Decimal Classification(KDC) Korean fiction is represented in one section, that is, 813 which corresponds to the only one of thousand divisions. More specifically, only two sub-sections, 813.6 and 813.7 are supposed to be assigned to the huge collection of modern Korean fiction, and, in reality, only 813.6 is being used in most libraries. Even with the use of book numbers, such disproportionate allocation of classification numbers would definitely lower the discriminative capacity of call numbers given to each item. It would also bring about difficulties in both shelving, on the libraries' side, and finding items from shelf, on the users' side. This study aims to examine the issues related to classifying Korean fictions in public libraries, including the composition of KDC schedules and the actual practice of classification, and then proposes the measures for improving the classification of Korean fictions.

This study analysed work types of Chinese bibliographical records based on FRBR model to identify how many useful data there are in bibliographical records and how much difference in usefulness there is according to themes. For the purposes, the study randomly extracted samples of 2,200 Chinese books with 100 cases of 22 kinds from "Chinese Library Classification" through National Library of China's OPAC, targeting Chinese books collected by the National Library of China to analyse the work types of Chinese bibliographical records and their usefulness in application of the FRBR model according to themes and data types. The results are summarized as follows: Firstly, in applying the FRBR model for Chinese bibliographical records, 18.6% was considered as useful works for which simple work was added to complex work. Secondly, although it is a fact that usefulness is higher as bibliographical relations are more complex, only works by famous people collected in 'Marxism-Leninism'(A) and some classics and modern masterpieces collected in 'Literature'(I) have diverse versions of works such as sequels, revision, reproduction, adaptation, and critical books. However, if criticism, review, explanation and bibliographical introduction are included in specific subjects of 'Military'(E), 'Language and Words'(H), 'Literature'(I) and 'Comprehensive Book'(Z), it was clear that their usefulness is relatively high.
This paper is an analysis about Ahn, Jasan's theory of Sijo. He comprehended that Korean classical poetry is not a literary genre written in letters but a music genre sung orally, because he minutely investigated old books under the situation without preconceptions. Ahn, who had a thorough knowledge on our native music or literature, had an exact recognition about Sijo. He had analyzed existence of Sijo after commenting Sijo's true nature, whenever he discuss. His attitude was possible for his recognition like that. The first step of Ahn, Jasan's theory of Sijo is source of Sijo searched for identity of Sijo. Generic source, metrics, poetical idea, and history are written well in the paper. Establishment of Sijo's poetic identity is second step's discourse about Ahn's theory of Sijo, the contents are integrated in his book Poetics of Sijo poetry. He became to discuss Sijo as a regular poetry, even in this book. Especially a minute discussion about theory of Sijo's phrase and lines was accomplished in this time, theory of metrics based on meter and rhythm was a core discussion of this time too. Although his scholarly opinions are not refined comparing to the scholars of later ages, we can say that his opinions clearly worked a role of exemplary precedent. His opinions were other scholars ahead, nevertheless he had been neglected by researchers for not belonging to major group against his will. For this reason, I think Ahn's status in history of Sijo study has to be readjusted.
The starting point of this discussion resides in the 'eyes' of mirror in a sense of seeing the self reflected in a mirror. The meaning of mirror has been evolved over the centuries while strengthening its sense of identity by bringing up some questions for resemblance, reproduction, self-reflection and reality. A mirror has also extended its vision and provided with a range of images that the self can't have. In this regard, looking into a mirror has been a sustained focus of attention by creating another ostensible being of self-image. This shows the two sides of mirror, which reveals an ambiguous gap between substance and illusion. An excessive immersion in a reflected image in a mirror is intensified and expressed today. The eyes of mirror consisting of a complex dual structure show relations between a person who sees and a person who is seen, which draws a hazy line of demarcation between the subject and the object. This opens up the possibility of the world of chiasme, where you could face all the aspects being from the eyes of others. Furthermore, the meaning of the reflection in a mirror has formed a creative discourse as an enigmatic medium that creates a variety of 'eyes' in various forms of aesthetic expression like paintings and literature. I accordingly suggest that the 'eyes of mirror' is the ambiguous 'eyes of human being' reflected in two territories of the world. Therefore, I will present the historical development of the perspective on the mirror to take a concrete approach in which it opens up the reflective structure of resemblance through a series of examples projected onto the literary and artistic productions. This study will serve as ruminations on the fact that your life is being existent in 'chiasme' of mutual entanglement between the self and the world by investigating relations between a person who sees and a person who is seen, in other words, relations between the perceiving subject and the eyes of others reflected in a mirror.
A pavilion is located in the place with beautiful scenery, which maximizes the poetical features of nature. So a scholar in the Chosun Dynasty had the dream of possessing it. This trends of the Chosun scholar resulted in producing lots of literary works related with the pavilion. In this thesis, I researched the characters of Pavilion Si-Jo in accordance with the function of pavilion. First, the pavilion, which is surrounded by the beautiful scenery, is a good place to see the beauty of nature. It is needless to walk around to see the scenery thanks to its open structure. So the feeling in the pavilion Si-Jo is distinguished from other sightseeing Si-Jos: those show the way of seeing the scenery walking here and there, but this shows the way of seeing the scenery only just looking up, looking down, and looking in the distance. Second, the pavilion functions as an academic place. In this case, it can be said that it functions like a lecture hall. It is more effective to study in the pavilion than in the closed structure, a lecture hall. Furthermore, the scholar studying in the pavilion understand the principle of nature with seeing the beautiful mountain and river, and it can be a place for growing a vast-flowing spirit. This kind of poetry has been handed down with the Chinese poetry, and the character who operated the pavilion often appears in the work. Third, the pavilion functions as a space for a fraternity or poetry circles. The poetic exchange was conducted by host of pavilion. which is the key ingredient for organizing a poetry circles. Finally, the pavilion functions as an entertainment. Although it is a space for an entertainment, there is no deviation as a man of novel birth. If the pavilion has the feature of closeness, there are sometimes works which shows the deviation of them.
The Chinese poems written by Je-Ma Yi may be categorized into two different facets: one is about a broad spectrum of a man's feelings covering from delight to sorrow; and the other is about self-caution. He has been known to be a warrior having strong self-respect and a man of tough personality reluctant to compromise with others. As a result of analyzing his poems, however, it was confirmed that he was an ordinary person who got along with his neighborhood, took a pleasure in appreciating natural beauty and wandered around in agonies of pain. The literary features reflected in his self-caution poems are compatible with his own philosophical thought. Through these poems, he revealed his autonomous perception of life, and its ultimate goal was placed on the fulfillment of moral obligation, the highest value that a man should achieve as an individual. Je-Ma Yi's Chinese poems are in full harmony with the general tendency shown in the area of poetic literature during the late Yi dynasty. As pointed out above, particular qualities are represented in his poems, and thereby, from comparative perspectives with his unique literariness, future research activities should be directed to a well-defined study on other contemporary writers.

