Direct Conversion of Cellulose into Polyols over Pt/CsxH3-xPW12O40

  • 다른 분율의 Cs이 포함된 Pt/$Cs_xH_{3-x}PW_{12}O_{40}$ 촉매를 제조하여 셀룰로우스의 폴리올로의 수소화분해반응를 수행하였다. 촉매의 비표면적과 Pt의 분산도는 Pt/$Cs_xH_{3-x}PW_{12}O_{40}$ 촉매의 Cs 함량이 증가함에 따라 증가하였다. 그러나 Pt/$Cs_xH_{3-x}PW_{12}O_{40}$ 촉매의 Cs의 함량이 변함에도 불구하고 비슷한 폴리올 수득률을 보였다. Pt/$Cs_xH_{3-x}PW_{12}O_{40}$ 촉매의 반응 활성은 Ni/W/SBA-15와 두 가지의 복합촉매(Pt/AC+$H_3PW_{12}O_{40}$과 Pt/AC+$Cs_{3.0}PW_{12}O_{40}$)와 비슷하였다. 이 반응을 진행하는 동안 Pt/$Cs_xH_{3-x}PW_{12}O_{40}$ 촉매로부터 헤테로폴리 음이온이 침출되는 것을 확인하였다.

전극 촉매 Pt-Ni 및 Pt-Co를 이용한 수전해용 공유가교 CL-SPEEK/HPA 막전극의 특성 (Characteristics of CL-SPEEK/HPA Membrane Electrodes with Pt-Ni and Pt-Co Electrocatalysts for Water Electrolysis)

  • The electrocatalystic prperties of Pt-Co and Pt-Ni with heteropolyacids (HPAs) entrapped in covalently cross-linked sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) (CL-SPEEK)/HPA membranes were investigated for water electrolysis. The HP As, including molybdophosphoric acid (MoPA), and tungstophosphoric acid (TPA) were both used as membrane additives and electrocatalysts. The membrane electrode assembly (MEA) was prepared by a nonequilibrium impregnation-reduction (I-R) method. $Pt(NH_3)_4Cl_2$, $NiCl_2$ and $CoCl_2$ as electrocatalytic materials and $NaBH_4$ as reducing agent were used. I order to enhance electrocatalytic activity, the catalyst layer prepared above was electrodeposited (Dep) with HP A. Surface morphologies and physico-chemical properties of MEA were investigated by means of SEM, EDX and XRD. The electrocatalytic properties of composite membranes such as the cell voltage and coulombic charge in CV were in the order of magnitude: CL-SPEEK/MoPA40 (wt%) > CL-SPEEK/TPA30 > Nafion117. In the optimum cell applications for water electrolysis, the cell voltage of Pt/CL-SPEEK-MoPA40/Pt-Co (Dep-MoPA) and Pt/CL-SPEEK-TPA30/Pt-Co (Dep-TPA) was 1.75 Vat $80^{\circ}C$ and $1\;A/cm^2$ and voltage efficiency was 87.1%. Also, the observed activity of Pt-Co (84:16 atomic ratio by EDX) is a little higher than that of Pt-Ni (86: 14). The current density peak of electrodeposited electrodes were better a little than those of unactivated electrodes based on the same membranes.

Pt, Ni, Cr이 도포된 튜브형 SnO2 나노섬유의 합성과 가스 감응특성 (Preparation of Pt-, Ni- and Cr-Decorated SnO2 Tubular Nanofibers and Their Gas Sensing Properties)

  • The Pt-, Ni- and Cr-decorated tubular $SnO_2$ nanofibers for gas sensors were prepared by the electrospinning of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) nanofibers containing Pt, Ni, and Cr precursors, the sputtering of $SnO_2$ on the electrospun PVP nanofibers, and the removal of sacrificial PVP parts by heat treatment at $600^{\circ}C$ for 2 h. Pt-decorated tubular $SnO_2$ nanofibers showed high response ($R_a/R_g=210.5$, $R_g$: resistance in gas, $R_a$: resistance in air) to 5 ppm $C_2H_5OH$ at $350^{\circ}C$ with negligible cross-responses to other interference gases (5 ppm trimethylamine, $NH_3$, HCHO, p-xylene, toluene and benzene). Cr-decorated tubular $SnO_2$nanofibers showed the selective detection of p-xylene at $400^{\circ}C$. In contrast, no significant selectivity to a specific gas was found in Ni-decorated tubular $SnO_2$ nanofibers. The selective and sensitive detection of gases using Pt-decorated and Cr-decorated tubular $SnO_2$ nanofibers were discussed in relation to the catalytic promotion of gas sensing reaction.

