이동체의 위성 수신용 안테나 설계에 관한 연구 (A study on the design for mobile satellite receiver antenna)

  • 본 논문에서는 Ku-band에서 동작하는 환형의 주름을 가진 코니컬 급전혼을 가진 축 이동 그레고리안 안테나를 개발하였다. 중심축을 기준으로 $1.5^{\circ}$정도 기울어진 부반사경을 회전하는 방식으로 위성 위치 추적이 가능하도록 설계하였으며, 축 이동 그레고리안 안테나의 주반사경, 부반사경의 곡률 및 급전 중심점을 안테나의 효율이 최대가 되도록 최적화하였다. 제안된 반사경 안테나는 12.2GHz에서 33dB(효율 : 64%, 이론치 : -1dB)의 이득을 가지며 교차편파 레벨은 -21dB이하이다. 그리고 -14dB의 사이드로브레벨을 특성을 보였다. 또한 제작된 안테나로 무궁화 위성수신 실험에서 C/N비는 19dB임을 실제 측정을 통하여 확인하였다.

압전단결정을 이용한 소형 free-flooded ring 트랜스듀서의 성능 특성 예측 및 검증 (Analysis and verification of the characteristic of a compact free-flooded ring transducer made of single crystals)

  • 본 연구에서는 압전세라믹 기반의 상용 Free-Flooded Ring(FFR) 트랜스듀서 대비 소형이면서 저주파 고감도 특성을 확보하기 위해, 높은 압전상수와 전기-기계 결합계수를 가지는 압전단결정 PIN-PMN-PT를 적용한 33-모드 FFR 트랜스듀서를 설계하였다. FFR 트랜스듀서의 광대역 특성을 확보하기 위해 비능동소자를 삽입한 링 구조를 적용하였으며, 3종의 비능동소자 소재 별 특성 해석 결과를 비교하여 최적의 소재를 선정하였다. 링 트랜스듀서의 특성 변화를 최소화하기 위해 오일 충진형 FFR 트랜스듀서로 제작하였으며, 음향시험을 통해 송신감도, 수중 임피던스 및 수평/수직 빔패턴이 해석결과와 잘 일치하는지 확인하였다. 해석 및 시험 결과를 비교한 결과, 송신감도는 공동공진 주파수에서 약 1.3 dB, 구조공진 주파수에서는 약 0.3 dB 차이를 보였다. 또한 상용 트랜스듀서 대비 높은 송신감도를 보유하면서도 직경을 약 17 % 축소하여 제작할 수 있었다. 이를 통해 소형이면서 고출력 특성을 가지는 압전단결정적용 FFR 트랜스듀서의 구현 가능성과 해석을 통한 특성 예측 방법의 유효성을 확인하였다.

소형 Haripin 공진기를 이용한 K 대역 Push-Push형 발진기 (The K-band push-push type miniaturized haripin resonator oscillator)

  • In this paper, the designed and fabrication of a K-band push-push oscillator using miniaturized hairpin resonator have been presented. One experimenal oscillator has been designed and fabricated for K-band point-to-point operation. the miniaturized harpin resonator has been analyzed theoretically and simulated by MPIE(Mixed Potential Integral Equation) method. With this results, the analysis of hairpin resonator which coupled microstrip line has been carried out with transmission-mode using this results. an optimized output matching network for the suppression of the fundamental and the 3rd order harmonic was acquired by using a nonlinear analysis method. The fabricated oscillator shows the output power of -2.28dBm, the fundamental frequency suppression of -19dBc, the 3rd order harmonic suppressionof -24dBc and 0.33 percent effiiency at 22.8GHz. The experimental outputs are in good agreement with the theoretical and simulated results.

라이다 시스템용 멀티채널 CMOS 피드포워드 트랜스임피던스 증폭기 어레이 (A Multi-channel CMOS Feedforward Transimpedance Amplifier Array for LADAR Systems)

  • A multi-channel CMOS transimpedance amplifier(TIA) array is realized in a $0.18-{\mu}m$ CMOS technology for the applications of panoramic scan LADAR systems. Each channel consists of a PIN photodiode and a feed-forward TIA that exploits an inverter input stage followed by a feed-forward common-source amplifier so as to achieve lower noise and higher gain than a conventional voltage-mode inverter TIA. Measured results demonstrate that each channel achieves $76-dB{\Omega}$ transimpedance gain, 720-MHz bandwidth, and -20.5-dBm sensitivity for $10^{-9}$ BER. Also, a single channel dissipates the power dissipation of 30 mW from a single 1.8-V supply, and shows less than -33-dB crosstalk between adjacent channels.

수치해석을 이용한 점성토 지반에 설치된 버켓기초의 지지력 분석 (Numerical Analysis on Bearing Capacity of a Suction Bucket in Clay)

  • 버켓기초는 현재 해양 구조물의 앵커나 해양 풍력발전의 기초로 광범위하게 쓰이고 있다. 그러나, 지금까지 버켓기초에 대한 설계 방법은 명확하게 제시되지 않았다. 그러므로, 본 연구에서는 범용 유한요소 해석 프로그램인 ABAQUS(2010)를 이용하여 점성토 지반에 설치된 버켓기초의 지지력 및 하중-변위거동에 대해 분석하였다. 버켓기초의 지지력에 영향을 주는 매개변수로 기초지름에 대한 근입깊이 비(L/D)를 선정하고 L/D 비를 0.25~ 1.0로 변화시키며 수직방향 압축과 수평방향의 지지거동을 분석하였다. 수치해석 결과 버켓기초의 지지력은 L/D비에 큰 영향을 받으며 L/D비가 0.25에서 1.0으로 증가함에 따라 수직방향 지지력은 약 40%, 수평방향 지지력은 약 90% 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 수직하중이 작용하는 경우 버켓기초의 지지력은 깊은 기초와 유사하게 선단지지력과 주변마찰력을 분리하여 산정할 수 있었다. 그리고, 수평하중이 작용하는 경우 L/D비가 0.25 인 경우 기초의 수평이동 경향이 지배적이지만, L/D비가 0.5 이상으로 증가하면 기초의 회전파괴 경향이 지배적인 것으로 나타났다.

