Study on Mechanical and Thermal Properties of Tio2/Epoxy Resin Nanocomposites

  • The purpose of this study was to improve the properties of epoxy resin using titanium oxide nanoparticles. The effects of particle weight fraction, dispersion agent, and curing agents with different molecular weights on the thermal and mechanical properties of titanium-oxide-reinforced epoxy resin were investigated. In addition, the effect of the particle dispersion condition on the mechanical properties of nanocomposites was studied. As a result, it was found that the glass transition temperature of film-shaped nanocomposites decreased with an in-crease in the nanoparticle content. Because nanoparticles interrupted the cross linkage between the epoxy resin and the amine curing agent, the cross-link density of the epoxy became lower and led to a decrease in $T_g$ in the nanocompo-sites. The tensile strength and modulus in film-shaped nanocomposites also increased with the particles content. But in the case of dog-bone-shaped nanocomposites, the values were not similar to the trend for the film-shaped nanocompo-sites. This was probably a result of the different nanoparticles dispersions in the epoxy resins resulting from the respective-thicknesses of the film and dog-bone-shaped samples.

  • An alkoxide-based sol-gel method was used to fabricate $Ba_{0.6}Sr_{0.4}TiO_{3}$thin films doped by Bi from 5 to 20 mol% on a Pt/Ti/$SiO_2$/Sisubstrate. The structural and dielectric properties of BST thin films were investigated as a function of Bi dopant concentration. The dielectric properties of the Bi doped BST films were strongly dependent on the Bi contents. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the films decreased with increasing Bi content. However, the leakage current density of the 10 mol% Bi doped $Ba_{0.6}Sr_{0.4}TiO_{3}$ thin film showed the lowest value of 5.13$\times 10^{-7} A/{cm}^2$ at 5 V. The figure of merit (FOM) reached a maximum value of 32.42 at a 10 mol% Bi doped $Ba_{0.6}Sr_{0.4}TiO_{3}$thin films. The dielectric constant, loss factor, and tunability of the 10 mol% Bi doped $Ba_{0.6}Sr_{0.4}Tio_{3}$ thin films were 333, 0.0095, and 31.1%, respectively.

옥외용 고분자 절연재료의 자외선 열화특성 연구 (A Study on the Ultraviolet Aging Characteristics of Outdoor Polymeric Insulating Materials)

  • Recently, the polymeric insulators have been accepted in several countries for the outdoor high voltage applications. In comparison with the conventional porcelain, polymeric insulators offer various advantages such as light weight, superior vandal resistance and better contamination performance. The outdoor polymeric insulating materials such as silicone rubber, ethylene propylene diene monomer(EPDM), ethylene vinyl acetate(EVA) and epoxy are aged such as silicone rubber, ethylene propylene diene monomer(EPDM), ethylene vinyl acetate(EVA) and epoxy are aged under the various natural environment with the long-term performance in outdoor. In this paper, the effects of UV-under the various natural environment with the long-term performance in outdoor. In this paper, the effects of UV-ray on the surface of silicone rubber were investigated by using the weather-Ometer. The accelerated aging stresses were simulated by UV radiation, high temperature and humidity as well as water spray. These aging characteristics were examined through contact angle measurements, tracking resistance test, FT-IR and SEM/EDS analysis. The experimental results showed that tracking resistance decreases with increase in the UV-ray irradiation period. But the surface of silicone rubber kept hydrophobicity. It is found that the inorganic filler such as)$ Al(OH_3$ improves tracking resistance and the $Tio_2$is very effective in preventing degradation of silicone rubber surface from UV-ray.

