$^{188}He$을 이용한 혈관내 방사선 치료시 시술자의 방사선 피폭 수준 (Radiation Exposure of Operator in Intracoronary Radiotherapy Using $^{188}Re$)

  • 현재 서울대학교병원에서 진행중인 연구의 일환으로 혈관 내 방사선치료 시 시술자의 방사선피폭 정도 및 위험성에 대해 알아보고자 연구를 시행하였다. 심장혈관 폐색으로 연구에 포함되어 방사선치료른 시행 받은 42명의 환자 중 측정이 완벽한 34명의 자료를 토대로 분석을 시행하였다. 혈관내 방사선치료는 관상동맥성형술 직후 풍선도자법을 이용하여 대상 동맥의 중막에 17 Gy를 조사하였다. 사용된 동위원소는 $^{188}Re$이었으며 GM측정기로 각기 다른 8점에서 피폭선량을 측정하였다. 환자의 심장부위에서 10cm, 40cm 떨어진 지점을 시술자의 최대피폭량, 전신피폭량의 기준으로 삼았다. 치료선량의 중앙값은 111.6 mCi이었고 중앙치료시간은 576초였다. 환자 심장부위에서 l0cm, 40cm 지점의 평균 피폭 선량율은 0.43 mSv/hr, 0.30 mSv/hr 이었고, 각 지점에서의 시술 당 평균 피폭 선량은 0.07 mSv, 0.05 mSv 이었다. 이 수치는 ICRP-60나 과학기술부 고시에서 권고하고 있는 한계 피폭선량보다 훨씬 적은 값으로 현재 저울대학교병원에서 시행하고 있는 혈관내 방사선 치료법은 방사선방어 면에서 매우 안전한 방법임을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • This paper investigated and evaluated the NASA's Shuttle Imaging Radar-C (SIR-C) multiple frequency SAR data for differential backscattering effects of microwave from the surface geological materials overlying the skarn type mineralization. Although an integrated approach in mineral exploration is more cost effective and is well in use, there are still many technical and scientific issues to be further investigated and researched. In this study we have reprocessed several sets of previously surveyed exploration data and experimented with fuzzy logic digital fusion of the preprocessed data with respect to chosen exploration targets. Among the numerous fuzzy logic operators, which are currently available for a data driven integrated exploration strategy, we used varying combinations of fuzzy MIN, fuzzy MAX, and fuzzy SUM operators along with Gamma operator for fusion of exploration data, including the contact metamorphic zone information. The final exploration target tested was a skarn type W-Mo-F mineralization in the study area. The fuzzy logic derived mineral potential anomaly almost exactly matched the differential backscattering anomalies on the C-band and L-band SIR_C data when overlaid on each other. Although this high degree of correlation between these two data sets is remarkable, the differential backscattering anomaly over the skarn type W-Mo-F mineralization in the study area requires further investigation.

발전용 축계 결합용 커플링 볼트 설계에 관한 연구 (Study on Design of Coupling Bolt for Shaft in Power Plant)

  • 커플링 볼트는 조립, 분해 시 작업자의 안전이 고려되는 부분이나 공정 중단의 비용이 중요한 부분에서 기존의 일반볼트를 대체한다. 해양과 발전분야에서 세계적으로 광범위하게 적용되어, 회전하는 플랜지 결합에 사용되어 왔고, 국제적인 국가 선급 협회나 규제기관의 사용을 승인받아 왔었다. 커플링 볼트는 유압식으로 인장되어 플랜지 사이를 안정적으로 단단히 결합한다. 본 논문에서는 발전소 커플링 볼트의 국산화를 위해, 역설계를 통해 현재 사용 중인 볼트의 치수를 측정, 역학적인 수식을 통해 권장 체결하중의 기준을 살펴보았다. 마찰계수는 실험을 통해 선정하였고, 구조해석을 통해 체결상태를 확인하였다. 형상변수에 따른 접촉압력의 변화를 볼트 재설계시 참고할 수 있도록 나타내었다.

배속 시뮬레이션 기반의 선종별 최소 항로 폭에 관한 연구 (A Study on Decision of Minimum Required Channel Width Considering Ship Types by Fast Time Simulation)

