비 막힘형 수중 펌프 임펠러 형상이 펌프 성능에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Impeller Shape of Submersible Nonclogging Pump on its Performance)

  • 본 연구에서는 15kW 모터로 구동되는 $5m^3$/min의 유량을 고효율로 공급할 수 있는 2엽 비막힘형 수중 펌프의 임펠러를 설계하는 것을 목표로 임펠러 출구 위치 변화($h_I$), 출구 폭($b_2$) 및 허브 프로파일이 펌프 성능에 미치는 영향을 상용 해석용 프로그램 ANSYS CFX를 사용한 전산해석을 통해 수행하였다. 해석 결과, 임펠러 출구 위치 변화($h_I$) 및 출구 폭($b_2$)이 증가하면 양정 및 축동력의 경우는 $h_I$, $b_2$와 함께 지속적으로 증가하지만 효율의 경우는 $h_I$=38 mm, $b_2$=55 mm 까지만 증가하며, 그 이상의 값에서는 일정한 값을 가짐을 보여준다. 그리고 허브 프로파일의 변화는 상대적으로 임펠러 성능에 큰 영향을 미치지는 않는다.

  • Let X and Y be vector spaces. It is shown that a mapping $f\;:\;X{\rightarrow}Y$ satisfies the functional equation $$mn_{mn-2}C_{k-2}f(\frac {x_1+...+x_{mn}} {mn})$$ $(\ddagger)\;+mn_{mn-2}C_{k-1}\;\sum\limits_{i=1}^n\;f(\frac {x_{mi-m+1}+...+x_{mi}} {m}) =k\;{\sum\limits_{1{\leq}i_1<... if and only if the mapping $f : X{\rightarrow}Y$ is additive, and we prove the Cauchy-Rassias stability of the functional equation $(\ddagger)$ in Banach modules over a unital $C^*-algebra$. Let A and B be unital $C^*-algebra$ or Lie $JC^*-algebra$. As an application, we show that every almost homomorphism h : $A{\rightarrow}B$ of A into B is a homomorphism when $h(2^d{\mu}y) = h(2^d{\mu})h(y)\;or\;h(2^d{\mu}\;o\;y)=h(2^d{\mu})\;o\;h(y)$ for all unitaries ${\mu}{\in}A,\;all\;y{\in}A$, and d = 0,1,2,..., and that every almost linear almost multiplicative mapping $h:\;A{\rightarrow}B$ is a homomorphism when h(2x)=2h(x) for all $x{\in}A$. Moreover, we prove the Cauchy-Rassias stability of homomorphisms in $C^*-algebras$ or in Lie $JC^*-algebras$, and of Lie $JC^*-algebra$ derivations in Lie $JC^*-algebras$.

  • 2-hydroxy-3-hydroxymethy1-5-methylbenzaldehyde(HHMMB)와 ethylenediamine 혹은 1,3-dia-minopropane의 축합반응에 의해 6-배위 칸막이 리간드, $H_4L[A]$$H_4L[B]$를 각각 얻은 후에 거대비고리 리간드 착물, $Cu(H_2L[A]).H_2O$, $Cu(H_2L[B]).H_2O$, CuFe(L[A]($NO_3$).$4H_2O$, CuFe(L[B])($NO_3$).$4H_2O$, [$CuGd(H_2L[A])(NO_3)_2](NO_3).2CH_3OH$, [CuGd($H_2L$[B])($NO_3)_2$]($NO_3).2CH_3OH를 합성하였다. 2,6-diformyl-p-clesol (DFPC)로부터 합성한 Ln-거대고리([20]DOTA)착물,[Ln([20]DOTA)($NO_3)(H_2O)$]($NO_3$)2.$xH_2O${Ln(III)=Pr, Sm, Gd, Dy를 methanol 용매에 2일 정도 정치함으로써 [Ln([20]DOTA)($NO3$)($CH_3OH)]^{2+}$을 얻을 수 있다. 이 lanthanide-[20]DOTA착물에서 배위된 $CH_3OH$이 주게원자가 N 혹은 O인 두자리 보조리간드, $L_a$(=o-phenylenediamine,1,10-phenanthroline, ethylenediamine,oxalic acid, malonic acid, acethyl-acetone에 의해 치환될 때 평형상수(K)를 $25^{\circ}C\;{\mu}=0.1M\;NaClO_4$ 에서 분광학적 방법으로 결정하였다. 보조리간드의 $pK_a$는 o-Phenylenediamine < 1,10-ptlenanthroline < ehylenediamine,oxalic acid < malonic acid < acethylacetone이며, 이때 평형상수, K는 ethylenediamine < 1,10-phenanthroline < o-phenylenediamine,acethylacetone < malonic acid < oxalic acid 경향으로 변하였다.

