A Delphi Study for the Direction to Design the Curriculum of Computer Education in Elementary School

초등학교 정보교과 편성의 방향 설계를 위한 델파이 연구

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to present the necessity and direction for organizing information curriculum in elementary schools. The group of experts was organized and two Delphi studies were conducted. The questions for Delphi research were composed of group organization, subject organization, subject area, content system, programming language, grades, and number of hours. The first response results were analyzed through content validity, and the second questionnaire was conducted by intensifying or supplementing the questions according to the agreement of expert opinions on the results of the first questionnaire. The second responses of a Delphi study were collected to examine the number of hours, organization, and domains for information curriculum organization in elementary schools. As the consensus directions for computer education curriculum in elementary school, it was necessary to organize the areas of algorithm, programming, physical computing, artificial intelligence, and ICT literacy. Meanwhile, a hierarchical curriculum should be designed through a separate subject from the first grade of elementary school.

본 연구의 목적은 초등학교에서 정보교과를 편성하기 위한 필요성과 방향을 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위해 전문가집단을 구성하여 델파이 연구를 2차에 걸쳐 진행하였다. 델파이 연구를 위한 문항을 구성하였으며, 교과군 편성, 교과 편제, 교과 영역, 내용 체계, 프로그래밍 언어, 도입학년, 시수에 대한 설문을 구성하였다. 응답결과는 내용타당도를 통해 분석하였으며 1차 설문의 결과에 대하여 전문가의견의 일치도에 따라 문항을 심화하거나 보완하여 2차 설문을 진행하였다. 델파이연구를 수행하여 초등학교 정보교과 편성에 대한 교과시수와 편제 및 영역에 대하여 일치된 결과를 살펴보고 방향을 정리하였다. 초등학교 정보교과에서는 알고리즘, 프로그래밍, 피지컬컴퓨팅, 인공지능, ICT소양에 대한 영역의 편성이 필요하며, 초등학교 1학년부터 별도의 교과를 통해 체계적인 교육이 필요하다는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.
