The influence of liquid shotcrete accelerators(alkali aluminate, two types of alkali-free) was investigated. Comparing to the existing alkali aluminate accelerator, new alkali-free accelerator, AF2, shortened initial and final setting of cement system, and after curing for 1 day compressive strength was analogous with others. On the other hand, compressive strength of specimen cured for 12 hour was the highest by the addition of alkali aluminate accelerator, but final strength was the lowest by that. But compressive strengths of AF1, AF2 were similar to Plain up to 28day. Further from XRD(X-Ray Diffractometer) and DSC(Differential Scanning Calorimeter) analyses, we confirmed that setting promoted by alkali aluminate was mainly because of Ca(OH)2(calcium hydroxide), but the accelerating behavior of alkali-free was influenced by the needle-like ettringite$(6CaO{\cdot}Al_2O_3{\cdot}3SO_3{\cdot}32H_2O)$ crystal.
Animal manure is produced annually 43.7 million tonnes in Korea. Among them, about 85.6 % are used as compost or liquid fertilizer to the agricultural land. The animal manure can be effectively utilized by mixing with organic byproducts that result in generation of biogas from anaerobic co-digestion process. This study aimed to optimize the content of total solid materials (TS) and determine the effect of organic byproduct on the co-digestion process. Prior to the byproduct treatments, determination of proper content of TS was conducted by controlling at 5 or 10 %. For the byproduct treatments, swine manure without adding the byproduct was used for control treatment, and swine manure mixed with either corn silage or kitchen waste was used for other treatments. Volume of biomethane ($CH_4$) generated from digested materials was quantified before and after byproduct treatments. In result, a 1.4-fold higher biomethane, about 0.556 L/$L{\cdot}d$, was produced when the content of TS was controlled at 10 %, compared at 5 %, about 0.389 L/$L{\cdot}d$. When the swine manure was mixed with the corn silage or kitchen waste, a two-fold higher biomethane was produced, about 1.theand 1.0heL/$L{\cdot}d$, respectively, compared to the control treatment. Biogas production from organic dry matter (odm) was a3, 362eand 2h6 L/kg odm${\cdot}$d for control, corn silage, and kitchen waste treatment, respectively. The lower biogas production in the treatment of kitchen waste than that of corn silage is associated with its relatively high odm contents. The methane concentration during the whole process ranged from 40 at the beginning to 70 % at the end of process for both the control and kitchen waste treatments, and ranged from 52 to 70 % for the corn silage treatment. Hydrogen sulfide ($H_2S$) concentration ranged between 350 and 500 ppm. All the integrated results indicate that addition of organic byproduct into animal manure can double the generation of biogas from anaerobic fermentation process.

White and black garlic pastes were fermented by Leuconostoc mesenteroides and evaluated for its rheological and functional properties such as consistency, antioxidant and angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitory activity. The pH, acidity and solid content of black garlic paste were 4.60, 1.23%, 22.63%, respectively. The viable cell counts and consistency of fermented garlic was decreased by adding higher amounts of black garlic paste. Fermentation of white garlic (40%)/black garlic (10%) showed viable cell counts of $1.6\times10^{11}$, fluid consistency of 9.31 $Pa{\cdot}s^n$. Water and 70% ethanol extract from fermented garlic showed the polyphenol content of 6.29mg/mL and 5.99 mg/mL, respectively. Also, water extract indicated the DPPH radical scavenging effects and angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitory activity with $IC_{50}$ 1.03 mg/mL and $IC_{50}$ 68.54 mg/mL, respectively. ACE inhibitory activity was increased with adding black garlic paste. Conversion of sucrose into dextran polymer in fermented garlic was drastically decreased by the addition of black garlic paste, indicating from 85% (0% black garlic) to 20% (20% black garlic) conversion yield. Garlic paste fermented with 10% black/40% white garlic showed the decrease in consistency and viable cell counts during both cold and freezing storages. In particular, consistency of fermented garlic was lower during freezing storage than cold storage, and the viable cell counts was drastically decreased after storage for 2 weeks.
$K^+-{\beta}^{{\prime}{\prime}}-Al_2O_3$ in the $K_2O-Li_2O-Al_2O_3$ ternary system was synthesized using aluminum nitrate solution as a starting material. For the synthesis of pure $K^+-{\beta}^{{\prime}{\prime}}-Al_2O_3$, raw materials with chemical composition of $0.84K_2O{\cdot}0.082Li_2O{\cdot}5.2Al_2O_3$ were mixed in solution state. The effects of dispersant and solution-pH were investigated in minimizing the particle size and on the synthesis of pure $K^+-{\beta}^{{\prime}{\prime}}-Al_2O_3$. Ethanol was used for a dispersant, and $NH_4OH$ solution and nitric acid were added for pH adjustment. The solution pH was increased from 1.0 to 7.5 by 0.5 increments. Each sample was calcined at $1200^{\circ}C$ for 2 h and characterized with X-ray diffraction and particle size analyzer. The pH of solution significantly effected both particle size and phase formation, while the addition of ethanol only effected particle size. The synthesis of pure $K^+-{\beta}^{{\prime}{\prime}}-Al_2O_3$ was favored by addition of nitric acid (for pH control).
In order to obtain the basic information for seedling production of surf clam, Spisula sachalinensis, spawning induction and egg development were investigated. $NH_4OH$ addition and serotonin injection could induce the spawning in surf clam. Water temperature rising, sperm suspension immersion, UV-ray irradiated seawater and $H_2O_2$ addition less affected on induction of spawning than $NH_4OH$ and serotonin did. On the other hand, males were more sensitive to the treatments than females. The response time to initial spawning in the case of $NH_4OH$ addition was $3\~4$ hours. However in the case of serotonin injection, it was within 5 minutes. The number of eggs released by $NH_4OH$ addition were significantly more than those released by serotonin injection. The serotonin injection induced higher rates of germinal vesicle breakdown than the $NH_4OH$ addition. Fertilizing and hatching rates of the eggs also were the similar results. Eggs of surf clam were demersal isolated eggs and averaging $65.2{\pm}±1.8\;{\mu}m$ in diameter after spawning. Optimum range of water temperature for the development of egg was $15\~20^{\circ}C$, The required time for development of D-shaped larvae was 42 hours at $15^{\circ}C$ and 27 hours at $20^{\circ}C$, respectively.

