Methods such table flow, slump and outflow time have used to be as a main evaluation criteria regards to fluidity of concrete. Since those methods mentioned above have some inaccuracies which are up to its condition of test. Studies that evaluate fluidity applying the rheology has increased its portion in this field. Meanwhile, demands for AAS binder have been increased in accordance with its demand for this market, studies for rheology of AAS binder are little though. Therefore, this paper mainly deals a rheological peculiarity of AAS binder according to its condition of W/B ratio and alkali activators. The fluidity of AAS paste was evaluated with the index of table flow and outflow time. And shear stress following its shear rate was analyzed through rheological test. Rheological parameters were deduced through this rheological test of Bingham model and analyzed its interrelation with fluidity test. As the final outcome, it proposed the interrelation among table flow, yield stress, viscosity and outflow time. In basis of this study, we would like to suggest a reference for mixing AAS mortars and concretes.
This study was carried out to identify the effects of seaweed extracts(GA14) on growth of two rice cultivars, Junambyo and Donganbyo. Seedling qualities of two cultivars were better in all items including heading dates at early stage treated at seedling plus 2-3 leaf stages than at single treatment of seedling. Ripening ratio of Junambyo in paddy field was increased 0.3% by seaweed extracts(GA14) treatment, but that of Donganbyo decreased 0.5%. 1,000 grain weight of Junambyo and Donanbyo by seaweed extracts(GA14) treatment was two to four grams higher and the yield of two cultivars was also higher by three to four percent. Appearance characters of two rice cultivars was high in head, while damaged, chalky and crack rate were low at seaweed extracts(GA14) treatment. Protein, moisture and amylose characteristics related to table quality of Junambyo were not different by seaweed extracts treatment, but table values was high in only treatment. Donganbyo was also similar to Junambyo, but table quality was slightly high at non-treatment.
In recent years, not only the occurrences but the magnitude of earthquakes in Korea are on an increasing trend and other sources of dynamic events including large-scale construction, operation of hi띤-speed railway and explosives blasting have been increasing. Besides, the probability of exposure fir rock joints to free faces gets higher as the scale of rock mass structures becomes larger. For that reason, the frictional behavior of rock joints under dynamic conditions needs to be investigated. In this study, a shaking table test system was set up and a series of dynamic test was carried out to examine the dynamic frictional behavior of rock joints. In addition, a computer program was developed, which calculated the acceleration and deformation of the sliding block theoretically based on Newmark sliding block procedure. The static friction angle was back-calculated by measuring yield acceleration at the onset of slide. The dynamic friction angle was estimated by closely approximating the experimental results to the program-simulated responses. As a result of dynamic testing, the static friction angle at the onset of slide as well as the dynamic friction angle during sliding were estimated to be significantly lower than tilt angle. The difference between the tilt angle and the static friction angle was $4.5\~8.2^{\circ}$ and the difference between the tilt angle and the dynamic friction angle was $2.0\~7.5^{\circ}$. The decreasing trend was influenced by the magnitude of the base acceleration and inclination angle. A DEM program was used to simulate the shaking table test and the result well simulated the experimental behavior. Friction angles obtained by shaking table test were significantly lower than basic friction angle by direct shear test.
This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between lactational capacity and intakes of energy and energy-yielding nutrients. Food consumption, intakes of carbohydrate, protein, fat and energy and quantity and proximate composition of milk of 11 lactating Korean mothers were determined at 1, 2 and 3 months postpartum longitudinally. Food consumption was estimated using a 24-hour recall method ; intakes of energy and energy-yielding nutrients were calculated according to the Food Composition Table. Daily milk production was estimated using a 72-hour test-weighing method ; protein, fat, lactose and energy concentrations were analyzed. Average intakes of energy and protein were 1974$\pm$386㎉/day and 67.0$\pm$12.3㎉/day, these were 73% and 74% of the Korean Recommended Allowances, respectively. Average milk yield was 720.1$\pm$123.3ml/day containing energy 59.6$\pm$9.5㎉/dl, protein 1.1$\pm$0.1g/dl, fat 2.7$\pm$0.8g/dl, and lactose 6.3$\pm$0.3g/dl. No relationship existed between the intakes of carbohydrate, protein, fat and energy and the quantity and proximate composition of the milk. However, the intakes of energy, carbohydrate and vegetable protein were inversely related to the concentrations of energy and lactose in the milk. This result indicates that lactational capacity may be affected by the other factors excluding intakes of energy and energy-yielding nutrients and a high intake of energy may not guarantee optimal lactational capacity.
