  • 示差熱曲線으로 二酸化망간의 各變態를 分析化學的인 面에서 檢討하였다. 各變態의 轉移溫度는 ${\alpha},{\beta}-MnO_2$인 경우 $580^{\circ}C∼650^{\circ}C$였고, ${\gamma}-MnO_2$인 경우 $405^{\circ}C~605^{\circ}C$, ${\delta}-MnO_2$인 경우 $860^{\circ}C~875^{\circ}C$였으며 吸熱 peak를 나타냈다. 轉移가 完結되는 회복點의 溫度는 試料의 量에 따라서 달랐으나 $T_{max}$點의 溫度는 거의 一定하였다. peak의 모양은 ${\alpha},{\beta}-MnO_2$${\gamma}-MnO_2$는 작고 완만하였으며 ${\delta}-MnO_2$는 크고 예민하였다.

제조공정에 따른 MnO2산화물 전극의 전기화학적 특성 (Electrochemical Characteristics of MnO2 Electrodes as a function of Manufacturing Process)

  • Dimensionally stable anode(DSA) can be used for the hydro-metallurgy of non-ferrous metals like as Zn, and the electrolysis of sea water. MnO$_2$ electrode satisfies the requirements of DSA, and has a good cycle life and a low overpotential for oxygen evolution. MnO$_2$ electrodes based on Ti matrix were prepared by using thermal decomposition method and also MnO$_2$ was coated on Ti and Pb matrix with DMF and PVDF compositions. The MnO$_2$ electrodes prepared by thermal decomposition method had very weak adhesive strength onto Ti matrix and MnO$_2$ layer was removed out so that electrochemical properties for MnO$_2$ were not investigated. The viscosity of solvent used as a binder of MnO$_2$ Powder increased with the increasing PVDF contents. The thickness of the MnO$_2$ layer on Pb matrix in DSA, which was prepared with 5 times dipping at the solution mixed with PVDF : DMF = 1 : 9, was 150${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. When the ratio of PVDF to MnO$_2$ was lower than 1 : 6, the Pb electrode didn't show any reaction irrespective of the concentrations of DMF. However, When the ratio of PVDF to MnO$_2$ was higher than 1: 6, the Pb electrode showed constant current reactions and homogeneous cyclic voltammetry even though at a high cycle. The reason for the high current and homogeneous cyclic voltammetry is the good catalytic reactions of MnO$_2$ powder in electrode.

  • Orthorhombic $LiMnO_2$(o-$LiMnO_2$) has attracted public attentions as a cathode materials of Lithium ion battery because it has low cost and high theoretical discharge capacity of 285mAh $g^{-1}$. In our study, o-$LiMnO_2$ is synthesized by quenching method. To verify their phase structure, X-ray diffraction is accomplished. Test cells are assembled to check electrochemical characteristics using acquired o-$LiMnO_2$ cathode and carbon anode. Charge/Discharge cycling was carried out for 50cycles. And impedance was measured at 1, 2, 5, 10, 30, 50cycle. During cycle test, the max discharge capacity was recorded 139mAh $g^{-1}$ at 10cycle.

  • 중공형 구형 탄소(hollow carbon spheres, HCS) 또는 구형 탄소(carbon spheres, CS)는 수열합성법에 의해 제조되었고 $MnO_2$를 증착하기 위한 탄소 지지체로 사용하였다. $MnO_2$는 화학적 레독스 증착법에 의해 HCS 또는 CS 표면에 증착하였다. 화학적 산화환원 증착법은 미립자 지지체의 표면에 다른 산화물 합성에 특히 효과적이다. $MnO_2$는 HCS 또는 CS의 표면에 일정한 슬릿 모양의 분포를 보였고 HCS 표면에서 보다 엉성한 슬릿 모양의 $MnO_2$ 입자가 생성되었다. $MnO_2-HCS$$20mv\;s^{-1}$의 스캔 속도에서 초기 사이클에서 약 $164.1F\;g^{-1}$의 정전용량을 나타내었고 1000 사이클 후에는 약 $141.3F\;g^{-1}$의 정전용량을 나타내었다. 1000 사이클 기준으로 $MnO_2-HCS$$MnO_2-CS$는 각각 86%와 78%의 용량유지율을 나타내었다. 이것은 HCS 표면에서 엉성한 슬릿모양의 $MnO_2$의 성장이 전해질의 흐름 및 전해질 내의 $Na^+$ 이온의 흡탈착이 보다 용이하여 나타난 결과로 생각된다.

  • The layered lithium-manganese oxide ($Li_2MnO_3$) as a cathode material of lithium ion secondary batteries was prepared and characterized the physico-chemical and electrochemical properties. The morphological and structural changes of MnO(OH) and $Li_2MnO_3$ are closely connected to the changes of electrochemical properties. The crystallinity of $Li_2MnO_3$ is enhanced as the annealing temperature increase, but its capacity is reduced due to the easier structural changes of less crystalline $Li_2MnO_3$ than highly crystalline one. Moreover, the addition of buffer material such as MnO(OH) into cathode causes to reduce the morphological and structural changes of layered $Li_2MnO_3$ and increase the discharge capacity and cycleability.

