이온 교환수지에 의한 철 및 강의 분석에 관한 연구 (제2보). 음이온 성분의 분리 (The Study on the Separation of the Subsidiary Elements in Iron and Steel by Using Ion Exchangers (II). The Separation of Anions)

  • 음이온교환수지관(Dowex 1${\times}8,\;20cm{\times}3.14cm^2$)을 통하여 0.1M Si(IV), As(V), P(V), S(VI), W(VI), Cr(VI)의 용액을 각기 1ml씩 취하여 섞은 용액 6ml를 다음과 같은 용리액으로 용리시켜 정량적으로 분리하였다. 이때에 용리액은 Si(IV), As(V), P(V)에 대하여 0.07M 염산과 0.03M 염화나트륨을 섞은 용액(pH 1.3)을, S(VI), W(VI), Cr(VI)에 대하여 0.6M 염화나트륨과 0.3M 수산화나트륨을 섞은 용액을 사용하였다. 이때에 함께 용출된 P(V)와 As(V)의 혼합액은 아황산나트륨용액으로 처리하여 As(V)를 As(III)으로 환원시킨다음 0.1N 아황산나트륨용액(pH 3.48)으로 용리하여 분리하였다. 많은 양의 철(97% 이상)과 Si(IV), As(V), S(VI), P(V), W(VI)이 혼합된 용액은 양이온교환수지관(Dowex 50w${\times}12,\;30cm{\times}3.14cm^2$)을 통하여 디메틸술포옥시드와 질산나트륨의 혼합용리액으로 용리하여 철을 먼저 분리하고 다시 음이온들은 음이온교환수지관을 통하여 분리하였다. 철강중에 들어있는 음이온 성분들도 같은 방법으로 분리할 수 있었다.

플라즈마질화처리에 의한 13Cr 스테인리스강의 표면경화특성에 미치는 질화물형성원소첨가의 영향 (Effects of Alloying Elements on Hardening of 13Cr Stainless Steels Using Plasma Nitriding Process)

  • The surface characteristics of 13Cr stainless steel systems by plasma nitriding were investigated. The plasma nitriding for the 13Cr steels, in which the nitriding forming elements such as Ti, V, W, Nb, Al, Zr and Si were added about 2~3wt.%, respectively, was performed. In all nitrided specimens, .epsilon.-F $e_{2-3}$N, UPSILON.'-F $e_{4}$N and CrN were detected as the nitrides with the a-Fe in the nitrided layer. VN and .betha.- $W_{2}$N were also detected in 13Cr-3V and 13Cr-3W alloys. The growth of the nitrided layer was controlled by the diffusion process. The thickness of the nitrided layer was similar in the 13Cr-2Nb and 3Zr specimens to that of 13Cr(BM) specimen, while the others exhibited the thinner layer. The activation energy for the growth of the nitrided layer in the temperature range of 773-873K was about 130kJ/mol in 13Cr(BM), 13Cr-2Ti, 3W, 3Al, 3Zr and 3Si alloys. The hardness of the nitrided specimens was significantly increased above Hv1000, comparing to the non-nitrided specimen. The specimens with the nitrided forming elements revealed much higher hardness values and, especially, 13Cr-3Al, 3V and 3Si specimens were significantly hardened up to Hv1300.v1300.0.

Cr- 및 Ni- 소스/드레인 쇼트키 박막 트랜지스터의 장벽 특성에 대한 실험 및 모델링 연구 (Experimental and Simulation Study of Barrier Properties in Schottky Barrier Thin-Film Transistors with Cr- and Ni- Source/Drain Contacts)

  • By improving the conducting process of metal source/drain (S/D) in direct contact with the channel, schottky barrier metal-oxide-semiconductor field effect transistors (SB MOSFETs) reveal low extrinsic parasitic resistances, offer easy processing and allow for well-defined device geometries down to the smallest dimensions. In this work, we investigated the arrhenius plots of the SB MOSFETs with different S/D schottky barrier (SB) heights between simulated and experimental current-voltage characteristics. We fabricated SB MOSFETs using difference S/D metals such as Cr (${\Phi}_{Cr}$ ~4.5 eV) and Ni (${\Phi}_{Ni}$~5.2 eV), respectively. Schottky barrier height (${\Phi}_B$) of the fabricated devices were measured to be 0.25~0.31 eV (Cr-S/D device) and 0.16~0.18 eV (Ni-S/D device), respectively in the temperature range of 300 K and 475 K. The experimental results have been compared with 2-dimensional simulations, which allowed bandgap diagram analysis.

