This paper presents two new techniques for solving the two problems of the water curtain: 'shape distortion' caused by gravity and 'resolution degradation' caused by fine satellite droplets around the shape. In the first method, when the user converts a three-dimensional model to a vertical sequence of slices, the slices are evenly spaced. The method is to adjust the time points at which the equi-distance slices are created by the nozzle array. In this method, even if the velocity of a water drop increases with time by gravity, the water drop slices maintain the equal interval at the moment of forming the whole shape, thereby preventing distortion. The second method is called the minimum time interval technique. The minimum time interval is the time between the open command of a nozzle and the next open command of the nozzle, so that consecutive water drops are clearly created without satellite drops. When the user converts a three-dimensional model to a sequence of slices, the slices are defined as close as possible, not evenly spaced, considering the minimum time interval of consecutive drops. The slices are arranged in short intervals in the top area of the shape, and the slices are arranged in long intervals in the bottom area of the shape. The minimum time interval is pre-determined by an experiment, and consists of the time from the open command of the nozzle to the time at which the nozzle is fully open, and the time in which the fully open state is maintained, and the time from the close command to the time at which the nozzle is fully closed. The second method produces water drop sculptures with higher resolution than does the first method.
Condor is a distributed batch system for sharing the workload among the computers connected by a network. Condor distributed system was developed on the basis that every machine in a Condor pool is always connected by a network to run a Condor Job. Due to advances in wireless communication and mobile computing technology, conventional distributed computer systems can now include “mobile” clients as well as “fixed” clients. Moreover, mobile users want to lower their power consumption by off-loading potentially power and resource consuming jobs. In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of mobile interface for mobile clients in Condor distributed batch system. The main purpose of this work is to enable users on mobile computers to interact with Condor environment any time anywhere regardless of their connection to a Condor pool. The mobile Condor distributed system also aims to provide mobile users the same Condor services without making any significant changes to the existing Condor system.
, 2007 firm by Joe Wright, deals with tragic love of Cecilia and Robbie. While the 2001 novel of the same name focuses on Briony narrative the movie is seen through romantic relationship of two lovers. However, Briony's narrative in the movie helps to accent the two's love story. The director's emphasis on the love story is unfortunately from Briony tragic story. The continuous build up of misunderstanding and irreconcilable regrets begins to materialize and explodes in the middle of the film. The director manages to use just one day and uses the same location to illustrate the background of the characters as well as build up of the plot's misunderstanding. The study will focus on the beginning of the film that enabled the beautiful love story through effect and symbolic visual expression and techniques- especially the use of mise-en-scene, camera movement, framing, and lighting and how it emphasis and use of specific color and sound.

We upgraded to utilize a novel method for combining the analog to digital converter and photon-counting measurements for backscatter photon signal of lidar. We have and improve the standard combining method for determination of those conversion factors between analog to digital converter data and photon-counting data measurement which is conducted dead time correction. The combining method and dead time correction method presented here has been successfully applied to experimental data obtained in Gwangju, Korea.
We have developed a daytime measuring rotational Raman LIDAR system for temperature measurement. To decrease the background signal from sunlight, we have designed and installed narrow band (0.5 nm) and high rejection ($10^{-6}$) rate band pass filter system using a grating and an interference filter. We calibrated our system by comparing our horizontal temperature profile and KMA (Korea Meteorological Administration) data. We have found that our temperature profile has a good correlation with KMA data within our theoretically expected variance. And we have used these calibration values in obtaining a vertical temperature distribution. To check our system, we also have compared our vertical temperature data with US standard atmospheric temperature profile. We also have compared our temperature profile with sonde data.

