본 연구에서는 현재 DOI를 위한 메타데이터로 채택되어 활발하게 연구되고 있는 전자상거래를 위한 메타데이터 INDECS(Interoperability of Data in E-Commerce Systems)를 전통적 형태의 메타데이터인 MARC21 (MAchine Readable Cataloging)과 더블린코어(Dublin Core) 메타데이터간의 데이터 요소들을 비교하여, 서로 다른 메타데이터간의 상호운용성을 제공하기 위한 방안에 대하여 연구하였다.

Recently, the studies of contents protection technique are getting popular in the field of internet DRM(Digital Right Management). But, authentication process of digital contents is different from each implementation. Also, protection technique for the contents rights intrusion adapts each other methodologies. We survey the modeling and system of DRM such as DOI, INDECS, MPEG-21, XrML, and OPIMA standard in this paper.

인터넷을 통해 유통되는 디지털콘텐츠의 식별과 접근을 위한 고유식별체계로서 DOI(Digital Object Identifier)의 개발, DOI의 구문구조, DOI의 관리와 운영, DOI 메타데이터와 장르, DOI변환과 핸들 시스템을 소개하고 DOI의 국내 도입을 위한 DOI등록시스템, 변환시스템 검색시스템, INDECS 메타데이터를 이용한 디지털 콘텐츠 유통관리 시스템, DOI참조링크 시스템의 개념적 설계와 구축 내용을 기술한다.

The Dublin Core, MARC. IFLA-FRBR user communities are developing international standards for describing textual, physical and audiovisual resources to enable their resources discovery over the Internet. Therefore the metadata interoperability Problem has been exacerbated by the need for more complex metadata descriptions. In this paper we propose a new mechanism for metadata interoperability based on the new semantic web applications : IFLA-FRBR framework, INDECS metadata and an event-aware ABC models. This study introduces a new approach method which is essential to the generation of interoperable metadata descriptions, particularly in the context of multimedia contents.

What is introduced in this paper is current and important issues for efficient interoperability between different metadata such as Dublin Cere, MARC 21, and INDECS. Five major principles have been suggested here for effective interoperability between metadata based on the contents of crosswalking in White Paper of NISO. An INDECS based metadata framework, ONIX is compared to MARC and Dublin Core.

FRBR(Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records) that is conceptual model of bibliographic universal is increased its value because of spreading digital libraries. This research investigates application strategies of the FRBR model, For the study 7 foreign application cases are analyzed. Especially focused on the reason of adoption and method of the entities in the first group of the FRBR model. The result of this research could be the basic resources for study and implementation of the FRBR Model.

웹 정보 자원은 서지 자료와는 달리 인터넷상에 널리 분산되어 있으며, 그 특성상 계속하여 동적으로 변화하기 때문에, 전통적인 메타데이터의 주제 접근방식으로 접근하기는 어렵다. 또한, 인터넷상의 웹 정보 자원에 폭발적 증가는 더 이상 메타데이터 전문가가 아닌, 저작물의 생산자가 직접 메타데이터를 만들어내는 생산자로서의 역할까지 수행하도록 요구한다. 디지털 콘텐츠를 위한 메타데이터는 인터넷 전자상거래에서처럼 보다 복잡하고 다양한 용도로 그 사용범위가 확대되어짐에 따라, 디지털 콘텐츠를 위한 새로운 메타데이터 표준안은 기존 메타데이터들의 역할인 대상에 대한 세부적인 유형과 특징을 기술한 형식적 정보(syntactic information)전달기능을 제공함과 동시에, 어떠한 사건이 발생한 상황을 정확히 기술할 수 있는 의미적 정보(semantic information) 전달기능의 역할을 수행해야 한다.
