  • In this paper we define the concept of anti fuzzy $H_v$-subgroup of an $H_v$ -group and prove a few theorems concerning this concept. We also obtain a necessary and sufficient condition for a fuzzy subset of an $H_v$-group to be an anti fuzzy $H_v$ -subgroup. We also abtain a relation between the fuzzy $H_v$-subgroups and the and the anti fuzzy $H_v$-subgroup.

  • n-ary $H_v$-structures is a generalisation of both n-ary structures and $H_v$-structures. A wide class of n-ary $P-H_v$-groups is the n-ary $P-H_v$-groups that is concidered in this paper. In this paper the notion of a normal subgroup of an n-ary $P-H_v$-groups is introduced and the isomorphism theorems for n-ary $P-H_v$-groups are stated and proved. Also some examples and related properties are investigated.

  • Purpose: To compare the measurements of the mandible and the detectability of the mandibular canal on reformatted images using a newly developed 3-dimensional implant simulation program with traditionally used CT multiplanar reconstruction program and true measurements. Materials and Methods: Ten dry dog mandibles were used in this study. Occlusal templates for CT examination were fabricated and marked with gutta perch a at ten sites. Axial CT scans were taken and reconstructed using DentaScan (D group) and Vimplant program (V group), and each mandible was sectioned at the previously marked sites (R group). Maximum vertical height (H) and maximum width (W) of the mandible, the distances from buccal border of the mandibular canal to the most buccal aspect of the mandible (X), and the distance from the superior border of the mandibular canal to the alveolar crest (Y) were measured, and the mandibular measurements in each group were compared. Detectability of mandibular canal was evaluated using a 3-point scale in both V and D groups by three oral radiologists and compared. Results: H in the V group was slightly greater than that in the D group, and Wand X in the V group was slightly less than those in the D group. H in the V group was less than that in the R group, and Wand X in the V group was larger than those in the R group. The detectability of the mandibular canal did not show statistically significant differences between V and D groups. Conclusion: The results of the experiment show that the newly developed, inexpensive Vimplant/TM/ simulation program can be used as an alternative to the traditionally used, and more expensive CT multiplanar reconstruction program.

  • The objective of this study was to optimize the freezing/thawing method of in vitro produced Hanwoo blastocysts. Day 7 blastocysts after IVF were vitrified using EFS40 (40% ethylene glycol, 18% ficoll, 0.3 M sucrose and 10% FBS added m-DPBS) as a freezing solution and electron microscope (EM) grid (V-G) or straw (V-S) as an embryo container. In both method, freezing/thawing were treated by 2-step, treatment time was required in V-G method and V-S method, for 2 min / 3 min and 3.5 min / 10 min, respectively. Embryo survival was assessed as re-expanded and hatched rates at 24 h and 48 h after warming, respectively. The results obtained in these experiments were summarized as follows: when the effect of exposure in vitrification solution and chilling injury from freezing procedure on in vitro produced expanded blastocysts were examined, at 24 h after warming, embryo survival in exposure group (100.0%) was not different compared to that in control group (100.0%), although those results were significantly different with two vitrified groups (V-G: 87.8, V-S: 77.8%) (P<0.001). However, at 48 h after warming, hatched rates of V-G group (67.8%) were significantly higher than those of V-S group (53.3%) (P<0.05). In addition, this hatched rate in V-G group was not different with that in exposure group (73.3%). When the effects of embryo developmental stage (early, expanded and early hatching blastocysts) and embryo container (EM grid and straw) to the in vitro survival of vitrified-warmed day 7 Hanwoo blastocysts were simultaneously examined, fast developed embryos were indicated the better resistance to freezing than delayed developed one, irrespective of embryo containers (early; 57.1 & 24.4%, expanded; 84.7 & 60.6%, early hatching; 91.7 & 80.0%) (P<0.001). Especially, in expanded and early hatching blastocysts, embryo survival of V-G group (67.8, 95.0%) was significantly higher than those of V-S group (53.0, 65.0%) at 48 h post warming, respectively (P<0.05, P<0.001). Therefore, this study indicates that Hanwoo blastocysts can be cryopreserved more simple, efficient and successful by vitrification method using EM grid.

