$N_2$처리에 의해 Si (001) 기판에 형성된 C49상의 구조를 갖는 에피택셜 $TiSi_2$상의 열적 거동과 결정학적 특성을 X선 회절법 (XRD)과 고분해능 투과전자현미경법 (HRTEM)으로 조사하였다. 에피택결 $C49-TiSi_2$상은 $1000^{\circ}C$ 정도의 고온에서도 안정상인 C54상으로 상변태하지 않고 형태적으로도 고온 특성이 우수하다는 것이 밝혀졌다. HRTEM 결과로부터 에피택결 $TiSi_2$상과 Si 사이의 결정학적 방위관계는 (060) [001]TiSi$_2$//(002) [110]Si임을 알 수 있었고 계면에서의 격자 변형에너지는 misfit 전위의 형성에 의하여 해소되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 HRTEM상의 해석과 원자 모델링을 통하여 Si에서 에피택셜 C49-TiSi$_2$상의 형성기구와 C49상의 (020) 면에 존재하는 적층결함을 고찰하였다.

안트라센 유도체-합성DNA의 결합형태를 여러 가지 분광학적인 방법들을 통해서 알아보았다. Methylamine과 methylethylenediamine, 즉, 길이가 다른 곁사슬을 가지는 안트라센 유도체들이 poly[d(A-T)2]와 $poly[d(G-C)_2]$의 이중나선에 결합했을 때의 분광학적인 특성은 흡광, 원편광스펙트럼에서 봉우리의 장파장으로 이동, 흡광도의 감소를 볼 수 있으며, 선편광스펙트럼에서는 DNA흡광 영역에서 강한 음의 봉우리가 나타나는 것으로 요약할 수 있다. 이러한 현상들은 안트라센·유도체들이 위의 두 가지 DNA의 염기쌍 사이에 삽입이 되어있다는 것을 증명한다. 곁사슬의 길이에 따른 분광학적인 특성에는 별 차이가 없는 것으로 보아 곁사슬의 길이는 결합형태에 영향을 미치지 앓는다는 것을 알 수 있다. 또한, 강한 에너지의 전달이 $pdy[d(A-T)_2]$와 $poly[d(I-C)_2]$에는 일어나지만 $poly[d(G-C)_2]$에는 일어나지 않는 것으로 보아 $poly[d(G-C)_2]$의 작은 흠쪽에 돌출해 있는 아민기가 DNA염기로부터의 에너지의 전달을 방해하고 있는 것으로 판단된다.

To get rid of cell assembly margin and have more process room of upper substrate, we developed truly COT (Color Filter On TFF Array) LCDs in that B/M (Black Matrix) as well as C/F (Color Filter) layer is located on TFT substrate. Novel B/M material is also developed for this COT structure. Difficulty in making contact hole through C/F layer was solved by making each C/F pattern isolated from others. We think this configuration will be core technology for prominent COT LCDs.

The effects of Reynolds number (Re), freestream turbulence intensity (Tu) and integral length scale (${\Lambda}$) on the drag coefficient ($C_d$) of a circular cylinder in cross flow were experimentally studied for $6.45{\times}10^3$ < Re < $1.82{\times}10^4$. With the help of orificed plates, Tu was fixed at approximately 0.5%, 5%, 7% and 9% and the normalized integral length scale (L/D) was varied from 0.35 to 1.05. Our turbulent results confirmed the general trend of decreasing $C_d$ with increasing Tu. The effectiveness of Tu in reducing $C_d$ is found to lessen with increasing ${\Lambda}$/D. Most interestingly, freestream turbulence of low Tu (${\approx}5%$) and large ${\Lambda}$/D (${\approx}1.05$) can increase the $C_d$ above the corresponding smooth flow value.

Syntheses of carbapenam skeletons were achieved from 1,3-propanediol through 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition. 3-(Tetrahydropyran-2-yloxy)-(10) and 3-(t-butyldimethylsilyloxy) propanal (13) were obtained from 1,3-propanediol. 3-Hydroxypropanals (10, 13, 14) were reacted with N-hydroxyglycine esters to give C-(2-hydroxyethyl)-N-alkoxycarbonylmethylnitrones (15a-15d). 1,3-Dipolar cycloaddition of the nitrones with methyl acrylate or ethyl crotonate gave 3-(2-hydroxyethyl)isoxazolidines (16a-16b, 17a-17b, 18, 19a-19b). 3-(2-Hydroxyethyl)isoxazolidines (17a, 17c, 19a, 19b) were converted to 3-(2-iodoethyl)isoxazolidines (21a-21d) or 3-phenylthiocarbonylmethylisoxazolidines (25a-25d) which were cyclized to give 2-oxa-1-azabicyclo[3.3.0]octanedicarboxylates (22a-22d, 26a-26d). 2-Oxa-1-azabicyclo[3.3.0]octane-4,8-dicarboxylates (22c-22d, 26c-26d) were transformed to 6-(l-hydroxyethyl)carbapenam-3-carboxylates (30a-30b, 31a-31b).

Bacillus sphaericss 1593균주를 ultra violet light (366nm, 253.7nm)와 dimethyl sulfate으로 처리하여 다수의 감온성 돌연변이체를 분리하여 이중 25균주를 선택하였고 24개의 감온성 돌연변이체는 $42^{\circ}C$의 제한온도에서 전혀 성장을 하지 않았으며, 9개의 감온성 돌연변이체는 제한온도 $42^{\circ}C$에서 허용온도의 성장과 비교하여 1/2정도의 감소를 보였다. 기타 2개의 감온성 돌연변이체는 저온 민감성인 감온성 돌연변이체로서 허용온도($30^{\circ}C$)에서의 성장이 제한온도($42^{\circ}C$) 성장보다 감소를 보였다. 이러한 결과에 따라서 감온성 돌연변이체를 치사군과 비치사군 및 저온민감성 감온성 돌연변이체로 분리할 수 있었다. 또한 치사군의 제한온도에서의 발육은 고체배지 및 액체배지 양쪽에서 성장을 하지 않는 반면 비치사군들의 돌연변이체들은 제한온도 $42^{\circ}C$에서 고체배지 및 액체배지의 성장은 허용온도에서 배양한 결과보다 저조한 성장을 나타내었다. 감온성 돌연변이체들은 $42^{\circ}C$에서 12시간 배양한 후 허용온도인 $30^{\circ}C$ 액체배지로 이식하여 배양한 결과 치사군중 ts-U1112, ts-D1290, ts-D1342, ts-D1504 돌연변이체들은 성장을 계속하지 않았으며, ts-U351, ts-U828, ts-U892, ts-D1350, ts-D1479, ts-D2601과 ts-D2801 돌연변이체들은 성장이 계속됨을 관찰할 수 있었다.

Based on Computer graphics molecular modeling method, quinolone derivatives as DNA-gyrase inhibitors formed stable DNA-intercalation complex with deoxycytidilyl-3',5'-deoxy guanosine[d($C_{p}G)_{2}$] dinucleotide. When d($C_{p}G)_{2}$ and d($A_{p}T)_{2}$, were compared in order to find out which DNA could form more stable DNA-Drug complex based on interaction energy($\Delta$E) and DNA-Drug complex energy, d($C_{p}G)_{2}$ resulted in lower energy than d($A_{p}T)_{2}$.