Chemical Bonding and Surface Electronic Structures of Pt3Co (111), Pt3Ni (111) Single Crystals

  • With angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES), the surface electronic band structures of Pt3Co (111) and Pt3Ni (111) single crystals are investigated, which allow to study the bonding interaction between chemically absorbed atomic oxygen and its surfaces. The d-band electrons of subsurface TM are separated from the direct chemical bonding with atomic oxygen. That is, the TM does not contribute to direct chemical bonding with oxygen. From the density functional theory (DFT) calculations, it is identified that the main origin of improved oxygen absorption property, i.e. softening of Pt-O bonding, is due to the suppression of Pt surface-states which is generated from change of interlayer potential, i.e. charge polarization, between Pt-top and TM-subsurface. Our results point out the critical roles of subsurface TM in modifying surface electronic structures, which in turn can be utilized to tune surface chemical properties.

  • 디포스핀을 포함한 몇가지 $d^8$ 전이금속착물$(MCl_2PP)$은 출발물질 $K_nMCl_m$을 사용하여 합성하였다. 중심금속(M)은 Ni(II), Pd(II), Pt(II), Au(III)이며, 디포스핀(PP)은 bis(diphenylphosphino)methane(dppm), bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane(dppe), bis(diphenylphosphino)propane (dppp) 및 bis(diphenylphosphino)ethylene(dppety)이었다. 착물의 조성이나 특성은 원소분석과 $^1H-NMR$, $^{31}P-NMR$ 및 UV-Visible 스펙트럼을 이용하여 확인하였다. 이들 착물의 촉매적 활성은 3(2H)-furanone 및 cyclic carbonate 생성반응에 대하여 각각 조사하였다. 2-methyl-3-butyn-2-ol로부터 생성물 3(2H)-furanone을 얻은 반응 (1)에서 Ni(II)-, Pd(II)-diphosphine 착물은 좋은 촉매적 효과를 나타내었다. 그러나 이들 diphosphine 착물들은 cyclic carbonate 생성반응 (2)에 대해 촉매제로서의 활성을 거의 나타내지 않았다.

  • In this paper, $0.10Pb(Sb_{1/2}Sn_{1/2})O_3-0.25PbTiO_3-0.65PbZrO_3$ ceramics were fabricated by the mixed-oxide method. The sintering temperature and time were $1230^{\circ}C$ and 2[hr], respectively. The structural, dielectric and piezoelectric properties with addition of NiO were studied. The crystal structure of a specimen was rhombohedral. As a result of SEM, the average grain size were decreased with increasing the contents of NiO. But the grains of the specimens doped with 0.4wt% NiO were increased, due to deposits of excess NiO at grain boundaries in the liquid phase. Relative dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the specimen doped with 0.1wt% NiO were 701 and 0.026, respectively.

  • Pb($(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_3-PbTiO_3-PbZrO_3$세라믹스에서 NiO첨가에 따른 유전, 압전 및 기계적 특성의 변화를 연구하였다. Columbite precursor법을 사용하여 분말을 제조 후 공기중에서 $1100^{\circ}C$~$1250^{\circ}C$의 온도로 2시간 소결하여 시편을 제조하였다. $1150^{\circ}C$이하 온도에서 소결한 시편에서는 NiO를 1 mol% 첨가시까지 유전상수와 압전상수가 증가하였으나 첨가량이 그 이상 증가함에 따라 감소하였는데 이는 NiO가 소결조제 역할을 한 것으로 보여진다. 그러나 $1200^{\circ}C$ 이상 온도에서 소결한 시편에서는 NiO 첨가량 증가에 따라 유전상수와 전기기계결합계수가 감소하였으며, 기계적품질계수는 증가하였다. 경도 및 파괴인성은 1 mol% 첨가시 최대 값을 보이다가 그 이후 감소하였다. NiO 첨가 PNN-PT-PZ 세라믹스의 전기적 및 기계적 특성은 결정립크기, 소결밀도 및 2차상의 양 등의 미세구조적 요소와 긴밀한 관계가 있음을 보여준다.

