뫼스바우어 분광법을 이용한 LuFe2O4의 자발분극과 철 이온의 거동과의 상관관계에 대한 연구 (The Research about the Correlation Between the Spontaneous Polarization of LuFe2O4 and Behavior of Iron by Mössbauer)

  • [ $LuFe_2O_4$ ] 단결정 시료를 floating zone법을 이용하여 합성, 결정학적 및 자기구조를 연구하였다. 결정 구조는 $R\={3}mh$의 능면체로 결정되었고, 격자 상수는 각각 $a_0=3.440(2)\;{\AA},\;c_0=25.263(2)\;{\AA}$이었다. 진동 시료 자화율 측정기(VSM) 실험결과와 $M\"{o}ssbauer$ 분석 실험결과 자기적 $N\'{e}el$ 온도($T_N$)는 250 K로 결정되었다. 12 K에서의 $M\ddot{o}ssbauer$ 스펙트럼을 결정구조에서 기인한 4개 세트의 6라인 공명흡수선으로 분석하였으며, 상온에서의 $M\"{o}ssbauer$ 스펙트럼은 3개의 single과 1개의 doublet이 중첩된 형태를 보였다. 상온에서 singlet들의 이성질체 이동치는 $Fe^{3+}$의 이온 상태를 나타내는 $0.20{\pm}0.01mm/s$ 전후의 값을, doublet은 $Fe^{2+}$의 이온 상태를 나타내는 $0.70{\pm}0.01mm/s$의 값을 갖는 것을 알 수 있었다. 상온에서의 $Fe^{3+}$$Fe^{2+}$간의 면적비율은 1:1로 나타났으나, 온도가 상승함에 따라 doublet 형태가 점차 사라지다가 360 K에서는 singlet 형태의 단일 흡수선으로 나타났다. 이는 $LuFe_2O_4$물질에서 나타내는 자발분극현상이 철 이온이 가지고 있는 거동의 변화 때문인 것으로 해석된다.

Fe2O3/Na3AlF6/Fe2O3/Cu, Al, Cr 다층박막의 광학적 두께에 따른 광학특성 (The Optical properties of Fe2O3/Na3AlF6/Fe2O3/Cu, Al, Cr Multi Layered Thin Film depending on the Optical Thickness)

  • Multi-layered thin films of $Fe_2O_3/Na_3AlF_6/Fe_2O_3/Cu$, Cr, Al were deposited on glass substrate by evaporation process. As high and low refractive index material, $Fe_2O_3$ and $Na_3AlF_6$ were selected and additionally Cu, Al and Cr were chosen as mid reflective layer respectively. Optical properties including reflectance were systematically studied depending on optical thickness of $Na_3AlF_6$ especially $0.25{\lambda}$ and $0.5{\lambda}$. In order to expect the experimental result, the simulation program, the Essential Macleod Program(EMP) was adopted and compared with the experimental data. Based on the results taken by spectrophotometer at viewing angle $45^{\circ}C$, the $Fe_2O_3/Na_3AlF_6/Fe_2O_3/Cu$ show the colour rage between red and orange in $0.25{\lambda}$ and green and pupple in $0.5{\lambda}$ respectively. When the Al was used as mid reflective layers in $Fe_2O_3/Na_3AlF_6/Fe_2O_3$ system, typical yellow colour and mixed colour between green and pupple were appeared in $0.25{\lambda}$ and $0.5{\lambda}$ of $Na_3AlF_6$ respectively. As compared the experimental result to simulation data, it was found out that the experimental data is relatively well matched with the EMP simulation data.

  • $(Fe_{0.98}Mn_{0.02})_xSi_2(x{\leq$}1) 조성으로, 용융법으로 제조한 $\alpha$-$Fe_2Si_5$상의 잉곳을 730~85$0^{\circ}C$에서 4~20시간 열처리하거나, 기계적 합금화로 제조한 $\varepsilon$-FeSi과 Si상으로 구성된 분말을 760~85$0^{\circ}C$에서 10분간 가압통전소결하므로써 $\beta$-$FeSi_2$기지상에 Si이 분산된 미세조직을 얻을 수 있었다. 조성, 열처리 온도와 소결 온도에 따라 Si 분상의 크기와 간격이 각기 0.05~0.27$\mu\textrm{m}$와 0.2~0.6$\mu\textrm{m}$ 범위에서 변화하였다. 이와 같은 Si 분산상에 의해 $\beta$-$FeSi_2$의 격자 열전도도가 감소되어 성능지수가 향상될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Fe(II)/과황산/전기화학적 산화 공정에 의한 2,4-D의 제거 (Removal of 2,4-D by an Fe(II)/persulfate/Electrochemical Oxidation Process)