3%Cr-Mo-V강의 2단 가스질화처리를 통한 표면경화 및 내마모성 연구 (A Study on Wear Resistance and Surface Hardening of 3%Cr-Mo-V Steel by Two-step Gas Nitriding)

  • The two-step gas nitriding was adopted to increase the depth of surface hardening in 3%Cr-Mo-V steel. The two-step gas nitriding consisted of Step I; $520^{\circ}C{\times}20\;hrs$ and Step II; $550^{\circ}{\times}70\;hrs$. The layer of two-step gas nitriding showed better uniformity and deeper nitriding layer than one-step gas-nitriding layer. The maximum surface hardness showed the value of 850 Hv. The maximum depth of nitrogen permeation showed $750\;{\mu}m$ (350 Hv). X-ray diffraction analysis showed that compound layer was mainly consisted of CrN and $\varepsilon-Fe_3N$ phases. These phases were presumed contributing to surface hardening and wear resistance. However, the corrosion resistance of gas-nitrided Cr-Mo-V steel were not improved in the solution of 1 N HCl and NaOH. Therefore, it is necessary that the continuous study for improvement of corrosion resistance hereafter.

Cr을 첨가한 ZnO의 결함과 입계 특성 (Defects and Grain Boundary Properties of Cr-doped ZnO)

  • In this study, we investigated the effects of Cr dopant (1.0 at% $Cr_2O_3$ sintered at $1000^{\circ}C$ for 1 h in air) on the bulk trap (i.e. defect) and interface state levels of ZnO using dielectric functions ($Z^*$, $M^*$, $Y^*$, $\varepsilon^*$, and $tan{\delta}$), admittance spectroscopy (AS), and impedance-modulus spectroscopy (IS & MS). For the identification of the bulk trap levels, we examine the zero-biased admittance spectroscopy and dielectric functions as a function of frequency and temperature. Impedance and electric modulus spectroscopy is a powerful technique to characterize grain boundaries of electronic ceramic materials as well. As a result, three kinds of bulk defect trap levels were found below the conduction band edge of ZnO in 1.0 at% Cr-doped ZnO (Cr-ZnO) as 0.11 eV, 0.21 eV, and 0.31 eV. The overlapped defect levels ($Zn^{..}_i$ and $V^{\cdot}_0$) in admittance spectra were successfully separated by the combination of dielectric function such as $M^*$, $\varepsilon^*$, and $tan{\delta}$. In Cr-ZnO, the interfacial state level was about 1.17 eV by IS and MS. Also we measured the resistance ($R_{gb}$) and capacitance ($C_{gb}$) of grain boundaries with temperature using impedance-modulus spectroscopy. It have discussed about the stability and homogeneity of grain boundaries using distribution parameter ($\alpha$) simulated with the Z"-logf plots with temperature.

가역 투자율 측정에 의한 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V 강의 열화도 평가 (Degradation Evaluation of 1Cr-lMo-0.25V Steel by Measuring Reversible Magnetic Permeability)

  • 고온에서 운용 중인 설비의 안전성을 평가하기 위해서는 사용기간동안 열화된 재료의 물성을 측정하여야 한다. 실제 사용되고 있는 화력발전소 터빈의 로터에서 열화도가 다른 여러 종류의 시편을 입수하기 어렵기 때문에, 터빈 로터재로 널리 사용되고 있는 1Cr-1Mo-0.25V 강을 인공열화시켜 시편으로 사용하였다 열화도의 비파괴적 평가를 위하여 교류 섭동 자기장을 인가하여 가역 투자율을 측정하는 자기적 방법을 사용하였다. 열화도의 증가에 따라 경도와 가역 투자율 피크 사이의 간격은 감소하였는데, 경도와 가역 투자율 피크 간격과의 선형관계를 이용하여 비파괴적으로 터빈 로터강의 열화도를 평가할 수 있는 기초를 마련하였다.
