니켈기 초합금의 고온산화거동과 표면개질에 관한 연구 (High temperature oxidation behavior and surface modification of Ni-based superalloys)

  • Ni기 초합금은 Co, Cr, Mo, W등의 고용 강화 원소와 AI, Ti, Nb, Ta 등의 $\gamma '$ 석출 강화 원소로 구성되어 있다. 초합금의 기계적 성질과 내산화성을 개선하기 위하여 희토류 원소를 재료 내부에 첨가하거나, 코팅 재료로써 사용하고 있다. 이들 희토류 원소는 $Al_2O_3, Cr_2O_3$등의 산화물의 종류에 따라 산화물의 성장 속도와 밀착성에 영향을 미친다. Hf함유 Ni기 초합금 AF115와 $AI_2O_3$ 함유 MA6000초합금 2종을 이온 코터를 이용, Yttrium 표면개질후, 온도 1273K-1473K에서 고온 산화 수 산호 피막의 성장 속도, 결정립, 내부 구조 및 내박리성에 미치는 Yttrium 의 영향을 조사하였다. AF115와 MA6000 초합금에 Yttrium코팅을 한 결과 내부 산화물의 성장에 현저한 변화가 있었다. Yttrium의 표면 개질에 의하여, AF115의 경우는 $AI_2O_3$ 주성분의 입계 집중과 Hf의 우선 산확 억제되고, 삼각 형태의 내부 산화물이 plate형으로 변화되었다. MA6000의 경우 $AI_2O_3$ 주성분의 산화층이$Cr_2O_3$주성분의 외부 산화층과$AI_2O_3$ 주성분의 내부층으로 변화되었다.

Mn 및 Cr 주강의 주형반응에 관한 연구 (Study on Mold-Metal Reaction in Castings of Mn-Steel and Cr-Steel)

  • In order to investigate the mold reaction characteristics of Mn steel and Cr steel castings individually, the mold reaction products were examined by scanning electron microscopy, electron prove microanalyzer and X-ray diffractometer. From this experiment, the results were summarized as follows: 1) The mold reaction depth increased with increase of Mn content, while it decreased with increase of Cr content. 2) Mold reaction depth decreased with Mn content at $1200^{\circ}C$. 3) Mn, among the reaction products, forms a low fusion silicate, Mn $O.SiO_2$ while Cr forms a stable oxide, $CrO_3$ which hindering the reaction between FeO and $SiO_2$ thus the formation of $FeO.SiO_2$ was depressed.

  • AlCrNO cermet films were prepared on aluminum substrates using a DC-reactive magnetron sputtering method and a water-cooled Al:Cr target. The Al2O3/AlCrNO (LMVF)/AlCrNO (MMVF)/AlCrNO (HMVF)/Al/substrate of the 5 multi-layers was prepared according to the Ar and (N2 + O2) gas-mixture rates. The Al2O3 of the top layer is the anti-reflection layer of triple AlCrNO (LMVF)/AlCrNO (MMVF)/AlCrNO (HMVF) layers, and an Al metal forms the infrared reflection layer. In this study, the crystallinity and surface properties of the AlCrNO thin films were estimated using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), while the composition of the thin films was systematically investigated using Auger electron spectroscopy (AES). The optical properties of the wavelength spectrum were recorded using UH4150 spectrophotometry (UV-Vis-NIR) at a range of 0.3 μm to 2.5 μm.

  • This paper reports the wear characteristics of two types of coating materials, which are $Cr_2O_3$ and $ZrO_2$, by coated plasma thermal spray method. The wear test was carried out under air, grease, and bearing fluid conditions. The wear testing machine of a pin-on disk type were used to measure friction forces, friction coefficients and the weight losses of the coating specimens on the various sliding velocity and loading condition. The wear surface of specimens were observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) photographs.

  • NiO catalysts/$Al_2O_3$/FeCrAl alloy foam for hydrogen production was prepared using atomic layer deposition (ALD) and subsequent dip-coating methods. FeCrAl alloy foam and $Al_2O_3$ inter-layer were used as catalyst supports. To improve the dispersion and stability of NiO catalysts, an $Al_2O_3$ inter-layer was introduced and their thickness was systematically controlled to 0, 20, 50 and 80 nm using an ALD technique. The structural, chemical bonding and morphological properties (including dispersion) of the NiO catalysts/$Al_2O_3$/FeCrAl alloy foam were characterized by X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, field-emission scanning electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive spectroscopy. In particular, to evaluate the stability of the NiO catalysts grown on $Al_2O_3$/FeCrAl alloy foam, chronoamperometry tests were performed and then the ingredient amounts of electrolytes were analyzed via inductively coupled plasma spectrometer. We found that the introduction of $Al_2O_3$ inter-layer improved the dispersion and stability of the NiO catalysts on the supports. Thus, when an $Al_2O_3$ inter-layer with a 80 nm thickness was grown between the FeCrAl alloy foam and the NiO catalysts, it indicated improved dispersion and stability of the NiO catalysts compared to the other samples. The performance improvement can be explained by optimum thickness of $Al_2O_3$ inter-layer resulting from the role of a passivation layer.

