The influences of dietary supplements of vitamin E on hepatocellular chemical carcinogenesis have been studied, Placental glutathione S-transferase(GST-P) positive foci area, antioxidant enzymes(superoxide dismutase(SOD), catalase, glutathione reductase, glutathione peroxidase, glutathione S-transferase(GST)), glucose 6-phosphatase(G6Pase) activities, and lipid peroxidation of mecrosomes(thiobarbituric acid reactive substances(TBARS) contents) were investigated. For is purpose , we used the murine chemical hepatocardinogenic procedure induced by modified Ito model, which consists of 200mg/kg body weight diethylinitrosamine (DEN) injection, 0.01% 2-acethlaminoflurene(2-AAF) feeding for 6 weeks, and partial hepatectomy on week 3. Weanling Sprague-Dawley male rats were fed pulverized Purina rat chow with 15, 000IU/kg diet vitamin E from initiation or promotion stages. We found that vitamin E supplement decreased the area of GST-P positive foci. Catalase, glutathione peroxidase, glutathione reductase. GST activities, and TBARS contents were decreased. On the other hand G6Pase activities were increased by vitamin E supplement. It seemed that vitamin E supplements helped endogenous defense systems against carcinogenesis by decreasing TBARS contents, $H_2O$$_2$ and organic peroxides. So, vitamin E seemed to protect cell from free radical damage in carcinogenesis. Anticarcinogenic effects of vitamin E were more effective at intiation that at promotion stage. These results suggest that vitamin E has suppressive effects on hepatocellular chemical carcinogenesis, probably through antioxidant effects against TBARS contents $H_2O$$_2$ and orgainc peroxides.

Fe­석류석인 경우, 사면체 배위를 하는 Fe의 이온반경이 Si보다 크기 때문에 고준위 방사성 폐기물에 다량 함유되어 있는 악티나이드 원소들을 고정화시킬 수 있는 매트릭스로 고려되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 $Ca_{2,5}$C $e_{0.5}$Z $r_2$F $e_3$ $O_{12}$ 및 $Ca_2$CeZrFeF $e_3$ $O_{12}$인 조성을 가진 석류석을 합성하여 이들의 상평형 관계 및 특성을 연구하였다. 혼합된 시료는 200∼400 kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$의 압력으로 성형한 후, 1100∼140$0^{\circ}C$ 범위에서 온도 및 분위기를 변화시키면서 소결하였으며 합성된 시료는 XRD, SEM/EDS를 사용하여 상분석과 정량분석을 실시하였다. 실험결과, 이들 조성을 가진 석류석들은 130$0^{\circ}C$로 가열하였을 때, 최적 합성상을 얻을 수 있었지만 소량의 페롭스카이트 등 부수상이 공존하였다. $Ca_{2,5}$C $e_{0.5}$Z $r_2$F $e_3$ $O_{12}$ 및 $Ca_2$CeZrFeF $e_3$ $O_{12}$인 조성으로부터 합성된 Fe­석류석의 조성이 각각 $Ca_{2.5­3.2}$C $e_{0.3­0.7}$Z $r_{1.8­2.8}$F $e_{1.9­3.2}$ $O_{12}$ 및 $Ca_{2.2­2.5}$C $e_{0.8­1.0}$Z $r_{1.3­1.6}$F $e_{0.4­.07}$ F $e_{3­3.2}$ $O_{12}$였다. 특히 화학양론적 조성과 비교시, 합성된 석류석의 8배위 자리를 점하고 있는 Ca이 초과된 양상을 보였고, Ce의 함량은 초과 또는 결핍된 양상을 보였다. 이는 8배위 자리에서의 Ca과 Ce의 이온반경의 상대적인 차이 및 전하보상적 차원에서 비롯된 것으로 해석된다.에서 비롯된 것으로 해석된다.

Nowadays, distributed mobility management (DMM) approaches have been widely adopted to address the limitations of centralized architectural methods to support seamless data transmission schemes in wireless sensor networks. This paper deals with the end-to-end (E2E) integration of Network Mobility (NEMO) basic support protocol in distributed wireless sensor network systems in structural health and environmental monitoring of social overhead capital (SOC) public infrastructures such as bridges, national highways, tunnels, and railroads. The proposed scheme takes advantage of the features of both the NEMO basic support protocol and partially distributed network-based DMM framework in providing seamless data transmission and robust mobility support. The E2E seamless data transmission scheme allows mobile users to roam from fixed-point network access locations and mobile platforms (i.e., vehicles such as cars, buses, and trains) without disconnecting its current sessions (i.e., seamless handover).

The transcription factor E2F1 coordinates cell cycle progression and induces apoptosis in response to DNA damage stress. Aside from DNA damage, the role of E2F1 in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress signaling pathways is unclear. We found that $E2F1^{-/-}$ murine embryonic fibroblasts (MEFs) are resistant to apoptosis triggered by the ER stress inducer thapsigargin. In addition, E2F1 deficiency results in enhanced phosphorylation of eukaryotic translation initiation factor $2{\alpha}$ ($elF2{\alpha}$). These results therefore indicate that E2F1 deficiency increases phosphorylation of $elF2{\alpha}$ in response to ER stress triggered by thapsigargin, and suggest that the reduction in ER stress-induced apoptosis in E2F1-deficient cells is related to the high level of $elF2{\alpha}$ phosphorylation.

