HVOF 용사된 NiCoCrAlY 코팅의 산호막 관찰 (Microstructural Observation of Scales formed on HVOF-sprayed NiCoCrAlY Coatings)

  • High velocity oxy-fuel sprayed NiCoCrAlY coatings were oxidized between 1000 and $1200^{\circ}C$ in air, and the oxide scales were examined by XRD, SEM/EDS, and EPMA. The unoxidized coatings consisted mainly of ${\gamma}$'$-Ni_3$Al, with some ${\gamma}$-Ni. The major oxide formed on the coatings was $\alpha$ $-Al_2$$O_3$. Additionally, (CoCr$_2$$O_4$, $CoAl_2$$O_4$) spinels and $Al_{5}$ $Y_3$$O_{12}$ coexisted. NiO was not found, despite of high amount of Ni in the coating. Below the oxide layer, internally formed $Al_2$$O_3$ existed.

γ-Al2O3 촉매상에서 열분해와 가수분해에 의한 NF3 촉매분해 특성 (Catalytic Decomposition of NF3 by Thermal Decomposition and Hydrolysis of γ-Al2O3)

  • 본 연구에서는 $NF_3$의 분해를 위한 ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$의 촉매활성을 조사하였다. $NF_3$ 분해반응은 고정층 촉매반응기에서 $330{\sim}730^{\circ}C$ 범위의 반응온도와 $3,000{\sim}15,000mL/g-cat{\cdot}h$의 공간속도 조건에서 수행되었고, $NF_3$의 열분해 반응이 촉매분해반응와 비교를 위하여 함께 수행되었다. $400^{\circ}C$의 촉매분해 반응에서 $NF_3$의 전화율은 열분해 반응보다 4배 정도 높았으며, ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$상에서 $NF_3$의 반응거동은 스팀의 존재에 따라 두 가지 반응경로를 나타내는 것으로 확인되었다. 스팀이 존재하지 않은 조건에서는 기체-고체 반응에 의해서 $NF_3$에 함유된 불소성분은 $AlF_3$로 전이되고, 스팀이 존재하는 조건에서는 가수분해에 의한 촉매적 분해반응이 일어난다. 또한 $NF_3$$500^{\circ}C$ 이상에서 NOx와 HF로 완전히 분해되는 것으로 FT-IR분석에서 확인되었다.

Influence of various metal oxides (PbO, Fe2O3, MgO, and Al2O3) on the mechanical properties and γ-ray attenuation performance of zinc barium borate glasses

  • The current work aims to fabricate metal oxide-doped (PbO, Fe2O3, MgO, and Al2O3, each of which boasts a purity of 99%) zinc barium borate glasses through the melt quenching technique at the 1000 ℃ melting temperature. The results showed that adding 5 mol.% of metal oxides PbO, Fe2O3, Al2O3, and MgO increases the density of the zinc barium borate glasses. Additionally, the fabricated glasses' mechanical properties were determined based on the Makishima-Mackenzie model, which proved that the highest mechanical properties were achieved for glasses doped with Al2O3 compounds. The mechanical moduli for the glasses doped with Al2O3 reach 80.95 GPa (Young), 59.90 GPa (bulk), 31.75 GPa (shear), and 102.23 GPa (longitudinal). Additionally, the Al2O3-doped glasses' microhardness reaches 4.77 GPa. Moreover, estimation of the fabricated glasses' gamma-ray shielding capacity utilized Monte Carlo simulation. The highest linear attenuation coefficients are 29.132, 19.906, 19.243, and 18.923 cm-1 obtained at 0.033 MeV for glasses dopped by PbO, Fe2O3, MgO, and Al2O3, respectively. Therefore, glasses doped with 5 mol.% of PbO have high gamma-ray shielding capacities followed by glasses doped by Fe2O3.

$Ce-TZP/Al_2O_3$ 세라믹 복합재료의 소결과 미세구조 (Sintering and Microstructure of $Ce-TZP/Al_2O_3$ Ceramic Composite)

  • Sintering and microstructure of Ce-TZP/Al2O3 composite with $\alpha$-Al2O3 matrix containing dispersed 5~50 vol% ZrO2 were discussed. Sintered density was increased with elevating forming pressure in range of 6~300 MPa and about >99.2% of theoretical density was obtained at 1$600^{\circ}C$ for 2h in case of 300 MPa of 6~300 MPa uniaxially cold-pressed compacts containing 20 vol% ZrO2. All kinds of different batch composition exhibited nearly the same shrinkage behaviour with end-point shrinkage between 20 and 24%, and had the maximum shrinkage rate (0.41~0.54%/min) around 140$0^{\circ}C$. Grain growth was occurred faster in $\alpha$-Al2O3 than in {{{{ gamma }}-Al2O3 starting matrix during sintering at 1$600^{\circ}C$. Bimodal pore size distribution of interaglomerate pores with size of 0.03~0.2 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and of interaglomerate pores with size of around 60 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ was obtained in Ce-TZP/$\alpha$-Al2O3 composite sintered at 130$0^{\circ}C$. But unimodal pore size distribution with around 0.1 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ was observed in Ce-TZP/{{{{ gamma }}-Al2O3 composite sintered at the same temperature. Microcracks were occurred due to the tlongrightarrowm transformation of ZrO2 on cooling process.