촉매 연소기용 촉매의 내구 성능 향상 연구 (Improvement of Durability Performance of Catalysts for a Catalytic Combustor)

  • The aim of this study is to improve the durability performance of catalysts for a catalytic combustor and to obtain operating conditions for stable combustion of the catalytic combustor. It was attempted to improve the durability of the catalysts by adding a promoter in order to reduce the cost of replacing Pt catalyst while maintaining stability. The main catalyst used in the study was Pt and the promoters were Ni and La. Pure Pt3/γ-Al2O3 catalyst without promoter was promoted to fast sintering states under harsh conditions and catalytic combustion was turned off, whereas the catalysts added La, Ni as promoter were showed relatively slow sintering states. It can be concluded that the promoter La, Ni effectively contributes to the improvement of the durability of the Pt catalyst, and it is possible to get longer durability and more stable duration than the conventional catalytic combustor.

Study of the Optimal Calcination Temperature of an Al/Co/Ni Mixed Metal Oxide as a DeNOx Catalyst for LNT

  • 대부분의 LNT 촉매는 낮은 온도 영역에서의 NOx 산화를 위하여 Pt와 같은 귀금속류를 사용하는 것은 경제적인 부담을 가지고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 시도되었다. 즉, Pt, Pd, Rh 등과 같은 귀금속류(platinum group metal, PGM)를 사용하지 않는 LNT (lean NOx trap)용 DeNOx 촉매를 개발하기 위해 시도하였다. 이를 위해서 예비실험을 통해 Pt등 귀금속류등의 PGM (platinum group metal)을 사용하지 않는 Al/Co/Ni 혼합 금속 산화물을 선정하였다. 궁극적으로는, 선정된 촉매의 소성온도에 따른 물리화학적 특성 변화가 NOx 전환율에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이들의 물리화학적인 성질을 평가하기 위해 XRD, EDS, SEM, BET 분석을 실시하였다. 이러한 평가를 실시한 결과, 모든 소성온도에서 혼합금속 산화물은 Co2AlO4 및 NiAl2O4의 스피넬 구조가 혼재되어 있는 것으로 나타났고, NOx 기체들의 산화-환원 반응이 이루어지기에는 충분한 기공부피와 기공크기를 갖고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 NH3-TPD 분석 결과에서는 소성온도가 700 ℃ 이하를 유지해야 하는 것으로 판단되었다. 더욱이 ramp test를 통해서는 NO 및 NOx 전환율을 동시에 만족할 수 있는 시료는 소성온도는 500 ℃에서 처리된 경우임을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과 등을 바탕으로, Al/Co/Ni=1.0/2.5/0.3 혼합 금속 산화물의 최적 소성온도는 500 ℃임을 알 수 있었다.

Synthesis and Characterization of a Pt/NiO/Pt Heterostructure for Resistance Random Access Memory

  • We examined the electrical properties and microstructure of NiO produced using a sol-gel method and Ni nitrate hexahydrate ($Ni[NO_3]_2{\cdot}6H_2O$) to investigate if this NiO thin film can be used as an insulator layer for resistance random access memory (ReRAM) devices. It was found that as-prepared NiO film was polycrystalline and presented as the nonstoichiometric compound $Ni_{1+x}O$ with Ni interstitials (oxygen vacancies). Resistances-witching behavior was observed in the range of 0~2 V, and the low-resistance state and high-resistance state were clearly distinguishable (${\sim}10^3$ orders). It was also demonstrated that NiO could be patterned directly by KrF eximer laser irradiation using a shadow mask. NiO thin film fabricated by the sol-gel method does not require any photoresist or vacuum processes, and therefore has potential for application as an insulating layer in low-cost ReRAM devices.