  • The removal of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) in aqueous solution by coupled electro-oxidation and Fe(II) activated persulfate oxidation process was investigated. The electrochemical oxidation was performed using carbon sheet electrode and persulfate using Fe(II) ion as an activator. The oxidation efficiency was investigated by varying current density (2 - 10 mA/㎠), electrolyte (Na2SO4) concentration (10 - 100 mM), persulfate concentration (5 - 20 mM), and Fe(II) concentration (10 - 20 mM). The 2,4-D removal efficiency was in the order of Fe(II) activated persulfate-assisted electrochemical oxidation (Fe(II)/PS/ECO, 91%) > persulfate-electrochemical oxidation (PS/ECO, 51%) > electro-oxidation (EO, 36%). The persulfate can be activated by electron transfer in PS/ECO system, however, the addition of Fe(II) as an activator enhanced 2,4-D degradation in the Fe(II)/PS/ECO system. The 2,4-D removal efficiency was not affected by the initial pHs (3 - 9). The presence of anions (Cl- and HCO3-) inhibited the 2,4-D removal in Fe(II)/PS/ECO system due to scavenging of sulfate radical. Scavenger experiment using tert-butyl alcohol (TBA) and methanol (MeOH) confirmed that although both sulfate (SO4•-) and hydroxyl (•OH) radicals existed in Fe(II)/PS/ECO system, hydroxyl radical (SO4•-) was the predominant radical.

투명산화철의 製造에 관한 硏究 (Studies on Preparation of Transparent Iron Oxide)

  • FeSO$_4$ 용액에 NaOH를 첨가하여 FeOOH를 제조하였으며, R(=2NaOH/FeSO$_4$), FeSO$_4$의 농도, 반응온도 및 산화용 가스인 air의 유량 변화에 따른 제조변수를 통해 투명산화철의 제조 조건을 연구하였다. 수용액 중에 FeSO$_4$의 농도가 증가할수록 Fe$_3O_4$를 석출하며 입자의 크기가 증가하였다. 생성된 FeOOH는 약 200$^{\circ}C$에서 탈수반응을 일으켜 약 320$^{\circ}C$부근에서 종료하였다. 반응온도가 낮을수록 Fe(OH)$_2$의 입자의 길이가 짧아졌으며, 산화제인 air의 공급량이 클수록 용액 중에 용존산소의 량이 증가하여 Fe(OH)$_2$의 입자길이가 감소하였다.

  • Nd 함유량을 4 at.%로 고정시킨 Nd-Fe-B 합금의 자기특성이 조사되었다. 급속응고된 $Nd_{4}Fe_{85.5}B_{10.5}$ 합금은 열처리에 의하여 ${\alpha}-Fe$ 연자성기지에 석출되며, $Nd_{4}Fe_{85.5}B_{10.5}$ 합금에 Mo, Nb, V 및 Cu의 첨가는 결정립을 미세화시켜 보자력을 향상시킨다. 그러나 ${\alpha}-Fe$ 결정립에 의한 각형성 열화는 잔류자화를 감소시킨다. $Nd_{4}Fe_{82}B_{10}M_{3}Cu_{1}$(M = Mo, Nb, V) 합금에서 보자력은 M = V < Nb < Mo로 증가하며, M = Mo에서 2.7 kOe이고, 잔류자화는 M = Mo < Nb < V순으로 증가하며 M = V에서 1.35 T이다.

