In this paper, we present a 3D reconstruction method of color volume data or a computerized human atlas. Binary volume rendering which takes the advantages of shear-warp factorization and new normal vector calculation method visualizes 3D organs in real time. Various manipulations such as rotation, multiple object rendering, removal, and transparency effect improve the usefulness and comprehensiveness of the computerized atlas.

A business process flow model for an intermediary type shopping mall consisting of multiple sellers has been presented in this study. Specifically, we defined 11 essential business processes of a front office customer's view point and set up detailed process flow models using IDEF3 (Integrated DEFinition). The characteristic of this study lies in providing a dynamic model rather than static models. The results may form a conceptual framework not only for shopping mall processes but for analysis and improvement toward extended electronic business systems.

The stereoselective synthesis 4′,6′-dually branched carbocyclic nucleosides was accomplished in this study. The introduction of a methyl group in the 6′$({\alpha})$-position was accomplished by Felkin-Anh controlled alkylation. The construction of the required 4′$({\alpha})$-quaternary carbon was carried out using a [3,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement. Bis-vinyl 6 was successfully cyclized using a Grubbs' catalyst II. The natural bases (adenine, cytosine) were efficiently coupled using a Pd(0) catalyst. When the synthesized compounds were examined for their activity against several viruses such as the HIV-1, HSV-1, HSV-2 and HCMV, the cytosine analogue 13 exhibited good antiviral activity against the HCMV.

본 논문은 DCM(Discontinuous Conduction Mode)로 동작하는 3상 인터리브드 양방향 DC-DC컨버터를 다룬다. 전류 리플을 줄이기 위해 3상 인터리브드 방식을 이용하였으며 소프트 스위칭 조건을 확보하기 위해 DCM동작을 한다. DCM동작시 스위칭 손실을 분석하고 이를 저감하기 위하여 새로운 스위칭 기법을 제시하며 실험으로 유용성을 입증한다.

Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory disease involving multiple-organs with an unknown cause. The new onset of sarcoidosis associated with therapeutic agents has been observed in 3 clinical settings; tumor necrosis factor antagonists in autoimmune rheumatologic diseases, interferon alpha with or without ribavirin in patients with chronic hepatitis C or melanoma, and antineoplastic agent-associated sarcoidosis in patients with hematologic malignancies. Here, we report a female patient who developed sarcoidosis after capecitabine treatment as an adjuvant chemotherapy for sigmoid colon cancer. To our knowledge, this is the first report of a capecitabine-induced sarcoidosis.

This study investigated the articulatory and acoustic correlates of Korean /1/. In particular, direct comparison between Korean /1/ and English /1/ was made to evaluate the current assumption about Korean /1/ such that Korean /1/ is phonetically similar to English clear /1/. The present study revealed that Korea /1/ is different from English /1/ in several properties. First, F2 for Korean /1/ is around 600-700 Hz higher than F2 for English /1/. The overall higher F2 for Korean /1/ is attributed to the fact that Korean /1/ involves tongue body raising while it lacks a dorsal gesture. Second, F3 value for Korean /1/ becomes significantly lower when the preceeding vowel is a back vowel. This kind of variable F3 pattern was not observed in English /1/. The current study relates the F3 lowering to the retroflexion of Korean /1/ in the back vowel context.

Three cases of intestinal lipoma near the ileocecal valve are described. In patients of cecal and ileocecal valve lipoma, they had right lower quadrant abdominal pain secondary to partial intestinal obstruction. In rarely developed segmental lipomatosis of the ileum, the patient had right abdominal mass and pain to fecal impaction of the diverticula. Diagnosis may be made by an abnormal roentgenographic pattern and confirmed by colonoscopy. Surgical removal of the affected segment results in cure in symptomatic patients.

In the case of contacts between semiconductor and metal in semiconductor devices, they tend to be unstable because of thermal budget. To prevent these problems we deposited W-C-N diffusion barrier for preventing the interdiffusion between metal and semiconductor. The thickness of the barrier is $1,000{\AA}$ and the pressure is 3 mTorr during the deposition. In this work we coated LSMO (CMR material) on W-C-N diffusion barrier and then we studied the interface effects between LSMO layer and W-C-N diffusion barrier. We got results that the magnetic characteristics of LSMO thin film are still maintained after annealing at $800^{\circ}C$ for 3 hr because W-C-N thin diffusion barrier was prevented the diffusion of oxygen between LSMO and Si substrate.