금 나노미립자가 함침된 $TiO_2/SiO_2$ 박막의 광학적 성질 (Optical Property of Au-doped $TIO_2/SiO_2$ thin film)

  • 표면공명흡수는 매질의 유전상수값에 의존한다. 금 나노미립자가 함침된 $TiO_2/SiO_2$ 복합산화물 박막을 $Ti(OPr^i)_4$$Si(OEt)_4$, 그리고 $HAuCl_4{\cdot}7H_2O$를 사용하여 졸-겔 방법으로 제조하였다. $TiO_2/SiO_2$ 박막에 함침된 금 나노미립자의 최대 표면 공명 흡수는 $TiO_2/SiO_2$의 몰비에 따라 540 nm에서 615 nm 까지 선형적으로 변하였다. 이러한 박막에 함침된 금 나노미립자의 크기와 구조를 TEM과 XRD로 측정하였다. 그리고 $TiO_2/SiO_2$ 박막의 유전상수값을 실험 data로부터 이론적으로 계산하였다

  • 마이크로파 유전체로 응용되는 $xCaTiO_3-La(Zn_{1/2}Ti_{1/2})O_3$계의 소결시 고용조성 변화(x=0.4-0.6) 및 소결거동에 따른 유전특성에 조사하였다. 소결밀도가 감소함에 따라 유전상수는 감소하였으며 품질계수(Q)는 증가하다 일정한 값을 유지하였다. 고용체형의 경우 유전상수는 $CaTiO_3$조성 증가에 따라 증가하였다. $0.5\;CaTIO_3\;0.5\;La(Zn_{1/2}Ti_{1/2})O_3$의 경우 유전상수 48, 온도계수는 $-1ppm/^{\circ}C$를 나타내었다.

반응결합 강화 알루미나세라믹스의 제조에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Fabrication of Reinforced Reaction Bonded Alumina Ceramics)

  • The reaction bonded alumina ceramics with reinforced particles which have low shrinkage were pro-duced by blending of SiC or TiC or ZrO2 powders to the mixture of Al metal and Al2O3 powder. The powd-ers were attrition milled isostantically pressed and preheated tio 110$0^{\circ}C$ with a heating rate of $1.5^{\circ}C$/min The specimens were then sintered at the temperature range 1500 to 1$600^{\circ}C$ for 5 hours with a heating rate of 5$^{\circ}C$/min. The specimens showed 5-9% weight gain and 2-9% dimensional expansion through the complete oxidation of Al after preheating up to 11--$^{\circ}C$ the overall dimensional change of the specimens after the reaction sintering at 1500-1$600^{\circ}C$ was 6-12% The maximum densities were 92% theoretical. The fine grain-ed(average grain size :0.4 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$) microstructure were observed in the specimen with ZrO2 and SiC. But the microstructure of specimen with TiC was relatively coarse.(average grain size : 2.1 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$) The mullite phase was formed by the reaction of Al2O3 and SiO2 in a specimen with SiC. In the TiC contained specimen TiC was oxidized into TiO2 and finally reacted with Al2O3 to form Al2TiO5 during sintering.

Ag-Cu-Ti 브레이징 합금의 산화거동 (Oxidation Behavior of Ag-Cu-Tio Brazing Alloys)

  • Ag-36.8a%Cu-7.4at%Ti 조성의 브레이징 합금을 Si3N4 기판위에 브레이징한 후 브레이징 합금의 산화거동을 대기중 400, 500, 600$^{\circ}C$에서 조사하였다. 브레이징 합금의 구성원소인 Ag는 산화되지 않고 Cu와 Ti가 산화되며, 산화거동은 포물선적 산화법칙을 따랐다. 브레이징 합금의 산화에 따른 활성화에너지는 80kj/ mol 으로서 소량 첨가된 활성원소인 Ti에 의하여 순수한 Cu의 산화시 활성화에너지보다 감소하였다. 산화 초기에 생성되는 외부산화물은 Cu이온의 외부확산에 의해 성장이 지배되는 Cu산화물로 구성되어 있었다. 산화기간이 경과함에 따라 외부산화물층 아래에서 Cu의 농도는 감소되고 Ag의 농도는 증가하는 농도구배가 발생하여, 브레이징 합금의 산화물은 Cu산화물층(CuO)/Ag잉여층/Cu산화물층(Cu2O)/Ag잉여층의 다층구조를 갖았다. 또한, 분위기중의 산소는 Cu산화물 및 Ag잉여층을 통해 브레이징 합금 내부로 확산되어 브레이징 합금내의 Ti와 반응하여 내부산화물 TiO2를 생성하였다.

