THE SURFACE DISTRIBUTION OF CARBON STARS IN THE GALAXY

  • The results on the deep low dispersion (1250 ${\AA}$/mm at $H_r, $30^{\circ}$ < I < $165^{\circ}$, $195^{\circ}$ < I < $210^{\circ}$, [b] < $5^{\circ}$; 7000${\AA}$/mm at A band, $50^{\circ}$ < I < $115^{\circ}$, b=$0^{\circ}$, b=${\pm}3.5^{\circ}$) spectral surveys of the MILKY WAY are presented. More than 2250 carbon stars were identified among them 1440 new ones. The C/M5+ ratio increases from 0.02 to 0.3 when longitude varies from $30^{\circ}$ to $210^{\circ}$. On the basis of A GENERAL CATALOG OF GALACTIC COOL CARBON STARS the surface distribution of carbon stars has been studied.

  • X-선 회절법을 이용하여 1-(3 Carbamoyl-3,3-diphenylpropyl)-1-methylhexahydro-1H-azepinium iodide[이하: DIP]의 분자 및 결정구조를 규명하였다. 이 결정의 분자식은 C23H31N2O·I, 결정계는 Monoclinic이며 공간군은 P21이다. 단위포 상수는 a =8.937(1) Å, b=19.522(2) Å, c=6.485(2) Å이며, β= 105.18(2)°, V=1091.9(6) Å3, T=293(2)K, Z=2, Dc=1.45 Mgm-3이다. 회절반점들의 세기는 Enarf-Nonius CAD-4 diffractometer로 얻었으며 Mo Katjs(λ=0.71073 Å)을 사용하였다. 분자구조는 직접법으로 개략적인 분자모델을 설정하고, Fo>4σ(Fo)인 4112개의 독립 회절 데이터에 대하여 최소자승법으로 정밀화하여 최종 신뢰도 값 R=5.23%인 최종적인 분자모형을 구하였다.

  • We developed a new measuring equipment which makes it possible to perform on-line measurements with the merits of its implicity and the time-saving characteristics. By using the newly developed measurement system, the amount of aeration is directly measured on several parameters, i.e, engine speed, oil quantity, oil deterioration, oil temperature and viscosity, etc. It showed that oil aeration is strongly related to be gas movements in crankcase and the residence time of circulating oil in oil pan. In addition, in order to clarify the mechanism of aeration and to quantify the degree of aeration, a modelling analysis to predict aeration was performed , and as a guiding parameter, Aeration Index was defined. Finally, the parameter was compared with the actual amount of aeration, and it was confirmed that they gave a good correlation with each other.

  • 현재 데이터의 양은 인터넷 관련 비즈니스/전자상거래 등 인터넷 프로토콜(IP) 네트워크를 이용한 저장 장치의 데이터 증가를 가져오게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 펜티엄 프로세서, 고속 이더넷 IDE RAID 시스템 (IDE RAID Controller와 IDE 디스크로 구성)과 iSCSI(Internet Small Computer System Interface) 프로토콜을 이용하여 저렴한 비용으로 비교적 우수한 성능의 리눅스 기반의 저장장치 시스템을 설계 구현하였다. 또한 저장장치 시스템의 벤치마크 프로그램인 ioZone을 사용하여 SCSI RAID 시스템으로 구성된 저장 장치 시스템과의 성능을 비교 분석하여 가격대비 성능이 비교적 우수함을 보여준다. 끝으로. 향후 SATA(Serial ATA)를 이용한 저장장치 시스템의 전망을 가늠해본다.

The Effects of Whole Body Vibration Exercise on Jump Performance and Quadriceps Muscle Activation in Soccer Player

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of WBV exercise on CMJ and quadriceps muscle activation according to different frequency of vibration in soccer player and also to find effective frequency for leading appropriate treatment reaction. Methods: Thirty three subjects were randomly divided into three groups: the three groups are WBV group using 20 Hz frequency, WBV group using 30 Hz frequency and squat exercise group according to training method. The exercise program was conducted for six weeks. Subjects were measured on CMJ and quadriceps muscle activation. Results: Significant difference in CMJ was observed in the group I, II compared with the group III (p<0.05). Results of post-hoc, showed a significant difference in CMJ in on group I, II compared with the group III, but no a statistically significant difference between group I and II. Significant difference in quadriceps muscle activation was observed in the group I, II compared with the group III (p<0.05, p<0.01). Results of post-hoc, significant difference in quadriceps muscle activation in on group I, II compared with the group III and significant difference between group I and group II. Conclusion: This research intervened WBV for soccer players and compared the differences of CMJ and quadriceps muscle activation; as a result of the effective frequency for improving performance, there is a significant difference in CMJ and quadriceps muscle activation of WBV group with comparison of control group; and it was proved that WBV is effective using 30 Hz frequency for improving quadriceps muscle activation.