1. The purpose of this study is to provide a series of statistical "bench marks" from which one can begin to think systematically about the required development of the Korean food and fertilizer needs over the next quarter-century. 2. The Korean population has been estimated by the characteristics of the population and its social and political situations today. Because fertility and mortality rates are relatively stable and are under control of politics concerned, the estimation rates were established with 1.6% over 1975-1980, 1.3% over 1981-1990, and 1.0% over 1991-2000. 3. Annual per capita absorption of milled rice has fluctuated rather closely around 140kg, since 1968, with no evidence of declining trend. Per capita absorption of barley and wheat around 120 kg, and legumes around 10.6kg, However because the case of wheat and corn productions are rather difficult the self-sufficiency in the future, the rice is considered to be accelerate its yield growth surplus the level of self-sufficiency to export. 4. The fertilizer demand in each element has been calculated by mechanical multiplication of "the recommend index of fetilizer application" to yield a unit production over the need of national food supply by crop year. 5. As a results refer to Table (8), the estimated quantities of total fertilizer demand to meet the national food supply of the years of 1974, 1980, 1985, 1.990, 1995, and 2000 are reached around 871500, 1138150, 1375480, 1515030, 1652090 and 1799850 metric tons in each year.

This study was established to investigate the site environment of mixed forests in Korea and to estimate the growth and yield of stands using national forest resources inventory data. The growth of mixed forests was derived by applying the Chapman-Richards model with diameter at breast height (DBH), height, and cross-sectional area at breast height (BA), and the yield of mixed forests was derived by applying stepwise regression analysis with factors such as cross-sectional area at breast height, site index (SI), age, and standing tree density per ha. Mixed forests were found to be growing in various locations. By climate zone, more than half of them were distributed in the temperate central region. By altitude, about 62% were distributed at 101-400 m. The fitness indexes (FI) for the growth model of mixed forests, which is the independent variable of stand age, were 0.32 for the DBH estimation, 0.22 for the height estimation, and 0.18 for the basal area at breast height estimation, which were somewhat low. However, considering the graph and residual between the estimated and measured values of the estimation equation, the use of this estimation model is not expected to cause any particular problems. The yield prediction model of mixed forests was derived as follows: Stand volume =-162.6859+6.3434 ∙ BA+9.9214 ∙ SI+0.7271 ∙ Age, which is a step- by-step input of basal area at breast height (BA), site index (SI), and age among several growth factors, and the determination coefficient (R2) of the equation was about 96%. Using our optimal growth and yield prediction model, a makeshift stand yield table was created. This table of mixed forests was also used to derive the rotation of the highest production in volume.

The objective of this paper is to look into the growth of Cryptomeria japonica stand in South Korea along with the evaluation on their yields, followed by their carbon stocks and removals. A total of 106 sample plots were selected from Jeonnam, Gyeongnam, and Jeju, where the groups of standard are grown. We only used 92 plots data except outlier. As part of the analysis, the Weibull diameter distribution was applied. In order to estimate the diameter distribution, the growth estimation equation for each of the growth factors including the height, the diameter at breast height, and the basal area was drafted out and the verification for each equation was examined. The site index for figuring out the forest productivity of Cryptomeria japonica stand for each district was also developed as a Schumacher model and 30yr was used as a reference age for the estimation of the site index. It was found that the site index for Cryptomeria japonica stand in South Korea ranges from 10 to 16 and this result was used as a standard for developing the stand yield table. According to the site 14 in the stand yield table, the mean annual increment (MAI) of the Cryptomeria japonica reaches $7.6m^3/ha$ on its 25yr and its growing stock is estimated to be at $190.1m^3/ha$. This volume is about $20m^3$ as high as that of the Chamaesyparis obtusa. Furthermore, the annual carbon absorptions for a Cryptomeria japonica stand reached the peak at 25yr, which is 2.14 tC/ha/yr, $7.83tCO_2/ha/yr$. When compared to the other conifers, this rate is slightly higher than that of a Chamaecyparis obtusa ($7.5tCO_2/ha/yr$) but lower than that of the Pinus koraiensis ($10.4tCO_2/ha/yr$) and Larix kaempferi ($11.2tCO_2/ha/yr$). With such research result as a base, it is necessary to come up with the ways to enhance the utilization of Cryptomeria japonica as timbers, besides making use of their growth data.
