Currently, photodetectors are being extensively studied and developed for next-generation applications, such as in autonomous vehicles and image sensors. In this regard, all-inorganic metal halide perovskite (CsPbX3; X = Cl, Br, and I) nanocrystals (NCs) have emerged as promising building blocks for various applications owing to their high absorption coefficients, tunable bandgaps, high defect tolerances, and solution processability. These features, which are typically required for the development of advanced optoelectronics, can be engineered by modifying the chemical compositions and surface chemistry of the NCs. Herein, we briefly review various strategies adopted for the application of CsPbX3 perovskite NCs in photodetectors and for improving device performance. First, modifications of the chemical compositions of CsPbX3 NCs to tune their optical bandgaps and improve the charge-transport mechanism are discussed. Second, the application of surface chemistry to improve oxidation resistance and carrier mobility is described. In the future, perovskite NCs with prospective features, such as non-toxicity and high resistance to external stimuli, are expected to be developed for practical applications.
$TiO_2/CH_3NH_3Pb_{1-x}Sb_xI_{3-3x}Br_{3x}-based$ photovoltaic devices were fabricated by a spin-coating method using mixture solutions with $SbBr_3$. Effects of $SbBr3$, CsI or RbBr addition to $CH_3NH_3PbI_3$ precursor solutions on the photovoltaic properties where investigated. The short-circuit current densities and photoconversion efficiencies were improved by adding a small amount of $SbBr_3$, CsI or RbBr to the perovskite phase, which would be due to the doping effect of Sb, Br and Cs/Rb atom at the Pb, I and $CH_3NH3$ sites, respectively.
In this work, narrow-band green-emitting CsPbBr3 particles are embedded in commercialized glass composites by a facile dry process. By optimizing the method through sintering in glass frit (GF) composites including CsBr and PbBr2, used as precursors, the encapsulation of CsPbBr3 particles made them waterproof with green fluorescence. To improve the fluorescent properties by reducing aggregation of CsPbBr3, fumed silica (FS) is additionally used to help particles avoid bulking up in the glass matrix. The CsPbBr3 perovskite/glass composites are characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) maps, which support the existence of CsPbBr3 particles in the glass matrix. The photoluminescence (PL) properties demonstrate that the emission spectrum peak, full width at half maximum (FWHM), and photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) values are 519 nm, 17 nm, and 17.7 %. We also confirm the water-resistant properties. To enhance water/moisture stability, the composite sample is put directly into water, with its PLQY monitored periodically under UV light.
Cesium lead halide ($CsPbX_3$) nanocrystals have emerged as a new family of semiconductor nanomaterials that can outperform existing semiconductor nanocrystals owing to their superb optical and charge transport properties. Although these materials are expected to have many superior properties, control of the quantum confinement and isoelectronic magnetic doping, which can greatly enhance their optical, electronic, and magnetic properties, has faced significant challenges. These obstacles have hindered full utilization of the benefits that can be obtained by using $CsPbX_3$ nanocrystals exhibiting strong quantum confinement or coupling between exciton and magnetic dopants, which have been extensively explored in many other semiconductor quantum dots. Here, we review progress made during the past several years in tackling the issues of introducing controllable quantum confinement and doping of $Mn^{2+}$ ions as the prototypical magnetic dopant in colloidal $CsPbX_3$ nanocrystals.
An angular dependence experiment was made and a performance test of the Teledyne dosimetry system was done in accordance with the ANSI N13.11-1992. The angular dependence experiment was performed with $^{137}Cs$ and low energy X-ray beam. Teledyne dosimetry system performed well at the $0^{\circ}$ angle of incidence for all dosimeters in both vertical and horizontal irradiations. It would have easily passed the 0.5 tolerance limit. But the dosimetry system was not performed well at the ${\pm}60^{\circ}$ angle of incidence for low energy X-ray beam. The accuracy for $^{137}Cs$ beam at all angles of incidence was within the 0.5 tolerance limit. Therefore performance of the dosimetry system could be considered acceptable in case that the dosimeter is irradiated to $^{137}Cs$ beam. However, it could not be acceptable for the dosimeter irradiated to low energy X-ray, especially at more than ${\pm}40^{\circ}$