이산화티탄 광촉매의 효율적 적용을 위한 LEFC 블록 제작에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Light Emotion Friendly Concrete Block for Efficient Application of Titan-oxide Photocatalyst)

  • 본 연구에서는 빛 감성친화형 콘크리트에 광촉매를 적용하여 대기질 및 실내공기질을 개선하기 위한 LEFC 블록을 개발하고자 하였다. LEFC에 광촉매를 적용하게 되면 자외선 입사면 반대편에서도 투과로 인한 자외선이 존재하여 광촉매가 반응함으로써 일반 건축 자재를 적용한 경우보다 광촉매 반응효율이 크게 상승한다. 따라서 광촉매를 LEFC에 적용하기 위해 슬럼프, J-ring, L-box 테스트를 통한 자기충전성능을 평가하여 최적 배합을 결정하였고, 압축 및 휨 강도 시험을 통해 역학성능을 평가하였다. 그리고 TiO2 분포도를 확인하기 위해 SEM과 EDS 분석을 실시하였다. ALC골재와 단열재 적용으로 광촉매 사용량을 줄이고 단위중량을 감소시키는 방안을 활용하여 광촉매 효율을 증가시키는 빛투과 콘크리트 블록을 제작하였고, 향후 건조수축 등의 문제점 개선 및 NOx 제거 실험을 통한 LEFC 블록 성능 평가를 진행하고자 한다.

Association of Benign Prostate Hyperplasia with Polymorphisms in VDR, CYP17, and SRD5A2 Genes among Lebanese Men

  • Background: The aim of the study was to investigate any associations between benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) and single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the VDR gene (FokI, BsmI, ApaI and Taq${\alpha}$I loci) and the CYP17 gene (MspA1I locus), as well as TA repeat polymorphism in SRD5A2 gene among Lebanese men. Materials and Methods: DNA extracted from blood of 68 subjects with confirmed BPH and 79 age-matched controls was subjected to PCR/PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism analysis. The odds ra=tio (OR) of having a genotype and the relative risk (RR) of developing BPH for having the genotype were calculated and the alleles were designated risk-bearing or protective. Results: Our data indicated that the A and B alleles of the VDR ApaI and BsmI SNPs were highly associated with increased risk of BPH (p=0.0168 and 0.0002, respectively). Moreover, 63% of the controls compared to 43% of the subjects with BPH were homozygous for none of the risk-bearing alleles (p=0.0123) whereas 60% of the controls and 28% of the subjects with BPH were homozygous for two or more protective alleles (p<0.0001). Conclusions: For the first time, our study demonstrated that ApaI and BsmI of the VDR gene are associated with risk of BPH among Lebanese men. Our study also indicated that overall polymorphism profile of all the genes involved in prostate physiology could be a better predictor of BPH risk.

클링커 광물 함량 변화시 Modified belite Cement의 특성 (Properties of Modified Belite Cement with the Content of Clinker Minerals)

  • 천연 원료인 석회석, 규석, bauxite, 무수석고를 이용하여 belite계 시멘트의 한 종류인 고기능성의 modified belite cement를 제조하고자 $C_4A_3{\={S}}$에 비해 $C_2S$의 함량이 상대적으로 많은 두가지 클링커를 합성하였다. 주광물 $C_2S$는, 고온형의 ${\alpha}'-C_2S$를 상온까지 안정화시켜서 수화시 활성을 높이기 위해 붕사($Na_2O\;2B_2O_3{\cdot}10H_2O$)를 첨가하였다. 붕사의 첨가량을 변화시켜 각 클링커의 소성과 수화특성을 비교하고, 이들을 시멘트로 제조할 때 무수석고의 함량을 변화시켜 강도 증진에 기여하는 적정 석고 혼합량을 구하고자 하였다. 그 결과, $C_2S$의 함량을 60 wt.%로 목적할 때, ${\alpha}'-C_2S$로 안정화시키기 위한 붕사의 첨가량은 5 wt.%가 효과적이었으며, 시멘트 제조시 $SO_3/Al_3O_3$ 비가 1.3이 되도록 무수석고를 첨가한는 것이 적절하였다. 붕사가 없는 경우 수화 초기에 ettringite만이 강도에 기여하는 반면 봉사를 첨가하면 수화 초기에 ettringite와 함게 C-S-H 수화물이 생성되었음을 알 수 있었다.