불화된 γ-Al2O3상에서 아세틸렌으로부터 1,1-difluoroethane의 합성 (1,1-Difluoroethane Synthesis from Acetylene over Fluorinated γ-Al2O3)

  • ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$을 불화한 촉매상에서 아세틸렌으로부터 1,1-difluoroethane을 합성하는 실험을 반응물질의 몰비와 접촉시간, 그리고 반응온도를 변화하여 실시하였다. 촉매의 불화는 무수 불화수소로 고온에서 행하였다. 제조된 시료는 XRD에 의한 결정성, 질소 흡착에 의한 세공성, 그리고 피리딘-IR과 암모니아-TPD에 의한 산 특성을 측정하였다. 촉매의 활성은 ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$가 불화됨에 따라 향상되었고 반응온도 $200^{\circ}C$ 정도에서 원하는 생성물인 1,1-difluoroethane의 분율이 90% 이상이었다. 불화된 ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$촉매상에서 얻은 중간생성물인 vinylfluoride에 비해 원하는 물질인 1,1-difluoroethane의 비는 불화수소/아세틸렌 몰비가 높고 접촉시간이 큰 경우에서 높았고 반응온도 $210^{\circ}C$에서 최대의 값을 얻었다.

Ce가 첨가된 Pt/γ-Al2O3 촉매의 선택적 CO 산화반응 특성 (Preferential CO Oxidation over Ce-Promoted Pt/γ-Al2O3 Catalyst)

  • The effect of Ce promotion over 1wt% $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalysts on the CO conversion and $CO_2$ selectivity was investigated in preferential CO oxidation (PrOx) to reduce the CO concentration less than 10 ppm in excess $H_2$ stream for polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell (PEMFC). Ce-promoted 1wt% $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalysts were prepared by incipient wetness impregnation method and the loading amount of Pt was fixed at 1wt%. The content of Ce promoter which has excellent oxygen storage and transfer capability due to the redox property was adjusted from 0 to 1.5wt%. Ce-promoted 1wt% $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalysts exhibit high CO conversion and $CO_2$ selectivity at low temperatures below $150^{\circ}C$ due to the improvement of reducibility of surface PtOx species compared with the 1wt% $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalyst without Ce addition. When Ce content was more than 1wt%, the catalytic activity was decreased at over $160^{\circ}C$ in PrOx because of competitive $H_2$ oxidation. As a result, 0.5wt% Ce is optimal content not only to achieve high catalytic activity and good stability at low temperatures below $150^{\circ}C$ in the presence of $CO_2$ and $H_2O$ but also to minimize the $H_2$ oxidation at high temperatures.

온실가스 저감을 위한 Pt계 촉매상 $CO_2$ Methanation 전환반응 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Reaction Characteristics of $CO_2$ Conversion Methanation over Pt Catalysts for Reduction of GHG)

  • 온실가스인 $CO_2$를 저감하기 위해 Pt계 촉매상 $CO_2$ methanation 반응에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. $Al_2O_3$의 전구체인 AlO(OH)를 열처리하여 지지체로 사용하였으며, 활성금속으로서 Pt를 사용하였다. XRD 분석결과, 활성금속인 Pt가 고르게 잘 분산되었음이 관찰되었으며, 지지체는 gamma phase의 $Al_2O_3$로 존재함을 확인할 수 있었다. 활성실험을 통해 $600^{\circ}C$로 열처리된 $Pt/Al_2O_3$ 촉매가 가장 우수한 전환율 및 선택도를 나타냄을 확인하였다.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 다이옥신 분해 촉매 반응에 Pt/Al-MCM-41 메조포러스 촉매를 이용할 수 있는 가능성을 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 다이옥신 분해 반응에 대한 모델 반응으로 1,2-dichlorobenzene 분해 반응을 실시하였다. 비교 촉매로는 $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ 촉매를 사용하였다. Post grafting 방법으로 Al-MCM-41 촉매를 제조하여 실험한 결과, Si/Al = 15, 30인 Pt/Al-MCM-41 촉매가 $Pt/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ 촉매 보다 우수한 활성을 나타내었다. 이러한 반응 활성은 산점의 양과 밀접한 관계를 나타내었다. 특히 Al-MCM-41을 H-form으로 이온교환하여 반응 실험에 적용한 결과, 활성이 더욱 더 증대되었다.

와트 Ni 도금욕에서 도금 피막에 미치는 Al, Al2O3 분산제 및 열처리의 영향 (Effect of Al, Al2O3 Dispersants and Heat Treatment on Deposits from Watt′s Ni Plating Bamth)

  • The co-deposited behavior was investigated under varied bath compositions and current densities from Watt Ni plating bath containing Al and A1$_2$O$_3$powders. For single-particle bath, Al and A1$_2$O$_3$particles were agglomerated. The area percentage of A1$_2$O$_3$on plating surface decreased with increasing the current density, while that of Al on plating surface increased. On the other hand, in case of double-particle bath with 1.25g/$\ell$ of Al and 5.0g/$\ell$ of A1$_2$O$_3$5g, the area percentage of Ni-Al-A1$_2$O$_3$increased with increasing current density and the surface morphology was fine without agglomeration. Intermetallic compounds such as $\gamma$'and $\gamma$+$\gamma$' phases appeared when the co-deposited film was annealed.
