Characterization of 0.5 % Ce-doped Ba($Zr_{0.2}Ti_{0.8}$)$O_3$ Thin Films Grown by RF Magnetron Sputtering Method (RF 마그네트론 스퍼터링법으로 성장시킨 0.5 % Ce-doped Ba($Zr_{0.2}Ti_{0.8}$)$O_3$(BCZT) 박막의 특성분석)

  • We investigated the structural and electrical properties of Ce-doped Ba($Zr_{0.2}Ti_{0.8}$)$O_3$(BCZT) thin films with a mole fraction of x=0.2 and a thickness about 100 nm. BCZT films were prepared on Pt/Ti/$SiO_2$/Si substrate by a RF magnetron sputtering system. We have measured the thickness profile with Ar/$O_2$ ratio and the surface roughness. It was observed that the oxygen gas, which introduced during the film deposition, have an influence on the roughness of the film and the film roughness was reduced by annealing from 2.33 nm to 2.02 m (RMS at $500^{\circ}C$, Ar:6 scrim, $O_2$:6 sccm). We have found that annealing procedure after top electrode deposit can reduce the dissipation factor.

  • Sintering characteristics and electrical properties of xPb(Mg$_{1}$8/Te$_{1}$8/Mn$_{1}$4/Nb$_{1}$2/) $O_{3}$-(1-x) Pb (Zr$_{1}$2/ $Ti_{1}$2/) $O_{3}$ (x=0.075, 0.1, 0.125) ceramics are investigated. A sintering temperature of ceramics could be reduced to 950.deg. C by a reaction between PbO and B site compound material. The physical properties of 0.1Pb(Mg, Te, Mn, Nb) $O_{3}$ - 0.9Pb(Zr, Ti) $O_{3}$ bulk ceramic with 3wt% glass frit(0.857PbO-0.143W $O_{3}$) were following : den = 7.95 g/cm$^{3}$, T$_{c}$=340.deg. C, .epsilon.$_{33}$= 754, k$_{31}$=0.3 and Q.=1780. The 3-layer piezoelectric transformer by using a tape casting method showed a good monolithic structure, and its voltage setup ratio was 2.5 times higher than that of a single device by using bulk ceramics.s.s.

  • The effect of content of $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$ sintering additives on the densification behavior, mechanical and electrical properties of the pressureless-sintered $SiC-ZrB_2$ electroconductive ceramic composites was investigated. The $SiC-ZrB_2$ electroconductive ceramic composites were pressureless-sintered for 2 hours at 1,700[$^{\circ}C$] temperatures with an addition of $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$(6:4 mixture of $Al_2O_3$ and $Y_2O_3$) as a sintering aid in the range of 8${\sim}$20[wt%]. Phase analysis of $SiC-ZrB_2$ composites by XRD revealed mostly of ${\alpha}$-SiC(6H), $ZrB_2$ and In Situ YAG($Al_5Y_3O_{12}$). The relative density, flexural strength, Young's modulus and vicker's hardness showed the highest value of 89.01[%], 81.58[Mpa], 31.437[GPa] and 1.34[GPa] for $SiC-ZrB_2$ composites added with 16[wt%] $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$ additives at room temperature respectively. Abnormal grain growth takes place during phase transformation from ${\beta}$-SiC into ${\alpha}$-SiC was correlated with In Situ YAG phase by reaction between $Al_2O_3$ and $Y_2O_3$ additive during sintering. Compositional design and optimization of processing parameters are key factors for controlling and improving the properties of SiC-based electroconductive ceramic composites. In this paper, it is convinced that ${\beta}$-SiC based electroconductive ceramic composites for heaters or ignitors can be manufactured by pressureless sintering.

