This study aims to analyze the International trade network of Water transport service using Social Network Analysis for defining the status of Korean Water transport industry. This study use World Input-Output Table of Asian Development Bank from 2000 to 2020 and build the International trade matrix of Water transport service from that. Therefore, this study analyze Out-degree centrality, In-degree centrality and betweenness centrality of Korea and other main countries in the matrix of World Water transport industry. As a result, Korea rank above 10th in the all centralities and the total output also rank 8th in the world, therefore, this study show the importance of Korean Water transport industry in the world. However, Singapore has the highest centrality in the world, even though China has the largest Total output among 63 countries.

In this article, the challenges of Iran and the world are compared to the management of available water resources. Especially in recent years, according to the climatic changes that have occurred all over the world and the changes in the rainfall patterns, and the corresponding changes in the management of water resources, the situation in Iran is being investigated. According to the available information, the amount of water on the planet is estimated to be about 1.36 billion cubic kilometers, which covers about 71% of the earth's surface. However, about 97.5% of the water in the world is salty ocean water and only 2.5% is fresh. Therefore, only 0.025% of the total water on the planet will be usable. According to United Nations statistics, 61% of the world's water consumption is in agriculture, 23% in industry, and 8% for drinking, household, and health purposes. Considering the large number of dams in Iran, only 6% of all dams are used to produce electric energy, which is a significant difference compared to the world (approximately 19%).

Recently human beings face serious water crisis, namely water management at the critical moment because of rapid increasing in population, subordinate part of a national budget, water pollution by domestic use and industrial use or waste, agricultural water use by intensive market farming, excessive development and extraction of water sources, and etc. We become to recognize that water and sanitation is the one of most important part which is threatening us with a drain on the water resources and death around the world and then are making opportunities of discussion for water policies and solutions of water problems through international network such as Global Water Partnership(GWP), World Water council(WWC). World Water Forum(WWF), as one of main water-related activities, aims at sharing knowledge and experience among various stakeholders for accomplishing a holistic water resources management by making common thoughts regarding the necessity of integration among different organizations related with water management, problems and issues. Also the unity of each local area for the holistic approach focuses on showing present local actions and actively supporting them, and suggesting new ideas. With Korea's participation in the 4th WWF this year, Korean government should have consistency in its establishment and implementation of sustainable water resources policies as a more active and future-oriented member of international water network. Finally it will be necessary that we will set up an organization and system which does publicity activities about results of various local actions of Korea around the world through next WWF in the future and contribute to solving global water problems.

Deserts around the world mostly do not have plants and are ever- expanding their area each year. There is shortage of food and prevalent hunger around the world mostly in the African countries that have desert. The waste water is not properly managed in those places and it causes disease outbreaks. So, the problems of desertification, waste water management and hunger have to be addressed by the world community. This thesis work tries to explore a possibility of reclamation of deserts with regular application of waste water. The results obtained from a four months long test are very encouraging and it can be easily concluded that the deserts can be reclaimed by application of waste water and it will relieve the desert community from the burden of costly treatment of waste water as well. In turn, they will, to some extent, get rid of water borne diseases and the reclaimed land could be used in future to produce more food to feed the hungry community- positively impacting directly to food security of the focused community.
The steady growth in population has led to an enhanced water demand and immense pressure on water resources. Pharmaceutical residues (PRs) are unused or non-assimilated medicines found in water supplies that originate from the human and animal consumption of antibiotics, antipyretics, analgesics etc. These have been detected recently in sewage effluents, surface water, ground water and even in drinking water. Due to their toxicity and potential hazard to the environment, humans and aquatic life, PRs are now categorized as the emerging contaminants (ECs). India figures in the top five manufacturers of medicines in the world and every third pill consumed in the world is produced in India. Present day conventional wastewater treatment methods are ineffective and don't eliminate them completely. The use of nanotechnology via advanced oxidation processes (AOP) is one of the most effective methods for the removal of these PRs. Present study is aimed at reviewing the presence of various PRs in water supplies and also to describe the process of AOP to overcome their threat. This study is also very important in view of World Health Organization report confirming more than 30 million cases of COVID-19 worldwide. This will lead to an alleviated use of antibiotics, antipyretics etc. and their subsequent occurrence in water bodies. Need of the hour is to devise a proper treatment strategy and a decision thereof by the policymakers to overcome the possible threat to the environment and health of humans and aquatic life.

Water is a limited source that needs to be properly managed and distributed to the ever-growing population of the world. Rapid urbanization and development have increased the overall water demand of the world drastically. However, there is loss of billions of liters of water every year due to leakages in water distribution systems. Such water loss means significant financial loss for the utilities as well. World bank estimates a loss of $14 billion annually from wasted water. To address these issues and for the development of efficient and reliable leakage management techniques, high efforts have been made by the researchers and engineers. Over the past decade, various techniques and technologies have been developed for leakage management and leak detection. These include ideas such as pressure management in water distribution networks, use of Advanced Metering Infrastructure, use of machine learning algorithms, etc. For leakage detection, techniques such as acoustic technique, and in recent yeats transient test-based techniques have become popular. Smart Water Grid uses two-way real time network monitoring by utilizing sensors and devices in the water distribution system. Hence, valuable real time data of the water distribution network can be collected. Best results and outcomes may be produced by proper utilization of the collected data in unison with advanced detection and management techniques. Long term reduction in Non Revenue Water can be achieved by detecting, localizing and repairing leakages as quickly and as efficiently as possible. However, there are still numerous challenges to be met and future research works to be conducted in this field.