Halide perovskite nanocrystals have become attractive for LED applications due to their high color purity and excellent luminescent properties. $CsPbX_3$ (X = I, Br, and Cl) nanocrystals were synthesized by hot-injection method and the emission wavelength was controlled by changing the composition of halide ion. Green- and red-emitting films were fabricated using a polymer binder. The outstanding optical properties of the synthesized nanocrystals and fabricated films were confirmed. The wLED designed by green- and red-emitting perovskite nanocrystal films on blue InGaN LED was characterized.

Recently perovskite materials with much cheaper cost and marvellous optoelectronic properties have been studied for next generation LED display devices overseas. Technology development trends of inorganic $CsPbX_3$(X=halogen) based LEDs (PeLEDs) with assumed high stability were investigated on literature worldwide. It was found that syntheses methods of these nanocrystals (NCs, mainly quantum dots, QDs) made great progress. A new room temperature synthesis method showed outstanding PL (photoluminescence) properties such as high quantum yield (QY), narrow emission width, storage stability comparable with, or often exceeding those of conventional hot injection method and CdSe@ZnS type inorganic colloidal QDs. PeLEDs with shell layers might be more promising, indicating urgent real research start of this solution processing technology for small businesses in Korea.

A solid state chemical approach to discover new mateials with enhanced thermoelectric properties is described. The aim is to construct three-dimensional bismuth chalcogenide framework structures which contain tonically interacting alkali or alkaline earth atoms. The alkali atoms tend to have soft "rattling" type phonon modes which result in very low thermal conductivity in these materials. Another desirable feature in this class of compounds is the low crystal symmetry and narrow band-gaps. Several promising materials such as BaBiTe3, KBi6.33S10, K2Bi8S13, β-K2Bi8Se13, K2.5Bi8.5Se14, Ba4Bi6Se13, Eu2Pb2Bi6Se13, Al1+xPb4-2xSb7+xSe15 (A=K, Rb), and CsBi4Te6 are described.
This study aimed to fundamentally understand changes of cell parameters of cation-exchanged mordenites using high resolution X-ray powder diffraction for studies that immobilization of various heavy metal cation using synthesis mordenite (Na6.6Al6.6Si41.4O96·20.4H2O, Na-MOR). As a results of measurement by Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), it was confirmed that 19.4, 20.4 water molecules per unit cell were present in monovalent-cation substituted MOR (Cs-MOR, Na-MOR), and 21, 23.1, 23.2 water molecules per unit cell were present in divalent-cation substituted MOR (Pb-MOR, Sr-MOR, Cd-MOR). The space group of all the samples were identified as Cmcm belonging to the orthorhombic crystal system. Compared to Na-MOR, starting material, relative peak intensity of (110) and (200) is significantly changed after cation substitution whereas peak position is almost similar. Also, (220) peak that was not found in Na-MOR was clearly observed in Pb-, Cd- and Sr-exchanged MOR. Thus, it was estimated that changes of atomic distribution usually occurred on ab-plane while changes of cell parameters were little. Detailed changes in the cell parameters of cation-exchanged mordenites were derived from whole profile fitting method using the GSAS suite program. Changes in the axial lengths and unit cell volume of cation substitution showed different relationship depending on ionic radius and charge number. In case of monovalent-cation substituted MOR, the length of a-axis increases whereas the length of b- and c-axis decrease by absorbed cation radius. In the case of divalent-cation exchanged MOR, the length of a-axis usually decreases while the length of b- and c-axis increases by cation radius. It was confirmed that unit cell volume of monovalent and divalent cation substituted MORs had an independent tendency by cation radius.