  • 항만 진입항로 설계 시에는 선박 입출항에 따른 통항 안전성이 우선적으로 확보될 수 있도록 적정한 항로 폭이 고려되어야 한다. 통항 안전성에 요구되는 최소 항로 폭 산출은 선종별 선박의 크기와 운항 속력 등에 따라 상이하게 나타나는 조종성능을 포함한 선박 요소, 바람, 조류 및 파랑에 따른 환경적 요소, 그리고 운항자 개인별 경험과 판단력 등에 따른 인적 요소 및 해상교통량, 항해지원 시설 등의 기타 요소를 종합적으로 검토하여 결정해야 한다. 그러나, 우리나라 항로 폭 설계 기준이 국제수상교통시설협회나 미국, 일본 등의 기준과 비교할 때 단순히 선박 길이 요소만으로 산정하고 있어, 이에 대한 개선이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 배속 선박조종시뮬레이션을 활용하여 다양한 형태의 선박 및 환경적 요소를 고려하여, 직선항로에서 일방통항에 요구되는 적정 항로 폭에 대한 평가를 실시하였다. 대표적인 연구 결과로 일반적인 운항 선속 10노트 기준 풍속 25노트의 바람과 유속 2노트의 조류, 파고 약 3 m의 파랑이 작용할 경우, 15만 GT급 크루즈선은 선박 길이(L) 대비 0.67~0.91, 1만 2천 TEU급 컨테이너선은 0.79~1.17, 30만 DWT급 원유운반선은 1.02~1.59에 해당되는 최소 항로 폭이 필요한 것으로 분석되었다. 해당 결과는 우리나라 항로 설계기준의 개선 필요성 및 선박 대형화에 따른 통항 안전성 확보에 요구되는 최소 항로 폭 결정 등에 직접적으로 활용이 가능할 것이라 판단된다.

  • 본(本) 연구(硏究)는 인체(人體)에 해(害)로운 농약(農藥)으로 부터 운전자(運轉者)를 보호(保護)하기 위하여 무인(無人) 스피드 스프레이어를 개발(開發)할 목적(目的)으로 수행(遂行)하였으며 무선(無線) 전파(電波) 리모콘에 의한 원격제어(遠隔制御) 시스템을 개발(開發)하기 위하여 수행(遂行)한 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1. 234채널, 16명령을 발신(發信)할 수 있는 VHF 대 전파(電波) 리모콘을 제작(製作)하여, 스피드 스프레이어의 원격제어(遠隔制御)에 편용가능(便用可能)하였다. 2. 시판(市販)되고 있는 무선전화기(無線電話機)의 방식(方式)인 DTMF방식(方式)을 채용(採用)한 무선 리모콘을 사용(使用)할 경우 시판 무선전화기(無線電話機) 사용(使用)이 가능(可能)하여 송수신(送受信)기의 별도(別途) 제작(製作)이 필요 없는 잇점이 있었다. 3. 무선(無線) 전파(電波) 리모콘과 원칩 마이크로 컴퓨터를 이용(利用)하여 염가(廉價)이고 컴팩터한 원격조종(遠隔操縱) 조향장치(操向裝置) 및 원격조종(遠隔操縱) 변속장치(變速裝置), 원격조종(遠隔操縱) 약액(藥液) 살포장치(撒布裝置) 등(等)의 원격제어(遠隔制御) 시스템 제작(製作)이 가능(可能)하였다.

Lipid accumulation product is a predictor of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease in childhood obesity

  • Background: Lipid accumulation product (LAP) is associated with the presence and severity of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in adults. Purpose: Here we evaluated the ability of LAP to predict NAFLD in obese children. Methods: Eighty obese children (38 girls; age 6-18 years) were included. Anthropometric measurements and biochemical values were obtained from the patients' medical records. LAP was calculated as [waist circumference (WC) (cm) - 58]×triglycerides (mmol/L) in girls; [WC (cm) - 65]×triglycerides (mmol/L) in boys. The minLAP and adjLAP were described (3% and 50% of WC values, respectively) and the total/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol index (TC/HDL-C) was calculated. NAFLD was observed on ultrasound, and patients were divided into 3 groups by steatosis grade (normal, grade 0; mild, grade 1; moderate-severe, grade 2-3). The area under the curve (AUC) and appropriate index cutoff points were calculated by receiver operator characteristic analysis. Results: LAP was positively correlated with puberty stage (rho=0.409; P<0.001), fasting insulin (rho= 0.507; P<0.001), homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance (rho=0.470; P<0.001), uric acid (rho=0.522; P<0.001), and TC/HDL-C (rho=0.494; P<0.001) and negatively correlated with HDL-C (rho=-3.833; P<0.001). LAP values could be used to diagnose hepatosteatosis (AUC=0.698; P=0.002). The LAP, adjLAP, and minLAP cutoff values were 42.7 (P=0.002), 40.05 (P=0.003), and 53.47 (P= 0.08), respectively. For LAP, the differences between the normal and mild groups (P=0.035) and the normal and moderate-severe groups were statistically significant (P=0.037), whereas the difference between the mild and moderate-severe groups was not (P>0.005). There was a statistically significant difference between the normal and mild groups for adjLAP (P=0.043) but not between the other groups (P>0.005). There was no significant intergroup difference in minLAP (P>0.005). Conclusion: LAP is a powerful and easy tool to predict NAFLD in childhood. If LAP is ≥42.7, NAFLD should be suspected. This is the first study to assess LAP diagnostic accuracy for childhood obesity.

