Aim & Scope
Tribology and Lubricants (Tribol. Lubr.) is a peer-reviewed open access journal published by the Korean Tribology Society (KTS). The aim of the journal is to advance the science and technology of tribology by disseminating high-quality and novel research works on tribology and related fields. The scope of the journal encompasses all aspects of tribology and its applications including the following topics: friction, wear, fluid film lubrication, elastohydrodynamic lubrication, liquid and solid lubricants, lubricant additives, nano/micro-tribology, tribo-chemistry, surface properties and characterization, coatings, surface engineering, contact mechanics, tribo-systems, seals, bearings, gears, metalworking, biotribology, friction noise, friction-induced vibration and other related topics. The papers related to these topics will aid in advancement of core mechanical technologies for various industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, Marine, Transportation, Data Storage, MEMS/NEMS, Biomedical, Home Appliance, Mining, Machine Tool, Manufacturing, Construction Machinery, Heavy Equipment, Power Generation, Energy Systems, Condition Monitoring, etc. Tribology and Lubricants publishes papers of theoretical and/or experimental contents that are based on original research, invited special topic, industrial research, case study and reviews of state-of-the-art topics.