The purpose of this study is to establish genre knowledge that can be used to study classical Korean novels. Genre knowledge is important because it characterizes individual works based on their knowledge, as well as organically links them with the social context. In this study, I suggest that long classical Korean novels with similar contents can be analyzed using genre knowledge and analyze the "register" of the representative work Sohyeonsungrok as an example of a classical Korean novel. In the Sydney school, register connects genre and language. Register comprises field, tenor, and mode in the social context, and ideological meaning, interpersonal meaning, and textual meaning through language. These three meanings help us to understand how experiences are transformed into language, the relationship between participants, and the way a text is organized. Based on these frameworks, this study reveals that the linguistic features of Sohyeonsungrok is "an attitude that accepts a wide range of human emotions and desires and steadily waits for it to be included in norms." Classic Korean novels such as Sohyeonsungrok depict characters who are not wicked even though they cannot fully comply with social norms, and thereby create sympathy for family members living through Confucian ideology. This genre knowledge is useful for understanding the ideological implications of classical Korean novels.

A joke (才談, 재담) is "the most interesting and witty language unit" in our speech. However, the search of a joke is still starting. Although joke are related to the witty and interesting talks, stories, songs and plays, the actual object of a joke is only the witty and interesting talk. A joke is witty talk that is interesting or laughter-inducing. Many Jokes can be found in the traditional Korean funny performing arts (演戱, 연희). This is because these art forms are performed in open yards, which necessitated amusing the audience, amusement, in its turn, required jokes. Jokes in the traditional funny performing arts can generally be classified as follows: 1) Jokes related to a situation: These include right words at a given situation, exaggerating words, diminishing words, deviancy words, and cause-effect words. 2) Jokes related to discourse: These include enumerating words, amplificatory words, contrasting words, fluently lying words, undeniable words, purposely unknowing words, and deliberately incorrect words. 3) Jokes related to vocabulary: These include synonym, similar words, changed word-ordering words, and incorrect words. 4) Jokes related to pronunciation: These include homonyms, and anti-homonyms. Although there may be other jokes, those presented above are typical ones. A joke is "the result that human being can achieve when he/she has overcome natural and social difficulties and is left with only a free and creative spirit." Jokes are necessary in all ages and everywhere. Today, more varied and high-level jokes can be created by developing the diversity of jokes in traditional funny performing arts. Also, I expect new sorts of jokes, because a joke always demands a creative spirit.
