Pcrosonimr westermani is a lung fluke of humans that Is usually found in the lunes but may be fecund elsewhere in many unusual locations. A case of pelvic paragonimiasis was found incidentally by surgical intervention of inamatov disease and myoma uteri. She was a 51-year-old Korean woman complaining of lower abdominal pain and intermittent vaginal spotting. Numerous Porosonimus ova were observed in the reseated omentum in the pelvis after total abdominal hysterectomy. It is suggested that pelvic paragonimiasis may be one of causative agents of pelvic inflammatory disease.

An omental infarctions is an uncommon cause of an acute abdomen and a rare entity in children. The etiology is still unclear and the symptoms mimic acute appendicitis. We recently encountered a case of a 10-year-old boy who had a previous surgical history of a manual reduction for intussusception. He complained of abdominal pain and right upper quadrant tenderness without fever or anorexia. An abdominal ultrasonography suggested an omental infarction and computed tomography confirmed the diagnosis. Conservative management was adopted with a rapid and uneventful recovery. Non-operative treatment is a safe and effective treatment of choice for omental infarction.

Empyema with bronchopleural fistula is a serious complication after resectional surgery of the lung. Several methods in treating empyema with bronchopleural fistula have been developed, but the results were not always satisfactory. Recently, successful results have been reported with the surgical treatments using tissue flap (the omentum and f or the chest wall muscles) to close the bronchopleural fistula in patients with thoracic empyema. We have performed surgical procedures to treat bronchopleural fistula using omentum in 1 patient an chest wall muscles in 3 patients. Their postoperative courses were uneventful.

Transabdominal approach in redo coronary artery bypass grafting(CABG) may avoid the risk related to repeat sternotomy. Redo CABG using this approach can be performed safely in selected cases. We report a case of redo off-pump CABG through a transabdominal approach in a 59-year-old woman with recurrent unstable angina after a previous CABG. Through a curvilinear epigastric incision, right gastroepiploic artery(RGEA) was harvested as a graft, and the RGEA-to-right coronary artery anastomosis was performed on the beating heart. A 1-day postoperative angiographic study showed the patent RGEA graft, and she was discharged on postoperative 4th day without any complication.

Size>; and sculpture pattern of pollen grains in seven species and two varieties of the genus Lilium in Korea were examined by LM and SEM, and their evolutionary trends were discussed. Lilium species in Korea can be divided into two groups based on pollen morphology: one is small reticulate group with small pollen grains and lumens, which includes L. concolor var. pulchellum and L. callosum; the other is large reticulate group with large pollen grains and lumens, which includes remaining taxa. It is thought that small reticulate group is more primitive than large reticulate group on the basis of tectum coverage. According to the above results and some morphological characters of salles and perianth segments, L. concolor var. pulchellum and L. callosum are very closely related, and they would be treated under the same subsection.ection.

The one of the big issues in fixed markets is the investment of next generation networks. The nation-wide incumbent has provided the copper cable based access networks in so far. However in the future multiple providers participant in investing network in first stage of the network investment like mobile networks. Each NRA makes efforts on the resolving construction cost of civil engineering costs through the opening conduits. To smooth operation, information opening service is needed then NRAs must determined the level of opened information and cost of usage information and so on. This paper proposed the alternation of the issues to boost the investment of the next generation networks.

This paper examines whether the dynamic and practical nature of Daoism has a significant relationship with the messianic figure Kang Jeungsan (姜甑山) via Honam (湖南) Daoism's Jinindaemangron (眞人待望論, discourse on awaiting an immortal). To this end, the historical implementation of Daoism's social transformation of consciousness in China and Korea is explored, and then the circumstances of Honam Daoism, in particular, are considered. Following that, analysis turns to the 'Jinindaemangron' in the late Joseon Dynasty that developed in Honam. As a result of the discussion, Daoism's social transformation of consciousness was expressed in China through the anti-establishment activities of the early Daoist groups such as Wudoumidao (五斗米道) and Taipingdao (太平道), movements that sought to build utopias. Throughout this process, the term, zhenren (眞人, 'jinin' in Korean), that originally meant 'master,' was transformed into the idea of a future savior. In the case of Korea, the dynamic and practical nature of Daoism can be found in the preface of Nanrang tombstone (鸞郎碑序) written by Choi Chi-won (崔致遠) which was later inherited by the Danhak sect (丹學派) practitioners who struggled against Buddhist monastics. Additionally, examined is the Docham theory of geomancy (圖讖說) that rose after Goryeo, the prophecy of 'Mokjadeuksul (木子得國說 a Lee clansman shall attain the kingdom)' that appeared thereafter, and the Prophecies of Jeong Gam (鄭鑑錄)'s 'Jinindaemangron' in the Joseon Dynasty. Next, the circumstances of Honam Daoism can be considered with regards ti Choi Chi-won and Doseon (道詵) in ancient times, and it can be confirmed that Nam Gung-du (南宮斗) and Kwon Geuk-jung (權克中) were entangled behind Kang Jeungsan. The close relationship among the Daoist Jeong family of Onyang (溫陽鄭氏), the Koh family of Jangheung (長興 高氏), and Kwon Geuk-jung was also confirmed in this study. Finally, in dealing with the 'Jinindaemangron' of Honam in the late Joseon Dynasty and the birth of Kang Jeungsan, Honam Daoism's intense consciousness of social transformation receives first focus, and this is expressed through Prophecies of Jeong Gam, and the religious ideologies of Donghak (東學) and Namhak (南學). These expressions are analyzed through Song of Gungeul (弓乙歌), composed by Jeongryeom (鄭磏), and through Daesoon Jinrihoe's The Canonical Scripture (典經). As a result, it can be confirmed that the messianic significance of the Kang Jeungsan's advent lay on the basis of the people's desire for an ideal future, which is a notion that had been ripening for several centuries.

Background: Post-pneumonectomy empyema(PPE) is an uncommon but a serious complication. The management remains as challenge for general thoracic surgeons. Material and Method: During the period of January 1990 to December 1996, we evaluated the results of 20 patients with post-pneumonectomy empyema. Result: Sex ratio were 15 male and 5 female patients with mean age of 41.5${\pm}$21.5 yrs. The occurrence ratio of left to right side was 8:12. The most common disease for prior pneumonectomy was pulmonary tuberculosis. The duration between pneumonectomy and PPE was variable in 1 month to 6yrs. Fever was the most frequent symptom and S. aureus was the most frequent pathogen. In 13 cases, there were combined with BPF. Four patients underwent trans-sternal closure, and Clagett procedure was performed. There was one recurrence that later underwent muscle plombage and omentopexy later. Nine patients underwent omentopexy, muscle plombage and thoracoplasty. There were 7 cases that were not combined with BPF. All 7 patients underwent thoracoplasty, and two of them were combined with muscle plombage. Mean follow-up duration is 40${\pm}$32.3 months. There were no late deaths nor recurrences of PPE. Conclusion: We conclude that early diagnosis and proper drainage in PPE patients are important in its initial stage of management, and also management is completely achieved in thoracoplasty with muscle plombage or omentopexy.