Thermal decomposition and stabilization characteristics of the solid cake after the dissolution of nitrate of the lagoon sludge was investigated. Most of the nitrates were dissolved in the water and removed to the filtrate, but small amount of nitrates, calcium carbonate and uranium were remained in the solid cake. The solid cake was thermally decomposed in the muffle furnace at $900^{\circ}C$ for 5 hours. Uranium, which is in the lagoon 1, was stabilized with $NaNO_3$ decomposition to $Na_{2}O{\cdot}2UO_3$ form. For the lagoon 2, it is confirmed that CaO, which was created by thermal decomposition of the $Ca(NO_3)_2$ and $CaCO_3$, was transferred to $Ca(OH)_2$ in the air with water. Because it is known that $Ca(OH)_2$ is stable material, further additives did not need to the stabilization of the thermal decomposition of the lagoons.
A potent lytic strain was selected by an extensive screening test of microorganisms isolated from soils and sewages on the medium containing baker's yeast as a carbon source. This strain (M-10) was identified to a strain of Humicola sp. by the Genera of Fungi (Clements, 1964). The strain was cultured on the basal medium composed of 2% of baker's yeast, 0.3% of $K_2HPO_4$, 0.01% of $MgSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O$, 0.1% of yeast extract in a shaking incubator. Cultural conditions for lytic enzyme production has been studied, and the results obtained were as follows: 1. The Optimal conditions for lytic enzyme production were: initial pH 5.5 to 6.0, temperature $33^{\circ}C$ in shaking culture. 2. Among the various carbon sources, baker's yeast (4%) was the best for lytic enzyme production, increasing the level of activity eight, times higher than when grown on glucose (1%). 3. The most effective concentration of $K_2HPO_4\;and\;MgSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O$ in the basal medium for lytic enzyme production was 0.1% and 0.01% respectively. 4. When the strain was cultured under the optimal conditions, the production of lytic enzyme was maximized in 72 hours.

The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of hot water and dipping times, and hot- PGR's solution on dormancy breaking of Lilium Oriental Hybrid 'Casa Blanca' and 'Siberia' bulblets regenerated in vitro. Hot-water treatments with distilled water were effective not sprouting rate but shortening of days to sprouting. While $100mg{\cdot}L^{-1}\;GA_{4+7}$ was effective in the dormancy breaking process of bulblets. The content of mitochondrial protein and fumarase activity were highest in bulblet of $100mg{\cdot}L^{-1}\;GA_{4+7}$ addition in hot water treatment. Therefore $GA_{4+7}$ addition in hot-water treatment seem to be the alternative dormancy breaking method to low-temperature treatment in Lilium Oriental Hybrid bulblet regenerated in vitro.

[ $CuAlO_2$ ] was used as P-type transparent conducting oxide. $CuAlO_2$ ceramics was obtained from heating a stoichiometric mixture of $Cu_2O$ and $Al_2OH_3$ at $1200^{\circ}C$ for 6h. $CuAlO_2$ ceramics were doped by the rate of 0, 5, 7 and 10% of the $BeSO_4{\cdot}4H_2O$. Sintered ceramics were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and electrical measurements. The room temperature conductivity of the ceramics, which were doped with $BeSO_4{\cdot}4H_2O$ 5wt% was of the order of $3.19\times10^{-3}S\;cm^{-1}$, and the density was $4.98g/cm^3$. Therefor the conductivity and density in $BeSO+4{\cdot}4H_2O$ 5wt% were better than other cases. Additionally, Seebeck cofficient measurements revealed that these ceramics were p-type semiconductors and the ceramic conductivity increased with the growth temperature.
Cellulose grafted with acrylic acid(AAc) was prepared by radiation grafting technique. The effects of reaction temperature. reaction time, monomer concentration, and the crosslinkers on the AAc grafting reaction on cellulose were examined. The amount of AAc grafted on the cellulose reached maximum at the concentration of 0.75vol% difunctional crosslinker and 1.0vol% trifunctional crosslinker, respectively. In the presence of acid, the amount of AAc grafted on the cellulose was decreased when reaction solution contains difunctional crosslinker, while that was increased when reaction solution contains trifunctional crosslinker. In the grafting reaction of cellulose with AAc and TMETA, mixture containing ferrous sulfate and acid enhanced further AAc grafting yield than mixture containing ferrous sulfate only.
