Many application using GIS has been carried out by governments and public office, and Cungbuk province has produced very effective results on agricultural income crops cultivation suit-land, since executed local autonomy system imported GIS for cope with variation of local administration environment, science of administration. The result on the selection of agricultural cultivation suit-land, in fact, offered us very useful information of the policy establishment concern with agriculture. In this study, we had analysed suit elements of cultivation : soil texture, soil drain, soil slope, soil depth and pH. ARC/INFO and ERDAS systems were used for this study.

The production of the tea leaf is characteristic of the geographical distribution. The farmer of the Chonnam, Cheju, kyongnam has taken the their chance of the income crops in the tea leafs. The income crops has been developed the production system by the leaf producer. The consumer has improved the conditions of the life in search of the efficiency in the consumer system. Coping with the systems in the production and consumer, It requires consideration from the change and extension in the distribution systems. The distribution systems has gone through with the power of creation in the demand and supply.

The purposes of this study were to classify the silver farming types and to investigate proper crops for silver farmers. Data were collected from 408 farmers returned from the urban area. Descriptive statistics were employed using SPSS/PC windows program. After then, researchers discussed the silver farming patterns and their proper crops, and tried to analyze the silver farming model. Major results were as follows: The farming aims of retirees, urban residents as well as farmers returned from the urban area were various from hobby/ leisure to income generating activities. Fourteen types of silver farming were classified by farming aim and residential area of retirees. Retirees in the hobby/leisure-oriented silver farming type can select and enjoy the various plants, animals, and insects as well as crops due to their small scale. Silver farmers in the self-sufficiency type may select crops for their food. Income-oriented silver farmers may have difficulties in choosing the proper crop. They must consider their income needs, health status and field location. Profit-oriented silver farmers with venture mind can have some business opportunities in the agricultural sectors in spite of severe competition. As the aged silver farmers have poor health, they must keep work safety rules, use the proper work-aids, and utilize the labor-saving farming system.

In the spring of 2018, opened-flowers of fruit trees were frozen to death due to abnormal low temperature around Jeonbuk Province and southern Gyeonggi Province areas. In the 2000s, abnormal weather is observed all over the world very frequently. As a consequence, various sectors of the society suffer from economic damage and negative effects of the abnormal weather. Moreover, recent global climate change is believed to increase the incidence of extreme weathers, which are out of the normal range of the local climate. It is necessary to identify these abnormal weather phenomena accurately and analyze the effects of them on crops in order to understand the effects of them on crop yields. This study projected the trend of the low-temperature occurrence in the future by predicting the changes in future flowering dates and quantifying the temperature distribution after flowering using climate change scenarios. This study targeted areas actually producing a major portion of pear, peach, and apple in South Korea. The results of this study predicted that the flowering dates of these fruits will be approximately 20 days earlier than the current normal year in the future (2071-2100) for the study area. Moreover, it was found that the distribution of low temperature would vary by fruit type and region to some degree. The results of this study present only a portion of fruit trees cultivars grown in South Korea. It was expected that, when this approach is applied to various crops and fruit trees, it will be possible to contribute to preparing countermeasures for climate change in the agricultural sector.

우리나라도 국제화 시대에 대비한 조경수 생산기술개발이 어떠한 방향으로 이루어질 것인가? 조경수를 연구하고 있는 본인에게도 어려운 질문 중에 하나이다. 무엇보다도 국내의 조경수 생산기술 및 유통체계가 구축되지 않아 총체적인 문제점을 지니고 있기 때문이다. 이에 따라 현시점에서 국제화 시대에 대비하는 것이 우선적으로 국가나 지자체에서 작목반을 구성하여 그 지역에 맞는 새로운 품종육성으로 계속해서 생산할 수 있는 품종과 국제적으로 정보를 통하여 수출입을 할 수 있어야 한다. 그리고 홍보 및 전문가의 컨설팅으로 재배관리 및 수종선택이 필요함과 동시 모든 것이 기계화, 규격화로 이루어지는 시스템이 중요하다.

경북 성주지역은 전국적으로 유명한 참외의 주산지이다. 시설참외 재배 단지 중 성주지역이 차지하는 면적이 약 47%('89)를 차지하고 있으며, 현재 군내 참외 재배 면적은 고소득 작목으로 날로 증가하고 있으며, 인근 선산, 김천, 구미지역에까지 확대되고 있는 실정이다. 사용하고 있는 온실은 단동비닐 온실이 85%, 연동비닐 온실은 15%로 거의 대부분이 단동 비닐 온실이다. (중략)

쌀, 보리를 중심으로 한 전분질 식량만이 농업생산의 전부인 것처럼 여겨오던 주곡시대에서 경제성장과 더불어 고칼로리성과 조미성 식품생산이 강조되는 다변화 식량시대로 옮겨지게 되면서 크게는 정부의 농업정책이나 적게는 농가의 영농설계가 크게 바뀌어져 가고 있는게 사실이다. 식량에서 큰 비중을 차지하던 보리증산이 농가자율에 맡겨지게 도고 다수확 이점을 가지고 있던 통일벼보다는 미질을 우선으로 하는 일반계 벼 재배가 늘어가는 것과 함께 식용유, 채소, 축산물이 대량소비되는 시대로 전환되어 가고 있다.

특용작물 선택은 자기지역의 입지조건에 알맞은 작물과 품종을 선정하여 농업경영을 합리적으로 다양화 할 필요가 있다. 우리나라는 다행히 기상변화가 뚜렷하고 작물의 종류도 대단히 많은 실정이므로 지역별 주산단지를 조성하여 생활필수품 또는 중요한 가공원료로서 용도를 가지고 있는 작목과 우리나라 고유의 특산품으로 각광을 받는 작물을 선택하여 재배함으로서 앞으로 다가올 올림픽용품 등을 제조 판매하거나 수출하여 외화를 획득할 수 있는 좋은 기회라고 생각된다. 그러므로 특용작물을 도입하여 농업경영을 합리화하려면 적지적작(適地適作)의 원칙에 따라 그 지방의 기후와 토지조건에 알맞은 종류와 품종을 선택하여 재배 기술과 수확, 조제, 가공방법 등을 잘 파악하여 재배하도록 한다.