대형디젤기관의 열화에 따른 배출가수 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Diesel Engine Deterioration on Exhaust Gas Emission)

  • Nowadays it has been strongly required to control emissions from vehicles specially in diesel engines because of increasing number of vehicle in korea. This research aims to provide with some of deterioration factors on vehicles for emissions characteristics and the test was done on an electronically controlled heavy-duty diesel engine under severe driving conditions such as 1200 driving hours, 220,000 km driving distance and a full load. Under various driving conditions, CO, HC, $NO_{x}$, PM and Soots emissions were estimated under D-13 mode and D-3 mode respectively. CO emission was not changed until 500 running hours, and as engine aging is progressed THC was not changed until 500 running hours but it decreased to about $33\%,\;NO_{x}$ decreased constantly but on the other hand PM increased up to $6.9\%$ during the aging process.

Dynamic analysis of train-bridge system under one-way and two-way high-speed train passing

  • In this paper, the dynamic responses of train-bridge system under one-way and two-way high-speed train passing are studied. The 3D finite element modeling is used and the bridge and train are modeled considering their details. The created model is validated by the results of the dynamic field test. To study the effect of train speed, different train passing scenarios are analyzed, including one-way passing, two-way passing in different directions at same speeds, and two-way passing in different directions at different speeds. The results show that the locations of maximum acceleration are different in one-way and two-way passing modes, and the maximum values in two-way passing mode are higher than those in one-way passing mode, while the maximum accelerations in both modes are almost identical. The displacement and acceleration values in different scenarios show peaks at speeds of 260 and 120 km/h, due to the proximity of the natural frequencies of the bridge and loading frequencies of the train at these speeds.

Performance of Two-User Two-Way Amplify-and-Forward Relaying Systems with Scheduling

  • In this paper, we study scheduling schemes for two-user two-way wireless relaying systems. Two transmission modes are considered: point-to-point direct transmission and two-way amplify-and-forward relaying. An optimal scheduling scheme that opportunistically selects the best transmission mode for each user is proposed to minimize the sum bit error rate (BER). The performance lower bound of the optimal scheduling scheme is analyzed, and closed-form expression of the lower-bound BER is derived. However, for optimal scheduling, the scheduler requires the knowledge of channel state information (CSI) of all links. To reduce the feedback information of CSI, we also propose a suboptimal scheduling scheme that selects the transmission mode using only the CSI of two direct links. Simulation results show that there are 4 dB to 8 dB gains for the proposed optimal and suboptimal schemes over the fixed direct transmission and fixed two-way relayed transmission scheme. The performance gap between the optimal and suboptimal scheduling schemes is small, which implies a good trade-off between implementation complexity and system performance.

무인차량용 3차원 영상처리를 위한 16-채널 CMOS 인버터 트랜스임피던스 증폭기 어레이 (A 16-channel CMOS Inverter Transimpedance Amplifier Array for 3-D Image Processing of Unmanned Vehicles)

  • This paper presents a 16-channel transimpedance amplifier (TIA) array implemented in a standard $0.18-{\mu}m$ CMOS technology for the applications of panoramic scan LADAR (PSL) systems. Since this array is the front-end circuits of the PSL systems to recover three dimensional image for unmanned vehicles, low-noise and high-gain characteristics are necessary. Thus, we propose a voltage-mode inverter TIA (I-TIA) array in this paper, of which measured results demonstrate that each channel of the array achieves $82-dB{\Omega}$ transimpedance gain, 565-MHz bandwidth for 0.5-pF photodiode capacitance, 6.7-pA/sqrt(Hz) noise current spectral density, and 33.8-mW power dissipation from a single 1.8-V supply. The measured eye-diagrams of the array confirm wide and clear eye-openings up to 1.3-Gb/s operations. Also, the optical pulse measurements estimate that the proposed 16-channel TIA array chip can detect signals within 20 meters away from the laser source. The whole chip occupies the area of $5.0{\times}1.1mm^2$ including I/O pads. For comparison, a current-mode 16-channel TIA array is also realized in the same $0.18-{\mu}m$ CMOS technology, which exploits regulated-cascode (RGC) input configuration. Measurements reveal that the I-TIA array achieves superior performance in optical pulse measurements.

수소 연료전지 추진 선박 적용을 위한 메탄올 수증기 개질 시스템 최적 운전점 연구 (A Study on Optimal Operation of Methanol Steam Reforming System for Hydrogen Fuel Cell Propulsion Ships)

  • Hydrogen fuel cell propulsion ships are emerging to respond to the recently strengthened carbon emission regulations in the international shipping sector. Methanol can be stored in a liquid state at normal pressure and temperature, and has the advantage of lower reforming temperature compared to other fuels. In this study, the optimal operating point of the methanol steam reforming system was derived by changing the Steam Carbon Ratio (SCR) from 0.10 to 3.00. Results showed that In terms of methanol conversion rate and hydrogen yield, the larger the SCR is the better, but in terms of system efficiency, it is most advantageous to operate at SCR 0.70 in Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) mode and SCR 0.80 in Pd membrane mode. Through this study, it was found that the optimal SCR in the reformer and the entire system including the reformer may be different, which indicates that the optimum operating point may be different depending on the change of the system configuration.