Dielectric, Pyroelectric and Piezoelectric Properties of 0.7PMN-0.3PT Ceramics Modified With Cr$_2$O$_3$

  • The effect of 0-0.7 ㏖% addition of $Cr_2$$O_3$on the dielectric, pyroelectric, and piezoelectric properties were studied in the (Mg$0.7Pb_{1}$$3/Nb_{2}$3/)$O_3$-$0.3PbTiO_3$(0.7PMN-0.3PT) ceramics with composition near the morphotropic phase boundary. The dielectric constant and loss of the ceramics samples were measured as a function of temperature at various frequencies (0.1-100 KHz). The pyroelectric coefficient was measured by using the Byer-Roundy method as a function of temperature. Dielectric, pyroelectric, and piezoelectric constant achieved the maximum values of 0.4 ㏖% $Cr_2$$O_3$The transition temperature is continuously shifted to lower temperature with an increase of a small amount of $Cr_2$$O_3$.

ZnO 박막과 금속전극과의 계면특성조사 (The Characterization of Interfaces between ZnO Thin Films and Metal Electrodes)

  • 본 연구는 rf reactive magnetron sputtering 방법으로 증착한 ZnO 박막을 압전진동 자로 제작하였을 때 발생하는 금속전극과의 계면특성에 대해 조사하였다. 이때 ZnO 박막은 금속 아연 target을 산소분위기에서 sputtering하여 얻었다. 미리 얻은 최적성장조건으로 Cr/ZnO/Cr의 구조을 갖는 압전 진동자를 제작한 후, 금속전극과 ZnO 박막과의 계면특성을 분석하였다. 제작된 압전진동자는 I-V 측정, AES depth profile, SEM, C-V 측정등을 이용 하여 분석하였고, 이러한 분석 결과 금속전극과 ZnO 박막 사이에 $SiO_2$ 확산방지막을 쌓은 Cr/ $SiO_2$/ZnO/Cr의 구조로 ZnO 압전진동자를 제작했을 때 좋은 특성을 보임을 알 수 있었 다. 그리고, 이러한 사실은 제작된 진동자를 구동시키고 이에 대한 인가진동수에 따른 진동 변위를 측정해보므로써 확인할 수 있었다.

산화크롬/몰리브덴 복합 플라즈마 용사 코팅의 마찰, 마모 특성 연구 (A study on friction and wear properties of plasma-sprayed $Cr_2O_3/Mo$ composite coatings)

  • Plasma-sprayed coatings were obtained by spray-dried $Cr_2O_3$ powder with and without Mo addition. A reciprocal type tribo-tester was employed to examine friction and wear behavior of the specimens at room temperature. The composition and the worn surface of coated specimens were observed by XRD and SEM. The results showed that friction Coefficient of the Mo added specimens were lower than one of $Cr_2O_3$ specimen. But $Cr_2O_3$ specimen had a lower wear loss. Protecting layer were observed at the worn surface of coated specimens with Mo addition.

  • High temperature oxidation of Fe-19Cr and Fe-19Cr-0.2Ti alloys is studied at 1173-1373 K in 16.5 kPa $O_2$ - balances $N_2$ atmosphere aimed at clarifying the effect of titanium addition. Oxidation rate of Fe-19Cr alloy was accelerated with titanium. For both alloys chromium rich $(Fe,\;Cr)_2O_3$ was formed as a major oxidation product. On Fe-19Cr-0.2Ti alloy, a thin layer composed of spinel type oxide and titanium oxide was also formed and an internal oxidation of titanium was observed. Titanium was concentrated at the oxide surface and internal oxidation zone but a small amount of titanium was also found in the intermediate corundum type $(Fe,\;Cr)_2O_3$ layer. Crystals of corundum type $(Fe,\;Cr)_2O_3$ formed on Fe-19Cr alloy are coarse but that formed on Fe-19Cr -0.2Ti alloys were fine and columnar. Reason for the difference in oxidation kinetics and crystal structure will be discussed relating to the distribution of aliovalent titanium in corundum type $(Fe,\;Cr)_2O_3$ oxide layer.

  • 역스피넬 산화물 $Fe_3O_4$에 Cr을 치환하여 얻어지는 $Cr_xFe_{3-x}O_4$ 박막 시료들을 졸-겔 스핀코팅 방법을 이용하여 제작하고 그 구조적, 전자기적 특성들에 대한 측정 및 분석을 수행하였다. X선 회절 측정 결과, Cr 성분비가 증가함에 따라 격자상수가 소폭 감소하는 것이 관측되었다. 이는 Fe 이온에 비해 이온반경이 상대적으로 작은 Cr 이온이 +3의 이온수를 가지고 8면체 자리를 치환하는 것으로 설명 가능하다. 시료들에 대한 진동시료자화를 측정한 결과, Cr 성분비 증가에 따라 포화자화량이 $Fe_3O_4$에 비하여 점차적으로 감소하였는데, 이는 8면체 자리의 $Fe^{3+}(d^5)$$Cr^{3+}(d^3)$ 나타내는 스핀 자기능률 값의 비교를 통하여 설명 가능하다. 또한, 자기저항 효과도 Cr 성분비 증가에 따라 포화자화량과 유사한 추세로 감소하였다. $Cr_xFe_{3-x}O_4$ 박막 시료들의 보자력은 Cr 성분비 증가에 따라 증가함을 보였는데, 이는 $Cr^{3+}$ 이온의 8면체 자리 치환에 따른 자기 이방성의 증가에 기인하는 것으로 해석된다.