  • This study is some parts, the contents on "Course of Power Machinery and of Automated-Ship Operation", of the results of the sixth curriculum, revision study for the fisheries high schools and merchant marine high schools. In this study, it was suggested that the existing name "the Course of Marine Engine" is revised to "the Course of Power Machinery" and "the Course of Automated-Ship Operation" is newly established. The purpose of the revision of the name to "the Course of Power Machinery" is to give the course a more flexible curriculum which enables the course to bring up not only sea duty marine engineers but also shore duty power engineers. Also, the purpose of the new establishment of "the Course of Automated-Ship Operation" is to bring up automated-ship operators. The necessities for automated-ship operator is derived from the process of ship automation to reduce the number of crew to cut down the expenses. The revised parts of the organization of the professional subjects exclusively related to "the Course of Power Machinery" and "the Course of Automated-Ship Operation" are summarised as follows; (l) The Automated-Ship are newly added. (2) The Sea Training, the Fisheries Law are Disused. (3) The Introduction to Ship, the Introduction to Marine Engine and the Introduction to Marine Communication are merged into the Introduction to Ship. (4) The name of the Marine Engine, the Shipping Business are revised to the Heat Engine, the Introduction to Shipping respectively. (5) M compulsory professional subjects, the Introduction to Fisheries is suggested for the fisheries high schools and the Introduction to Shipping is suggested for the merchant marine high schools.

자동차 프레스 공정에 있어서 직무 및 누적소음기 설정치 차이에 따른 작업자의 소음노출 평가 (An Assessment of Notice Exposure by Job and Dosimeter Parameters Setting in Automobile Press Factory)

  • Noise-induced hearing loss(NIHL) was the highest rate (43.5%~58.5% from 1996 to 1998) of positive findings through specific medical program in Korea. There were much more NIHL at workers of automobile manufacturing factories than other manufacturing factories. The specific aim of the present study was to determine the noise exposure of automobile press lines, according to their job titles, press line types(auto, semiauto), dosimeter parameters setting. There were a total 11 press lines sampled at a automobile manufacturing company. Among those press lines, 10 press lines were autolines with acoustic enclosure, one semiauto press line was no aucostic enclosure Noise exposure data were sampled for an work shift using noise dosimeter, which recorded both time-weighted average(TWA) and 1-min average. The mean OSHA TWA(Korea TWA with threshold 90) was $80.7dB(A){\pm}4.7dB(A)$ for leader, $82.8dB(A{\pm}4.5dB(A)$ for pallette man, $76.7dB(A){\pm}4.3dB(A)$ for press operators, $76.6dB(A){\pm}5.6dB(A)$ for crane operators, $77.1dB(A){\pm}2.8dB(A)$ for forklift drivers, whereas the mean NIOSH TWA was $88.9dB(A){\pm}1.7dB(A)$ for leader, $89.6dB(A){\pm}2.1dB(A)$ for pallette man, $86.7dB(A){\pm}1.8dB(A)$ for press operators, $88.5dB(A){\pm}2.0dB(A)$ for crane operators, $87.7dB(A){\pm}1.0dB(A)$ for forklift drivers. While L10 for NIOSH TWA samples was 84.8 dB(A) ~ 87.3 dB(A), L10 for OSHA TWA samples was 69.5 dB(A) ~ 77.4 dB(A). L10 means that the TWA for 90% of the samples exceeded L10. Among OSHA TWA(Korea TWA with threshold 90) samples for pallette man, 7.7 % exceeded 90 dB(A), the OSHA permissible exposure level, but OSHA TWA samples for the other job titles didn't. Among NIOSH TWA samples, the samples over 85 dB(A), the NIOSH recommended exposure limit, was 100% (leaders), 83.3 %(operators), 97.4%(palletteman), 100%(forklift drivers), 91.7 %(crane operator). The results of One-way random effects analysis of variance models shows that the difference between job titles was significant by OSHA TWA(p<0.05), but not significant by NIOSH TWA(p>0.05). NIOSH TWA samples were significantly higher than OSHA TWA samples(P<0.05). Regression analysis was used to obtain relationships between OSHA TWA samples and NIOSH TWA samples. In this case the coefficient of determination = 0.90, which shows the high degree association between two methods. Regression equation, NIOSH TWA = 0.552 * OSHA TWA + 42.13 dB(A), shows that if OSHA TWA is known, NIOSH TWA can be predicted by the equation. The mean TWA difference between threshold 80 dBA and 90 dBA was significant(p<0.01). While the TWA noise exposures were 7.7% above the Korea(OSHA) PEL, they were more than 83.3% over NIOSH REL. Automobile workers were exposed to noise level that could be potentially damaging to their hearing. It found that there is approximately 25% excess risk of hearing loss even if a worker is protected to the PEL in according to NIOSH study.