B2B 전자상거래 보증 서비스는 신용보증기금과 은행, e마켓플레이스 간에 전산시스템을 연결하여 신용보증 신청에서부터 보증서 발급, 상거래 계약, 대금결제가 인터넷 상에서 이루어지는 보증 서비스를 말한다. B2B 전자상거래 보증 서비스는 대기업에 비해 상대적으로 규모가 작고, 신용도가 낮으며, 여러 면에 있어 불리한 상태에 있는 중소기업이 필요한 자금을 원활히 공급받을 수 있도록 매개역할을 하는 제도이다. B2B 전자상거래 보증 서비스의 다양한 장점에도 불구하고 인지도 부족과 전자보증에 대한 잘못된 이해, 온라인상에서 결제하는데 대한 막연한 심리적 불안감 등으로 인해서 빠른 확산이 이뤄지지 않고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 B2B 전자상거래 보증 서비스의 효과 및 가치를 데이터와 사례들을 통해 분석해보고자 한다. 이를 위해 B2B 전자상거래 보증 서비스 및 e-Marketplace에 대한 분석을 시작으로 서비스 이해관계자 별 성과항목 도출, 중소기업 지원 및 사회 경제적 성과 분석 등을 진행하였다.

Interspecific hybrids between tiger grouper Epinephelus fuscoguttatus and giant grouper E. lanceolatus were genetically identified based on the partial sequence analysis of mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase I (COX I) gene and nuclear recombination activating gene 2 (RAG 2) gene. Out of 585 base positions of RAG 2, a total of five nucleotide substitutions were detected between the two parental species (E. fuscoguttatus and E. lanceolatus). The hybrids had two distinct types of RAG 2 sequences corresponding to those of both parental species. Mitochondrial COX I gene sequencing showed that hybrids had sequences identical to E. fuscoguttatus. Molecular data clearly demonstrate that hybridization does occur between E. fuscoguttatus and E. lanceolatus, but with E. fuscoguttatus as the maternal parent.

This study is intended to identify success factors which influence the performance of the B2B e-marketplaces.Thestudyisfocused on the supply companies and conducted to provide local small businesses with guidelines to improve their competitiveness and to develop appropriate business strategies in the digital economy age. Based on the literature review, four characteristics which influence the performance of B2B e-marketplaces are identified. Such characteristics as strategic, operational, organizational, and product/service properties are then utilized to develop the survey questionaire. The data collection is first performed through e-mail and, after finding out the response rate was too poor to analyze the results, followed by visits to the companies which participate in e-marketplaces. SAS 8.1 is used for the data analysis. Demographic analysis is conducted to generate the general information of the companies responded, and factor analysis is performed for the validity test. Finally, multiple regression is used for the hypothesis testing. This study is expected to contribute to find out critical factors for the success of B2B e-marketplaces and suggest guidelines for local small businesses to develop an appropriate e-business strategy to improve their competitive position.

The isolated strips of tortoise intestine are evaluated as a test organ for bioassay of prostaglandin $E_1$. This preparation responded highly sensitively to $PGE_1$ and $PGE_2$ in picogram concentration range. The mean slope and the value of precision index among the doses of 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5ng/ml in final concentration were 37.7 and 0.143, respectively. And this was relatively insensitive to different prostaglandins; $E_1/E_2{\gtrsim}1$, $E_1/A_2{\sim}50$ and $E_1/F_{2\alpha}{\sim}100$, and showed the dual responses to 5-hydroxytryptamine and histamine; initial contraction followed by relaxation. The dose-ratio inducing the relative equal contraction height for $PGE_1$, acetylcholine, caerulein, angiotensin and barium chloride was 0.4 : 50 : 25 : 10 : 100 in this order. These results suggest that the intestinal strips of the tortoise are suitable for bioassay of prostaglandin $E_1$ and $E_2$ between the doses of 0.1 and 1.0 ng/ml level in the tissue extracts.

The E2F gene family appears to regulate the proliferation and differentiation of events that are required for adipogenesis. Pref-1 is a transmembrane protein that inhibits adipocyte differentiation in 3T3-L1 cells. In this study, we found that the expression of pref-1 is regulated by the transcription factor E2F1. The expression of pref-1 and E2F1 was strongly induced in preadipocytes and at the late differentiation stage. Using luciferase reporter assay, ChIP assay and EMSA, we found that the -211/-194 region of the pref-1 promoter is essential for the binding of E2F1 as well as E2F1-dependent transcriptional activation. Knockdown of E2F1 reduced both pref-1 promoter activity and the level of pref-1 mRNA. Taken together, our data suggest that transcriptional activation of pref-1 is stimulated by E2F1 protein in adipocytes.

The E2 protein of HCV (hepatitis C virus) is thought to have a potential role in the development of subunit vaccines and diagnostics. To express it by the insect cell/baculovirus expression (Bacu) system, we constructed a recombinant Autographa californica nuclear polyhedrosis virus (AcIL3E2), determined the most appropriate expression conditions in terms of host cell line and culture medium, and characterized the expressed HCV E2 protein. A culture system using Trichoplusia ni BTI-TN5Bl-4 cells and SF 900IISFM medium expressed a relatively high level of HCV E2 protein. It was revealed that its glycosylation properties and subcellular localization were almost the same as the ones in the mammalian cell expression system previously reported, suggesting the recombinant HCV E2 protein derived from our Bacu system can be utilized for development of a subunit vaccine and diagnostics. Interestingly, HCV E2 protein was not degraded at all even at 43 h post-heat shock in the heat shock-induced necrotic cells, probably due to its integration into the microsomal membrane, indicating that heat shock can be employed to purify HCV E2 protein.