'Pungwonmi', a new sweetpotato variety, was developed for table use by Bioenergy Crop Research Institute, National Institute of Crop Science (NICS), RDA in 2014. This variety was derived from the cross between 'Benisatsuma' and 'Luby3074' in 2006. The seedling and line selections were performed from 2007 to 2009, and preliminary and advanced yield trials were carried out from 2010 to 2011. The regional yield trials were conducted at five locations from 2012 to 2014, and it was named as 'Pungwonmi'. This variety has cordate leaf shape, and its leaves, stems, nodes, and petioles are green. Storage root of 'Pungwonmi' has an elliptical shape, red skin, and light orange flesh. 'Pungwonmi' was moderately resistant to fusarium wilt, and resistant to root-knot nematode. Dry matter content was 31.2%, and texture of steamed storage root was intermediate. Total sugar content of raw and steamed storage roots of 'Pungwonmi' was higher than that of 'Yulmi'. ${\beta}$-carotene content of 'Pungwonmi' was 9.1 mg/100g DW. Yield of marketable storage root over 50 g of 'Pungwonmi' was 24.3 MT/ha under the early season culture, which was 46% higher than that of 'Yulmi'. The number of marketable storage roots per plant was 2.8 and the average weight of marketable storage root was 156 g under the optimal and late season culture. Marketable storage root yield of 'Pungwonmi' was 24.1 MT/ha under the optimum and late season culture, which was 26% higher than that of 'Yulmi'. (Registration No. 6428).

The objectives of this study were to investigate the effects of excessive soil-water on crop growth and to predict decrease of yields caused by excessive soil-water. The following five crops were selected for investigation: foxtail millet, proso millet, sorghum, adzuki bean, and sesame. These were planted in pots and a soil-water table was set to 10cm for 10 days. Crop susceptibility (CS) factors and stress-day indexes (SDI) were calculated for each crop to estimate effects of excessive soil-water. SDI models were calculated using CS and SDI data for each crop and predicted the yields of crops cultivated in paddy fields. All crops were cultivated in paddy fields with different soil water contents to evaluate the yield-SDI models. Results showed that yields decreased most when crops were affected by excessive soil-water at the early development stage. Decrease of yields was the greatest when the excessive soil-water treatment was applied at early growth stage. In the field experiment, crops from soils with the greatest soil-water content had the smallest yield, while ones from soils with the smallest soil water contents showed the greatest yields. Observed yields from the field and predicted yields from SDI models showed the least correlation for proso millet, foxtail millet, and adzuki bean and the greatest correlation for sesame. In conclusion, proso millet, foxtail millet, and adzuki bean were more susceptible to soil water than other crops, while sorghum and sesame were more suitable to cultivation in paddy fields.
Linear programming(LP) is a well-known method in optimizing timber harvest schedules. This paper describes a linear programming formulation of korean pine stands for timber harvest scheduling problems. Simulation technique and LP were applied to optimize the time and space distribution of the sustained yield for the 10-year forest management planning horizon. Growthfunction of korean pine stands in study area was derived with the yield table. This growthfunction was contained to the simulation model in estimating of changing stand volume conditions for the planning horizon. These estimated values were served as the basic data of LP model, and LP model was formulated with the maximum of periodical harvest volume calculated by the classical yield regulation method (Paulsen-Hundeshagen formula) and the maximum of periodical harvest area calculated for the normal age distribution. The timber harvest schedule was established periodically for each subcompartment of korean pine stands in experiment forest of College of Forestry in Kangweon National University with the here developed LP model.