The range data acquired by 2D/3D LIDAR, a core sensor for autonomous navigation of an unmanned ground vehicle, is effectively used for ground modeling and obstacle detection. Within the ambiguous boundary of a road environment, however, LIDAR does not provide enough information to analyze the traversable region. This paper presents a new method to analyze a candidate area using the characteristics of LIDAR reflectivity for better detection of a traversable region. We detected a candidate traversable area through the front zone of the vehicle using the learning process of LIDAR reflectivity, after calibration of the reflectivity of each channel. We validated the proposed method of a candidate traversable region detection by performing experiments in the real operating environment of the unmanned ground vehicle.
Backscatter signal observed from the space-borne Light Detection And Ranging (LIDAR) system is providing unique 3-dimensional spatial distribution as well as temporal variations for atmospheric aerosols. In this study, the continuous observations for aerosol profiles were analyzed during a years of 2012 by using a Cloud-Aerosol LIDAR with Orthogonal Polarization (CALIOP), carried on the Cloud-Aerosol LIDAR and Infrared Pathfinder Satellite Observation (CALIPSO) satellite. The statistical analysis on the particulate extinction coefficient and depolarization ratio for each altitude was conducted according to time and space in order to estimate the variation of optical properties of aerosols over Northeast Asia ($E110^{\circ}-140^{\circ}$, $N20^{\circ}$$-50^{\circ}$). The most frequent altitudes of aerosols are clearly identified and seasonal mean aerosol profiles vary with season. Since relatively high particle depolarization ratios (>0.5) are found during all seasons, it is considered that the non-spherical aerosols mixed with pollution are mainly exists over study area. This study forms initial regional 3-dimensional aerosol information, which will be extended and improved over time for estimation of aerosol climatology and event cases.

Change detection using the heterogeneous data such as aerial images, aerial LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging), and satellite images needs to be developed to efficiently monitor the complicating land use change. We approached this problem not relying on the intensity value of the geospatial image, but by using RECC(Relative Edge Cross Correlation) which is based on the edge information over the urban and suburban area. The experiment was carried out for the aerial LiDAR data with high-resolution Kompsat-2 and −3 images. We derived the optimal window size and threshold value for RECC-based change detection, and then we observed the overall change detection accuracy of 80% by comparing the results to the manually acquired reference data.
Planetary Boundary Layer Height (PBLH) is a major input parameter for weather forecasting and atmosphere diffusion models. In order to estimate the sub-grid scale variability of PBLH, we need to monitor PBLH data with high spatio-temporal resolution. Accordingly, we introduce a LIdar observation VEhicle (LIVE), and analyze PBLH derived from the lidar loaded in LIVE. PBLH estimated from LIVE shows high correlations with those estimated from both WRF model ($R^2=0.68$) and radiosonde ($R^2=0.72$). However, PBLH from lidar tend to be overestimated in comparison with those from both WRF and radiosonde because lidar appears to detect height of Residual Layer (RL) as PBLH which is overall below near the overlap height (< 300 m). PBLH from lidar with 10 min time resolution shows typical diurnal variation since it grows up after sunrise and reaches the maximum after 2 hours of sun culmination. The average growth rate of PBLH during the analysis period (2014/06/26 ~ 30) is 1.79 (-2.9 ~ 5.7) m $min^{-1}$. In addition, the lidar signal measured from moving LIVE shows that there is very low noise in comparison with that from the stationary observation. The PBLH from LIVE is 1065 m, similar to the value (1150 m) derived from the radiosonde launched at Sokcho. This study suggests that LIVE can observe continuous and reliable PBLH with high resolution in both stationary and mobile systems.

A SIM card socket is used for a cell phone to fix an USIM card and a push-push mechanism is typically employed in the SIM card socket for a user convenience. A SIM card is inserted with locking when a user pushes the card once and a SIM card is removed with unlocking when a user pushes the card again. A push-push mechanism is operated by a heart-cam structure and a main spring. A cam slider and a cam stick consisting a push-push mechanism may be broken because of the main spring. So, dynamic stress at a cam slider and a cam stick which is generated by a main spring during operating should be analyzed and considered in the push-push mechanism design. In this paper, a flexible multibody model of a push-push mechanism was developed to analyze dynamic stress at a cam slider and a cam stick.