  • Two new nickel vanadium borophosphate cluster compounds, $(NH_4)_{10}[Ni(H_2O)_5]_4[V_2P_2BO_{12}]_6{\cdot}nH_2O$ (1) and $(NH_4)_{3.5}(C_3H_{12}N_2)_{3.5}[Ni(H_2O)_6]_{1.25}{[Ni(H_2O)_5]_2[V_2P_2BO_{12}]_6{\cdot}nH_2O$ (2) have been synthesized and structurally characterized. Inter-diffusion methods were employed to prepare the compounds. The cluster anion $[(NH_4)\;{\supset}\;V_2P_2BO_{12}]_6$ is used as a building unit in the synthesis of new compounds containing $Ni(H_2O){^{2+}_5}$ in the presence of pyrazine and 1,3-diaminopropane. Compounds contain isolated cluster anions with general composition ${[Ni(H_2O)_5]_n[(NH_4)\;{\supset}\;V_2P_2BO_{12}]_6}^{-(17-2n)}$ (n = 2, 4). • Human body volumes were calculated from the measurments of body height and body weight. Equations Suited to express the relations of height, weight, and surface area to show the body volume were derived from the body volume measurements by means of underwater. weighing method. Underwater body weights were corrected for the residual volume of long obtained by the Rahn's three breath method. Underwater weighing was performed on 173 male subjects aged between 13 and 51 years. Subjects were divided into 4 age groups, namely, 13-16 years group of 47 subjects, 16-19 years group of 46 subjects, adult group aged between 22 and 38 years comprising 45 subjects, and middle-aged group (40-51 years) of 35 subjects. The group division was made on .the basis of physical growth and development. The following results were obtained. 1. Body height (H, cm), body weight (W, kg), body surface area $S,\; m^{2})$, and body volume (V, liter.) interrelated closely. V/S showed a high correlation with W/H and the coefficient of correlation was r=0.97 irrespective of age group differences of the subjects. The coefficients of correlation between V/S and W/H in the total mate subjects as a single group was r=1.983. Subsequently the following regression equation was obtained. V = S X (54.84 W/H + 14.08) The agreement of body volume values obtained by the calculation and underwater weighing in the total subject group was better than that of the separate age group division. 2. The calculated values of body volume were: 40.4 l (euiqvalent to the body density value of 1.0562 kg/1) in 13-16 years group; 52.0 l (equivalent to density value of 1.0723 kg/l) in 16-19 years group; 55.3 l (equivalent to density value of 1.0570 kg/l) In the adult group; and 54. 0 l (equivalent to density value of 1.074 kg/l) in the middle-age group. The mean deviation of calculated from the measured volume value ranged between ${\pm}0.55$ and ${\pm}0.81$ liters. 3. The correlation between V/S and mean skinfold thickness of 4 sites (arm, back, iliac and chest) was high, namely, the coefficient of correlation was r=0.656. The coefficients of correlation between V./S and the $R\"{o}hrer$ index ranged between r=0.668 and r=0.810 affected by the difference in group age of the subject. The body volume (V) alone correlated poorly than V/S with mean skinfold thickness (r=0.606) and the $R\"{o}hrer$ index (r ranged between 0.274 and 0.588).

  • The experiment was conducted to evaluate Bio-V-Pro as an alternative protein source in broiler diets. Treatments were control, Bio-V-Pro 1% (BP 1), Bio-V-Pro 3% (BP 3), and Bio-V-Pro 5% (BP 5). During the starter period, all treated groups showed beter performance than control group in weight gain and feed intake (p < 0.05). The best FCR was observed in BP 1 group and the worst was found in BP 5 group. For the overall period, chicks fed BP 1 and BP 3 diets gained more than the chicks fed the control and BP 5 diets. All Bio-V-Pro fed groups consumed more feed than the control group (p < 0.05). FCR were similar between the control and BP 1 group, but BP 3 and BP 5 groups showed higher FCR than the control group. During the starter period, all BP groups showed better utilizability of crude protein, crude ash and phosphorus than the control group (p < 0.05). For the finisher period, except for the BP 5 group, the nutrient utilizability was not significantly different in most nutrients. Nutrients utilizability had a tendency (not significant) to decrease as the level of Bio-V-Pro in the diet was increased. Lysine utilizability was not affected by the dietary treatment, however, methionine utilizability was higher in BP 1 and BP 3 group than in the control group. From the results of this experiment, it seems that Bio-V-Pro is a good alternative protein source which can replace fish meal in starter diet up to 3% of the diet effectively.