포도 과수원에서 살균제 Difenoconazole의 농작업자 노출량 측정 (Measurement of Operator Exposure During Treatment of Fungicide Difenoconazole on Grape Orchard)

  • 총 6가지의 노출 시료 즉 내복(살포, 조제 각각), 호흡, 거즈, 손(세척액), 장갑(세척액)에 회수율 시험한 결과, 평균 70.1~119.8%의 회수율을 보었으며, 포도과수원에서 회수율 분석 결과 평균 97.3~119.6%의 포장회수율을 나타냈다. Difenoconazole의 10개 시험 과수원에서 농작업자의 피부노출 총량은 0.1106~1.5360 mg 수준이었으며, 호흡 노출량은 $0.529{\mu}g$ 이었고 피부노출량과 호흡노출량을 합한 총 노출량은 0.1111~1.5365 mg 수준이었다. 살포 할 때 10개 과수원에서 농작업자의 피부 노출 총량은 4.2032~25.0635 mg 수준이었고 호흡 노출량은 $0.529{\sim}116.241{\mu}g$ 수준 이었다. 10개 시험 과수원에서 농작업자의 피부노출량과 호흡노출량을 합한 총 노출량은 2.5961~25.0687 mg 수준이었다. Difenoconazole의 농작업자 노출량를 평가하기 위해 경북영주의 10개 포도 과원에서 difenoconazole 약제의 살포액 조제 및 살포시 농작업자의 피부노출량의 평균을 기본값으로 한 결과 조제할 대는 0.02 mg이 검출되었으며 살포할 때는 2.28 mg이 검출되었다. 그리고 살포시 difenoconazole의 호흡 노출량은 0.02 mg으로 이는 피부 노출량의 0.9% 수준이었다. Difenoconazole의 농작업자의 총 피부 노출량을 피부흡수율로 계한 값인 0.004 mg/kg bw/day(평균 체중 : 60 kg)은 설정된 difenoconazole의 농작업자노출량인 0.16 mg/kg bw/day의 2.5% 수준으로 이였다.

조합식(組合式) 정백(精白)시스템의 설계(設計) 및 작동인자(作動因子)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究)(II) -작동기준(作動基準) 설정(設定)- (A Study on Design and Operational Factors of Rice Whitening Systems Consisting of Abrasive and Frictional Whiteners -Operational Criteria-)

  • Operation of rice whiteners has been depending on operator's experience only and very limitted data are available for operational criteria of rice whiteners in Korea. With developments of new rice varieties and with a tendency of automation of machine operations for precision control, operational criteria depending on physical characteristics of rice grains arc required for an improvement of milled rice recovery and the performance of rice whitening systems. An experimental study was conducted to identify operational criteria of a rice whitening system consisted with an abrasive-aerated whitener developed newly and a frictional-aerated whitener being used commercially. Further, comparisons were made between the performance of the rice whitening system adopted for this study and a commercial system used in small scale milling plants. Results of this study are summarized as follows: 1. Total number of passes necessary for the final white rice in the combined whitening system depended exclusively on the counter pressure level of the frictional whitener successive to the abrasive whitener. 2. The counter pressure required for whitening Japonica type rice variety (Akibare) was higher by about 1.6 times than that for Japonica type (Pung-san), when other conditions were kept at the same. 3. Radial pressure in the whitening chamber of the frictional whitener should be maintained between 1.5 to $2.1kg/cm^2$ for the completion of whitening within 5 to 3 passes regardless of rice varieties. Hence, it was found that the radial pressure in the whitening chamber could be used as an operational criteria to control the counter pressure level. 4. The following regression equation was found between radial pressure($R_p$) in whitening chamber and electric power consumption of the whitening system: $$EPC=-0.545\;R^2_p+1.277\;R_p+0.874[KWH/100kg]$$ 5. The following multiple regression equation was found among radial pressure ($R_p$), counter pressure ($C_p$), and bioyield point ($B_i$), length (L) and width (W) of brown rice. $$R_p/(B_i/W^2)=0.547\{C_p/(B_i/W^2)\}^{0.365}(L/W)^{0.120}(R^2=0.9897)$$ 6. The milled rice recovery and machine efficiency (kg/KWH) from the combined whitening system were higher by about 2.0% point and by 15 to 27% point than those from the conventional system, respectively.
