Actinomycetes GF 155-2, which produced an extracellular pepsin inhibitor, was isolated from soil samples. Optimal conditions of inhibitor production by flask-shacking culture were 2% glucose, 0.7% polypeptone, initial pH 1.0, culture time 60 hours and temperature 30%. Effect of in-organic salts was not observed. About 5mg of colorless crystalline inhibitor was obtained from 5L culture broth in jar tormentor by means of ammonium sulfate precipitation, methanol extraction, and column chromatographies on Amberlite IR-120, XAD-2 and silicagel 60.

The inhibitor, a kind of ethyl acetate crude extract, was isolated from the old culture liquid of I.galbana. Through measured the culture density, the contents of chlorophyll a. polysaccharide and protein in the cells, the inhibitory effect of the inhibitor on the growth of cells was investigated. The results showed that the inhibitor obviously inhibited the cell growth of three microalgae.
A microorganism, YS-221-B strain which powerfully produced $\alpha$-D-Glucosidase Inhibitor was isolated from soil. The morphological, cultural characteristics and physiological properties of the strain were investigated. As the results of various examinations, the strain YS-221-B was identified to be similar to Streptomyces flavouirens except the utilization of raffinose, i-inositol among the various carbon sources.
To find ${\alpha}-amylase$ inhibitors produced by microorganisms from soil, a strain which had a strong inhibitory activity against bacterial ${\alpha}-amylase$ was isolated from the soil sample collected in Korea. The morphological and physiological characteristics of this strain on several media and its utilization of carbon sources showed that it was one of Streptomyces species according to the International Streptomyces Project method. The amylase inhibitor of this strain was purified by active carbon adsorption, silicagel column chromatography, SP-Sephadex C-25 column chromatography, adsorption on Amberlite XAD-2. The inhibitor was oligosaccharide which was composed of glucose. The inhibitor had inhibitory activity against other amylase such as salivary ${\alpha}-amylase$, pancreatic ${\alpha}-amylase$, fungal ${\alpha}-amylase$ and gluco-amylase.
Acyl CoA synthetase inhibitor, was purified from the culture broth of a Bacillus sp. B-6, which had been isolated from soil, by chloroform extract, silica gel column chro matography and preparative TLC. The purified acyl CoA synthetase inhibitor showed higher Antifungal activity against C. al-bicans (MIC: 8${\mu}$g/ml). Though the analysis of UV spectrum, melting point, IR spectrum, Mass-spectrum, $^1H$-NMR and $^{13}C$-NMR spectrum, the inhibitor could be identified as phenazine-l-carboxylic acid.
The corrosion behavior of aluminum and mild steel in hydrochloric acid medium was studied using a nicotinic acid hydrazide as inhibitor by potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy technique and gravimetric methods. The effects of inhibitor concentration and temperature were investigated. The experimental results suggested, nicotinic acid hydrazide is a good corrosion inhibitor for both aluminum and mild steel in hydrochloric acid medium and the inhibition efficiency increased with increase in the inhibitor concentration. The polarization studies revealed that nicotinic acid hydrazide exhibits mixed type of inhibition. The inhibition was assumed to occur via adsorption of the inhibitor molecules on the aluminum and mild steel surface and inhibits corrosion by blocking the reaction sites on the surface of aluminum.
Polyamine contents and the activities of their main biosynthetic enzymes, arginine decarboxylase (ADC) and ornithine decarboxylase(ODC), were investigated in Populus leaf segments during adventitious shoot regeneration with the addition of 1 millimolar polyamine synthesis inhibitors. From the study of polyamine synthesis inhibitors, ODC was found to be the principal route of polyamine biosynthesis in adventitious shoot regeneration of Populus leaf segments. The ADC inhibitor difluoromethyl arginine(DFMA) and ODC inhibitor difluoromethyl ornithine(DFMO) strongly reduced the putrescine content. On the contarary, DCHA, an inhibitor of spermidine synthase, increased it. Spermidine content was decreased with the treatment of each polyamine synthesis inhibitor, but the inhibitory effect of DCHA was stronger than any other polyamine inhibitor. The decreased polyamine level by polyamine synthesis inhibitors was restored with the exogenously applied polyamine. Comparing the polyamine contents with the adventitious shoot regeneration rate, were observed a close correlation between spermidine content and adventitious shoot regeneration of Populus leaf segments.
This study was performed to evaluate the adsorption rate of phosphate corrosion inhibitor and reaction rate constant in drinking water distribution systems. The optimum concentration of corrosion inhibitor would vary depending on the quality of water, pipe materials, and condition of metal surfaces. The current adsorption study indicated that the residual phosphate concentration of the corrosion inhibitor decreased with the time as it adsorbed on the surface of pipe material. As time went by, the residual phosphate concentration became constant. It means that the formation of the corrosion protection film on metal surfaces is completed.
The inhibitor had the inhibitory activities against hydrolysis of PNPG, sucrose and ONPG by $\alpha$-Dglucosidase, $\alpha$ - and $\beta$ -galactosidase, but it did not inhibit amylases and other carbohydrases. Kinetic studies exhibited that the inhibitory substance non-competitively inhibited the enzyme reaction with a Ki value of 118 $\mu$g/m$\ell$, and enzyme-inhibitor complex was formed slowly.
Immune checkpoint inhibitor is associated with variety of immune-related adverse events. We present a case of polyneuropathy induced by immune checkpoint inhibitor, which was refractory to steroid and immunoglobulin. While high-dose steroid and immunoglobulin were not effective, we tried rituximab which is effective in other immune-mediated polyneuropathy. After rituximab treatment, patient's clinical symptom and nerve conduction study finding was markedly improved. We suggest rituximab might be effective in polyneuropathy induced by immune checkpoint inhibitor.