반응몰비에 따른 다공성 CuO/MnO2의 제조 및 특성 연구 (Study on the production of porous CuO/MnO2 using the mix proportioning method and their properties)

  • 본 연구는 상온에서 과망간산칼륨 (KMnO4)과 망간아세테이트 (Mn(CH3COO)2·4H2O) 수용액을 반응시켜 초산구리 (Cu(CH3COO)2·H2O) 수용액을 공침한 다공성 CuO/MnO2 촉매에 대한 물리화학적 특성에 대해 분석하였다. 합성방법은 KMnO4과 Mn(CH3COO)2·4H2O의 반응 몰비율을 0.3:1, 0.6:1, 1:1로 반응시켜 초산구리 수용액을 망간아세테이트 투입량 대비 10~75 wt%로 공침시켜 구리이온을 담지시켰다. 제조된 촉매는 TGA/DTA, XRD, SEM 및 BET를 통해 촉매에 대한 물리화학적 특성을 분석하였고, 그 결과 반응 몰비율 변화에 따라 γ-MnO2, α-MnO2로 상변이가 이루어 졌으며, 반응 몰비율이 0.6:1 일 때 비표면적이 253 m2/g을 갖는 다공성 CuO/γ-MnO2 촉매가 제조되었다.

  • Oxide of the form $Mn_{3}O_{4}-NiO-Fe_{2}O_{3}$ present properties that make them useful as multilayer chip NTC thermistor for mobile phone NTC thermistor electric properties of $Mn_{3}O_{4}-NiO-Fe_{2}O_{3}$ system has been measured as a function of temperature and composition. In $Mn_{3}O_{4}-NiO-Fe_{2}O_{3}$ composition, it can be seen that resistivity and B-constant were increased as the ratio of $Mn_{3}O_{4}/F_{2}O_{3}$ and $Mn_{3}O_{4}$/NiO was increased. In particular, resistance change ratio (${\Delta}R$), the important factor for reliability varied within ${\pm}1%$, indicating the compositions of these products could be available for mobile phone.

  • Effects of MnO2 addition ranged from 0.0wt% to 5.0wt% on the microstructure and dielectric and piezoelectric properties of the Pb(Zr0.52 Ti0.48)O3 Ceramics have been investigated. The solubility limit of MnO2 in Pb(Zr0.52 Ti0.48)O3 is about 0.5wt%, and MnO2 as a valence state of Mn3+ is substituted for (Zr, Ti) lattice site in PZT solid-solution. The addition of MnO2 up to 0.5wt% in Pb(Zr0.52 Ti0.48)O3 brings increase of density, but decreased of grain size and tetragonality. Dielectric constant slightly decreases, but both coupling factor(Kp) and mechanical quality factor(Qm) increase with the addition of MnO2. However, excess amount of MnO2 addition more than 0.75wt% results in rapid decrease of resistance. Dielectric constant and tan $\delta$ increase due to the second phase and inhomogeneous Mn distribution.

  • Crystallized $LiMn_{2-y}Mg_{y}O_4$ powder was prepared by calcing the mixture of LiOH.$H_2O$, $MnO_2$ and MgO at $800^{\circ}C$ for 36h in an air atmosphere. The structure of $LiMn_{2-y}Mg_{y}O_4$ crystallites was analyzed from powder X-ray diffraction data as a cubic spinel, space group Fd3m. Though all cathode material showed spinel phase based on cubic phase in X-ray diffraction, other peaks gradually exhibited and became intense with increasing y value in $LiMn_{2-y}Mg_{y}O_4$. However, ununiform which calculated by (111) face and (222) face was constant in spite of the increase of y value, except pure $LiMn_2O_4$. AC impedance of Li/$LiMn_{2-y}Mg_{y}O_4$ cells revealed the similar resistance of about $70\Omega$ before cycling. In addition, The impedance of Li/$LiMn_{1.9}Mg_{0.1}O_4$ cell changed during charge and discharge or after cycling.

  • $Zn_{2}SiO_{4}$:Mn green phosphors doped with Mg for PDP were synthesized by solid state reaction method. $Zn_{2}SiO_{4}$:Mn, Mg phosphors with increasing Mg concentration were changed from Rhombohedral to Orthorhombic structure. Photoluminescence intensity of $Zn_{2}SiO_{4}$:Mn phosphors doped with Mg 0.5 mol was definitely higher than that of Mg non-doped sample. The enhanced luminescence with doping Mg in the $Zn_{2}SiO_{4}$:Mn phosphors was interpreted by the increase of energy transfer from host to Mn ions with substitution Mg for Zn in the $Zn_{2}SiO_{4}$:Mn host.