  • 약 30 nm의 미세결정립으로 구성된 ( .alpha. -Fe)-(Nd$_{2}$Fe$_{14}$B$_{1}$)형 저 Nd함유 Nd-Fe-B계 합금이 급속응고법으로 제조된 비정질상으로 부터 결정화하여 제조되었다. Nd$_{4}$Fe$_{82}$B$_{10}$Mo$_{3}$Cu$_{1}$ 조성에 Ga의 첨가는 각형성 개선효과와 함께 잔류자화를 1.29 T까지 증가시킨다. Nd의 함유량을 증가시킨 초미세결정립 Nd$_{5}$Fe$_{81}$B$_{9}$Mo$_{3}$Cu$_{1}$Ga$_{1}$ 합금의 Nd$_{2}$Fe$_{81}$B$_{9}$Mo$_{3}$Cu$_{1}$Ga$_{1}$ 합금의 잔류자화, 보자력 및 최대자기에너지적은 각각 1.24 T, 257.4 kA/m(3.23 kOe), and 100.3 kJ/m$^{3}$(12.6 MGOe)이다.다.

고압 금형 주조용 Al-4%Mg-0.9%Si 합금의 주조특성에 미치는 Fe, Mn 함량의 영향 (Effect of Fe, Mn Content on the Castability of Al-4%Mg-0.9%Si Alloys for High Pressure Die Casting)

  • Effect of Fe and Mn contents on the castability of Al-4wt%Mg-0.9wt%Si system alloy has been studied. According to the analysis of cooling curve for Al-4wt%Mg-0.9wt%Si-0.3wt%Fe-0.3/0.5wt%Mn alloy, ${\alpha}-Al_{15}(Fe,Mn)_3Si_2$ and ${\beta}-Al_5FeSi$ phases crystallized above eutectic temperature of $Mg_2Si$. Therefore, these phases affected both the fluidity and shrinkage behaviors of the alloy during solidification. As Fe and Mn contents of Al-4wt%Mg-0.9wt%Si system alloy increased from 0.1 wt% to 0.4 wt% and from 0.3 wt% to 0.5 wt% respectively, the fluidity of the alloy decreased by 26% and 33%. When Fe content of the alloy increased from 0.1 wt% to 0.4 wt%, 23% decrease of macro shrinkage and 19% increase of micro shrinkage appeared. Similarly, Mn content of the alloy increased from 0.3 wt% to 0.5 wt%, 11% decrease of macro shrinkage and 14% increase of micro shrinkage appeared. Judging from the castability of the alloy, Al-4wt%Mg-0.9wt%Si alloy with low content of Fe and Mn, 0.1 wt% Fe and 0.3 wt% Mn, is recommendable.

Characterization of Multiphase in $Fe_2O_3$ Thin Film by PECVD

  • Fe$_2$O$_3$ thin films were prepared on $Al_2$O$_3$ substrate by PECVD(Plasma-Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition) process. The phase transformation of iron oxide film was determined as the substrate temperature and reduction-oxidation process. $\alpha$-Fe$_2$O$_3$ was stable in deposition temperature ranges of 80~15$0^{\circ}C$. Fe$_3$O$_4$ phase was obtained by the reduction process of $\alpha$-Fe$_2$O$_3$ phase in H$_2$ ambient. Fe$_3$O$_4$ phase was transformed into a ${\gamma}$-Fe$_2$O$_3$ thin film under controlled oxidation conditions at 280~30$0^{\circ}C$.

산소 결함 Magnetite를 이용한 이산화탄소의 분해 (The Decomposition of Carbon-dioxide Using the Oxygen Deficient Magnetite)

  • The optimum conditions was synthesized for the formation of Magnetite ($Fe_3O_4$) by air bubbling with the suspensions obtained by mixing Ferrous sulfate ($FeSO_4\cdot 7H_2O$) and Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) solution in various values equivalent ratio($R=2NaOH/FeSO_4$) were studied. The changes of the structure were measured with XRD, $EM and BET. Equivalent ratio R: 0.65 was synthesized Goethite ($\alpha$-FeOOH), which becomes Maghemite ($\gamma=Fe_2O_3$) by dehydration, reduction and oxidation process. At the equivalent ratio over 1 (R>1), Magnetite ($Fe_3O_4$) was synthesized directly. The oxygen-deficient Magnetite ($Fe_3O_{4-\delta}$), which is obtained by flowing $H_2$ gas(100 ml/min) through the synthesis Magnetite at 350$\circ$C for 4 hr. By using it, was researched the decomposition reaction of $CO_2$. $CO_2$ was decomposed nearly 100% in 45 minutes by the oxygen-deficient Magnetite.
