  • This research aims to enrich the field of decorative designs for the T-shirts of youth clothes. Youth T-shirts have been chosen because they are essential apparel and one of the most important casualwear. T-shirts are probably the number one item sold across the world. Every tourist shop has many of them, worldwide. The decorative ideas have been inspired from some symbols of Coptic arts. This incorporates the cultural power of Coptic art as a vital starting point for new design ideas and development of products. However, the purpose of this research is to make our youth know something about the Coptic arts of Egypt, as a part of their history, and on the other hand for tourists as well. Youth are very suitable tools for spreading our new ideas where they are energetic and full of life. In this work, twenty-one designs are presented inspired from ten Coptic symbols. Five designs have been implemented in three different ways of printing and embroidery, i.e. there are fifteen models have been formed. An opinion poll has been occurred for two groups of youth, one is younger and the other is older, hence T-test has been applied. It is clarified that our designs are approved by the younger group than the older one. The results of this work can offer some good reasons for further investigations on the fashionable decorated designs for youth and tourists as well; in addition to the decoration education development.

  • Korea has entered a multicultural society. As the number of multicultural family grows, identifying factors that facilitate family adjustment seems important. The relationship between parent and children can be a crucial predictor in family adjustment. Thus this study examined how the concordance/discordance in language fluency affects youth's satisfaction towards their parents. This research employed the 2012 National Survey of Multicultural Families (NSMF) using 9 to 24 year-old multicultural youth'(N=4314) data and that of their parents. Since some youth were from the same family, we used Multilevel Models to take into account youth-level data (level-1) and family-level data (level-2). The major findings are as follows: First, concordance/discordance in both national and ethnic language fluency is associated with the quality of relationship between parents and youth. Second, youth's satisfaction toward parents is highest when foreign parent and youth are fluent in Korean, as well as, when Korean parent and youth are fluent in ethnic languages. These findings can suggest directions for Korean multicultural policy to encourage fluency in both Korean and ethnic languages in multicultural families.

For that, various human resources and physical resources of communities need to be utilized efficiently. Thus, this study explored the measures to achieve the original objectives of creativity activity by analyzing the programs - offered by the youth centers in Gyeongsangnam-do Province - based on the scope of creativity activity. The followings are the results of the analysis of 177 programs offered in 12 organizations that came under the three categories (training facilities operated directly by the Education Office, public training centers, culture center) of the youth centers located in Gyeongsangnam-do Province. Autonomous activity' comprised the highest proportion in the youth center programs of the three categories, followed by club activity. The programs associated with the 'career activity' - which most students have the highest expectations in relation to the creativity activity - comprised relatively low proportion. In conclusion, the programs offered by the youth centers in communities need to become more diversified in order to achieve the intended results of creative activity. In addition, the programs associated with the 'career activity', which student prefer the most, need to be operated in a more diversified manner with greater emphasis. Furthermore, the measures should be explored which may increase the involvement of youth education experts of community in the operations of creativity activity.