Concrete Degradation Comparison of Computer Programs for Post-Closure Safety Assessment of Wolsong Low-and Intermediate-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Facility (월성원자력환경관리센터 폐쇄 후 안전평가 컴퓨터프로그램의 콘크리트 열화현상에 대한 상호비교)

  • To ensure the reliability of computer programs used for the post-closure safety assessment in the Wolsong LILW Center, the results from MASCOT, SAFE-ROCK and GOLDSIM programs are compared with a problem for degradation. Advantages and disadvantages of each computer programs are individually analyzed. Effects on the individual dose are assessed with each computer programs. MASCOT and SAFE-ROCK showed similar results for $^{129}I$ and $^3H$. However, GOLDSIM represented different results for $^{129}I$ and $^3H$. It is analyzed further and compared with the fluxes in each barrier of the disposal system. Througout the benchmarking testing of the computer program, the limitation of computer program can be continuously found out for the mature post-closure safety of Korean radwaste disposal system.

  • In this study, we are aimed to prevent grain growth of semi-solid AZ31 magnesium alloys during reheating process. The semi-solid AZ31+(Ca) billets were investigated by using metallographic analysis, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectroscopy in order to elucidate the effect of Ca addition during reheating process. The grain growth of semi-solid AZ31+(Ca) billet was reduced with increasing Ca content during reheating. The grain size of AZ31+(Ca) billet decreased with increasing volume fraction of Al2Ca particles. The grain growth rate constant K calculated by Oswald ripening LSW theory in AZ31+1.5wt.% Ca billet was the lowest 129.

Effectiveness and Preparation of Microsome containing Fermented Squalene (발효 스쿠알렌을 함유한 마이크로좀의 제조 및 효능효과)

  • In this study, to improve the stability of fermented squalene developed using microorganisms, Microsome-SQ20 was prepared, and its physical behavior, properties, and efficacy were studied. The appearance of Microsome-SQ20 was a transparent liquid, no smell, and had a specific smell. The color was a transparent liquid, and the specific gravity was 0.928 and the pH was 5.82 (20% solution), forming a nano-emulsion suitable for use in cosmetics. It was confirmed that the content of the main component of squalene was 20.05%, which was stably sealed. The particle size measured by 0.1% aqueous solution of Microsome-SQ20 was 134.8 nm to obtain a bluish emulsified phase. The antioxidant effects of F-SQ and MF-SQ by DPPH radicals were 80.72% and 81.5%, respectively, showing superior effects compared to L-ascorbic acid. The cell viability of squalene (SQ), fermented squalene (F-SQ) and microsome squalene (MF-SQ) was at 10 ppm, respectively, showing 121.2%, 150.3%, and 129.9% cell viability. It was found that SQ, F-SQ, and MF-SQ had an elastase inhibitory ability of 8.7%, 10.33% and 8.7% at 10 ppm, respectively. In addition, the inhibitory ability of MMP-1 was 1.55%, 41.44%, 31.79% at 10 ppm for SQ, F-SQ, and MF-SQ, respectively, indicating that F-SQ significantly reduced the MMP-1 expression.

  • 사용후핵연료를 이용한 건식 핵연료 원격 제조 공정중 OREOX공정으로부터 핵분열기체 방출특성 평가를 위한 실험을 수행하였다. 사용후핵연료 분말화 공정인 1차 산화 및 OREOX공정에서 방출되는 핵분열기체를 실시간으로 측정할 수 있는 장치를 제작$\cdot$설치하였으며, 측정 대상 핵분열기체는 Kr-85를 포함하여 C-14$^{14}CO_2$ 형태), I-129, 기체상 트리튬 등이다. 그림 1은 방출되는 핵분열기체를 포집 또는 연속측정하기 위한 개념도이며, 그림 2는 핫셀구역에 설치된 장치 사진이다.(중략)

  • This paper presents the way to analyze the static and dynamic characteristics of the Compound motor and 3 phase slip ring motor using VIS (Virtual Instrument System) and Agilent VEE, GUI(Graphics User Interface) tool. This method is composed of real time measuring of various characteristics, which can't measure using analog meter and analyzer, and presenting and analyzing the static and dynamic characteristics by table, which calculates the measured parameter. Also, this can apply to the various parts.