  • 본 연구에서는 핫프레스법으로 제작된 0.05Pb(Sn$_{1}$2/Sb$_{1}$2/)O$_{3}$-0.60PbZrO$_{3}$-0.35PbTiO$_{3}$+x[wt%]MnO$_{2}$ 세라믹스에 대해 구조적, 전기적 특성 및 탄성 표면파 특성을 조사하였다. x가 0.4인 조성을 1150[.deg.C]에서 45분간 소성한 시편의 경우 탄성표명파의 전기 기계 결합 계수 k$_{s}$ $^{2}$가 2.8[%], 기계적 품질 계수 Q$_{m}$ 이 1976으로 탄성 표면파 소자용 기판으로서 응용 가능함을 보였다.

  • We report the phase transition temperatures of the $PbZrO_3$ perovskite nanotubes made by sol-gel template synthesis. The lead zirconate($PbZrO{_3}$) nanotubes were prepared with a chelate sol-gel of zirconium tetrabutoxide($Zr(OBu){_4}$) and leadacetate($Pb(OAc){_2}-3H_2O$). $Whatman^(r)$ anodisc membranes, with a 200nm pore size, served as the template. After removing the template in the 6M-NaOH solution, the $PbZrO{_3}$ nanotubes so far have shown an anomalous transition temperature, $123.6^{\circ}C$ as measured by DSC with a small particle size, 15.4nm determined by X-ray analysis with the aid of Scherrer's equation.

  • To obtain a single phase of Ba2Ti9O20 at lower temperature than previious other researches. We investigated the effect of Zr substitution for predetermined portions of Ti in Ba2Ti9O20. In this study, the four compounds(x=0, 0.028, 0.048, 0.068) of Ba2(Ti1-xZrx)9O20 were prepared by coprecipitation reaction of BaCl2, TiCl4 and ZrOCl2 with (NH4)2CO3 and NH4OH as the coprecipitating agents and pH regulators, in queous solution. Owing to 4.8 mol% addition, the single phase of Ba2Ti9O20 showing high Q was obtained at 115$0^{\circ}C$ which is lower by 25$0^{\circ}C$ than the temperature in case of mechanical mixtures of BaCO3 and TiO2.

  • Glass in the ZrO2-SiO2 system containing up to 30mol% ZrO2 were prepared by heating the gel made from the mixed solutions of Zr(OC3H7)4 and partial hydrolysed Si(OC2H5)4. As a result, the monolith gel was made from the HCl and water content as 2.7$\times$10-3 and 8 molar ratio to alkoxide and drying temoperature as 4$0^{\circ}C$. Heating rate of dry gel maintained under 0.5$^{\circ}C$/min and heating at a temperature as 90$0^{\circ}C$ was found to be for making the transparent glass.

Effect of Al2O3-ZrO2 Composite Oxide Thickness on Electrical Properties of Etched Al Foil

  • To increase the capacitance of an Al electrolytic capacitor, the anodic oxide film, $Al_2O_3$, was partly replaced by an $Al_2O_3-ZrO_2$ (Al-Zr) composite film prepared by the vacuum infiltration method and anodization. The microstructure and composition of the prepared samples were investigated by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The coated and anodized samples showed multi-layer structures, which consisted of an inner Al hydrate layer, a middle Al-Zr composite layer, and an outer $Al_2O_3$ layer. The thickness of the coating layer could go up to 220 nm when the etched Al foil was coated 8 times. The electrical properties of the samples, such as specific capacitance, leakage current, and withstanding voltages, were also characterized after anodization at 100 V and 600 V. The capacitances of samples with $ZrO_2$ coating were 36.3% and 27.5% higher than those of samples without $ZrO_2$ coating when anodized at 100 V and 600 V, respectively.

  • Monolithic gels in the ZrO2-SiO2 system containing up to 30 mol% ZrO2 were prepared from the mixed solutions of Zr(O.nC3H7)4 and partially prehydrolyzed Si(OC2H5)4 (Tetraethyl orthosilicate) by the sol-gel method. The effect of parameters such as the hydrolysis temperature, the amount of water and HCl on the hydrolysis condensation process was investigated and the obtained gels were studied by the IR spectra and TG-DTA. The results showed that the gelation time becomes shorter with increasing content of HCl, H2O and gelation temperature, and that the polymerization was more easily completed with the higher water volume causing the elimination of unreacted organic groups.