전기응집 공정을 이용한 Rhodamine B의 제거 (Removal of Rhodamine B using Electrocoagulation Process)

  • Rhodamine B (RhB)의 제거를 위해 철 전극을 이용한 전기응집 (EC) 공정의 성능에 대해 연구하였다. RhB 제거 효율에 대한 전극 물질 (알루미늄, 철), 전류밀도, NaCl 첨가량, 초기 pH 및 초기 염료 농도와 같은 운전인자의 영향을 연구하였다. 이들 운전 인자에 대한 최적 운전 범위는 실험을 통하여 결정되었다. 희생 전극 물질로서 철 전극의 성능이 알루미늄 전극보다 우수하였다. 최적 전기분해 시간, 전류밀도, NaCl 첨가량 및 pH는 각각 10 분, 1630 A/$m^2$, 4 g/L 및 중성의 pH 이었다. 최적의 공정 조건하에서 RhB 농도가 230 mg/L인 조건에서 RhB는 효과적으로 제거되었고 (> 93.4%), RhB의 COD도 역시 감소하였다(> 88.9%). RhB의 색도와 COD 제거에 대한 상기 조건에서의 전기 에너지 소비량은 각각 10.3 and 10.8 kWh/kg RhB으로 나타났다. 전기응집 공정은 RhB와 같은 염색폐수 처리에 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.

Superconducting properties of MgB2 bulks using the different sizes of Mg & B raw powders

  • Among many variables in processing the high performance MgB2 bulk superconductors, simple and important approach is to optimize the size dependence of the Mg & B raw powders. The present study is dedicated towards the variation in superconducting properties of MgB2 depending upon the various combination of Mg & B powders with the two different particle sizes respectively. From morphological investigation of the MgB2 samples, narrow and long pores are observed when the larger Mg powders are used, whereas it is rather like the oval shapes with the smaller Mg powders. Also, it can be seen that the connectivity of the MgB2 samples is much enhanced with the smaller size of the B powders. Jc-H properties of the MgB2 samples also indicate that the highest Jc can be obtained when using the smaller size of the B powder with the combination of the smaller Mg powders than that of the larger Mg powders. If the cases with the larger B powers, it is more favorable to select the larger Mg powders with the better Jc-H properties considering shorter diffusion length of Mg and more homogeneous mixture between the Mg & B powders.

TMA Study on Phase Evolution During Hydrogen-assisted Disproportionation of Nd-Fe-B Alloy

  • Phase evolution during the hydrogen-assisted disproportionation of $Nd_{12.5}Fe_{80.6}B_{6.4}Ga_{0.3}Nb_{0.2}$ alloy was investigated mainly by using a magnetic balance-type thermomagnetic analyser (TMA). In order to avoid any undesirable phase change in the course of heating for TMA, a swift TMA technique with very high heating rate (around 2 min to reach $800^{\circ}C$ from room temperature) was adopted. The hydrided $Nd_{12.5}Fe_{80.6}B_{6.4}Ga_{0.3}Nb_{0.2}$ alloy started to be disproportionated in hydrogen from around $600^{\circ}C$, and the alloy after the early disproportionation (from 600 to $660^{\circ}C$) has been partially disproportionated. The partially disproportionated alloy consisted of a mixture of $NdH_x$, $Fe_3B$, ${\alpha}$-Fe, and the remaining undisproportionated $Nd_2Fe_{14}BH_x$-phase. During the subsequent heating to $800^{\circ}C$ in hydrogen, two additional phases of $Fe_{23}B_6$ and $Fe_2B$ were formed, and the material consisted of a mixture of $NdH_x$, $Fe_{23}B_6$, $Fe_3B$, $Fe_2B$, and ${\alpha}$-Fe phases. During the subsequent isothermal holding at $800^{\circ}C$ for 1 hour, the phase constitution was further changed, and one additional unknown magnetic phase was formed. Eventually, the fully disproportionated $Nd_{12.5}Fe_{80.6}B_{6.4}Ga_{0.3}Nb_{0.2}$ alloy consisted of $NdH_x$, $Fe_{23}B_6$, $Fe_3B$, $Fe_2B$, ${\alpha}$-Fe, and one additional unknown magnetic phase.

Fabrication of Fe-TiB2 Composite Powder by High-Energy Milling and Subsequent Reaction Synthesis

  • $TiB_2$-reinforced iron matrix composite (Fe-$TiB_2$) powder was in-situ fabricated from titanium hydride ($TiH_2$) and iron boride (FeB) powders by the mechanical activation and a subsequent reaction. Phase formation of the composite powder was identified by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The morphology and phase composition were observed and measured by field emission-scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), respectively. The results showed that $TiB_2$ particles formed in nanoscale were uniformly distributed in Fe matrix. $Fe_2B$ phase existed due to an incomplete reaction of Ti and FeB. Effect of milling process and synthesis temperature on the formation of composite were discussed.

  • The underground part of Rosa rugosa Thunb. has been used in Korean folk medicine for treating diabetes. The $^{1}H-NMR$ signal of procyanidin B3 isolated from Rosa rugosa was fully assigned by utilizing $^{1}H-^{1}H$ COSY. Procyandin B3 showed a moderate inhibitory activity against HIV-1 protease.
