High Strength low alloy steels containing various levels of C, Nb and Mn were used and for each of which, a simulated double thermal cycle was applied with the same first peak temperature and different second peak temperatures to produce HAZ microstructure corresponding to multi-pass weld. Effect of double cycle second temperature on the microstructure was observed and compared with single cycle results obtained from previous works, it was found that the percentage of martensite austenite constituent (MA) increases by Nb addition for all steels with the same Mn content and the increase in Mn content at the same Nb content shows an increase in MA area fraction as well. MA area fraction obtained for the double cycle is larger than that obtained for the single cycle for all steels used which imply that MA will have great role in the brittle fracture initiation for double cycle and the inter-pass temperature should be controlled for medium and high-carbon Mn steel to avoid large area fraction of MA. The beneficial effects of Niobium obtained in single pass weld were not observed for the double cycle or multi pass welds.

The purpose of this study is to examine the joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure of Koreans in Arirang songs. Arirang is a representative song that strengthens the collective identity and social bond of Koreans. For Koreans who mainly eat rice, Arirang represents rice, life, and reason for its existence. Koreans have been singing Arirang together for a long time, overcoming pain, sadness, and hardships and consoling their minds and bodies. Arirang is a national music that is loved more and sung more often than the national anthem. The hill on the mountain is not a place to stay. The pass is a passing place. This gives us a lot of thought. We have various difficulties living in the world. The word Arirang means that Arirang is not one state. The end of joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure is surely a joy. Arirang Pass (Arirang Gogae) is not a staying pass, but a crossing pass. Arirang, which contains joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure, is a soul song and a consolation medicine for mental and physical health. We suggest that Arirang song compared to standard care may have beneficial effects on anxiety, hope, pain, and depression in patients.

고산기후관측소에서 2008년 8월과 9월의 Cheju ABC Plume Monsoon Experiment (CAPMEX) 기간 동안 3파장 photoacoustic soot spectrometer (PASS)로 측정된 에어로졸 흡수계수(${\sigma}_a$)와 에어로졸 산란계수(${\sigma}_s$)를 기존의 연구에서 널리 사용되고 있는 aethalometer 및 nephelometer의 동시관측 결과와 비교하였다. PASS ${\sigma}_a$의 관측결과는 aethalometer ${\sigma}_a$와 시간 변화 경향성이 매우 잘 일치했으나, 532 nm의 경우 절대값 면에서 PASS ${\sigma}_a$가 약 53% 큰 값을 보여 다소 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다. PASS ${\sigma}_s$의 관측결과는 nephelometer ${\sigma}_s$와 비교했을 때, 근소한 차이로 매우 잘 일치함을 확인하였다(Bias Difference: $13.6Mm^{-1}$). 대기 중의 상대습도(RH)가 증가함에 따라 ${\sigma}_a$보다는 ${\sigma}_s$에 대한 영향이 큰 것으로 사료된다. Nephelometer ${\sigma}_s$와 PASS ${\sigma}_s$의 비율은 상대습도가 증가할수록 명확히 증가하는 경향성을 보였다. 이는 RH가 증가함에 따라서 PASS의 ${\sigma}_s$가 nephelometer ${\sigma}_s$에 비해서 상대적으로 감소하였음을 의미하며, 이러한 경향성은 RH가 70~80%를 넘어서면서 차이가 더욱 두드러지게 나타났다. Nephelometer와 aethalometer의 ${\sigma}_a$ 및 ${\sigma}_s$ 관측 결과 보다 PASS의 측정 결과로부터 산출한 $A{\AA}E$와 $S{\AA}E$가 더 크게 나타났다.

We propose and design a new type of anrrow band-pass optical filter based on two fiber gratings with different reflection wavelength. The ripples occur in the spectra of the filter with two uniform fiber gratings. Our simulation results also show that the ripples disappear with the fiber gratings apodized to both gaussian and hyperbolic tangent function. The hyperbolic tangent function seems to be a better apodization function for improving the filter's performance in terms of narrow pass bandwidth and high transmission.

A 20 MHz CMOS continuous low-pass filter using simulated floating inductor consisted of two fully-differential transconductors and a capacitor is presented. The theory of operation is described and simulation results show close agreement between predicted behaviour and experimential performance. Simulation results show that the filter has ripple bandwidth of 22 MHz, pass-band ripple of 0.36 ㏈. and cutoff frequency of 26 MHz at supplay voltage of $\pm$3 V. The power dissipation is 19.2 ㎽.

최근에 등장한 Gigabit Ethernet은 LAN 에서 MAN 가지 영역을 확장하고 있다. 그리고, 품질 보장 서비스를 위해 RFC 2205에 정의된 RSVP(Resource Reservation Protocol)는 확장성 등의 내부적인 문제로 사용이 적다. 좀더 나은 품질 보장 서비스를 하기 위한 노력 중 하나로 RFC2814 에서는 SBM(Subnet Bandwidth Manager) 이라 하여 RSVP를 IEEE 802형태의 LAN에서 구현하자고 노력하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 기존의 RSVP 의 문제점 중 하나인 killer problem 을 해결하기 위만 Two-pass RSVP 개념을 SBM에서 적용할 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

The Chevshev's filter, which is most typical low pass filter, is adopted for this investigation and driven controller of full bridge inverter used EV8097BH one-chi p controller.

EDFA의 이득(gain)과 잡음지수(noise figure)는 매우 중요한 특성 중의 하나이다. 전송 시스템에서 필연적으로 발생하는 ASE 잡음을 제거하는 것이 중요하다. EDFA의 중간에 필터(filter)와 아이솔레이터(isolator)를 삽입하여 불필요한 ASE를 제거함으로써 이득과 잡음지수를 향상시킬 수 있으며, 기존의 단일경로(single-pass) EDFA에서 필터의 위치가 40-60％ 근처에서 이득과 잡음지수 향상이 가장 크게 된다. 그러나, 거울(mirror)을 사용하여 증폭 효율을 높인 이중경로(double-pass) EDFA에서 필터에 의한 이득 향상에 관한 연구발표는 아직까지 없다. Although an ideal low-pass filter is not physically realizable, it can be approximated on the basis of time reversal techniques. In this paper, we describe a method to approximately implement the ideal low-pass filter and apply it to the pitch extraction system. Experimental results show that our method is effective to estimate the fundamental frequency of the speech signal.

This letter proposes a band-pass filter (BPF) with two transmission zeros based on a combination of parallel coupling and end coupling of half-wave transmission lines. The fabricated BPF exhibited a narrow bandwidth and two transmission zeros near the pass-band due to the end-coupled and shielding waveguide. At the center operation frequency of 60 GHz, the 20 dB bandwidth of the BPF is 1.0 GHz, which is almost 2% of the center operation frequency, and the insertion loss is 3.12 dB. Two transmission zeros reach approximately 40 dB at 58.5 and 62.5 GHz. The simulation results almost agree with the measured results.
