Abstract

Objectives : This report is intended to suggest that wart can be removed by LP-Nd:YAG laser treatment. Methods : At the first treatment, the following parameters were used: spot size, 3mm; pulse duration, 30ms; fluence, 198J/2; number of pulses, 1. However, at the second treatment, the parameters were increased as follows: spot size, 3mm; pulse duration, 30ms; fluence, 226J/cm2; number of pulses, 5. The progress was documented through photographs and observed via visual inspection. Results : There was no significant change in the wart after the first treatment; however, following the second treatment, the wart turned black and detached. As new tissue began to form, the wart naturally fell off. The condition remained stable without any recurrence, and there were no side effects observed throughout the treatment process. Conclusions : This study suggests that LP-Nd:YAG laser treatment can be effective for treating warts, highlighting the need to employ optimal parameters. We hope that various laser treatments will be considered at Korean Medicine clinics.
