A new spray chrysanthemum cultivar, 'Moon Festival' was released by National Horticultural Research Institute (NHRI), Rural Development Administration (RDA), Korea in 2007. A cross was made in 2002 between '01B1-559', a breeding line of NHRI and 'Baeksokuk', a spray cultivar with white petals. Trials were conducted from 2005 to 2007 for evaluation and selection of this cultivar, including shading culture in summer and retarding culture in autumn. The natural flowering time of "Moon Festival" is late October, but year-round flowering is possible by shading and lighting treatment. The cultivar is semi- double type flowers with light-ivory white petals and green flower center. Flower neck and stem are very hardy. The diameter of flower is 67.5 mm. The number of flowers per stem and petals per flower is 11.5 and 100.5, respectively. The days to flowering under the short day is about 54 in autumn season.

A new spray chrysanthemum cultivar, 'Golden Festival' was released by National Horticultural Research Institute (NHRI), Rural Development Administration (RDA), Korea in 2007. It was selected from the progenies of open-pollination of 'Torbay' in 2002. Trials were conducted from 2005 to 2007 for evaluation and selection of this cultivar, including shading culture in summer and retarding culture in autumn. The natural flowering time of 'Golden Festival' is late October, but year-round flowering is possible by shading and lighting treatment. The cultivar is semi-double type flowers with bright yellow petals and green flower center. Flower neck and stem are very hardy. The diameter of flower is 56.5 mm. The number of flowers per stem and petals per flower are 12.0 and 93.5, respectively. The days to flowering under the short day treatment is about 50 in spring season.

A new spray chrysanthemum cultivar, 'Cherry Blossom' was released by National Horticultural Research Institute (NHRI), Rural Development Administration (RDA), Korea in 2007. A cross was made in 2002 between 'Relance', a spray cultivar with red petals and resistant to white rust and 'Yeonja', a spray cultivar with pink petals. Trials were conducted from 2005 to 2007 for the evaluation and selection of this cultivar, including shading culture in summer and retarding culture in autumn. The natural flowering time of "Cherry Blossom" is late October, but year-round flowering is possible by shading and lighting treatment. This cultivar is single type flowers with dark pink petals and green flower center and resistant to white rust. It is very stable color of petals when the variety is cultivated under high temperature conditions in summer season. The diameter of flower is 55.0 mm. The number of flowers per stem is 10.5 and the number of petals per flower is 24.0. The days to flowering under the short day treatment is about 45 in spring season.

'Dream Round'는 경기도농업기술원에서 2010년도에 육성한 절화용 스프레이 국화 신품종이다. 2006년도에 화색이 흰색이면서 갈색심을 가지는 아네모네형 스프레이용 국화 'Hebo' 품종을 모본으로 하고 분홍색의 아네모네형 스프레이용 국화 'Samos' 품종을 부본으로 하여 교배를 하였다. 2007년도에 실생을 양성한 후 선발된 실생계통 중에서 화색과 화형이 우수한 8계통의 예비선발을 수행하였으며, 2008-2010년에 주년 재배성을 위한 3회 이상의 특성검정과 품평회를 실시한 결과, 절화생육과 개화특성이 우수한 'GCS 06-'99-10' 계통을 최종 선발하여 'Dream Round'로 명명하였다. 'Dream Round'는 흰색의 설상화(RHS White Group 155B)에 진분홍색(RHS Red Purple Group 68A)의 통상화를 가지는 아네모네형으로 꽃잎수는 26.1매이고, 꽃직경은 34.1mm 이며, 절화장은 92.4cm이고 흰녹병 발생은 거의 없었으며, 절화 수명은 21.7일 이었다.

The cross was made in 2004 between 'Innocence', a breeding cultivar of NIHHS, and 'Baeksokuk', a spray cultivar with white petals. Trials were conducted from 2005 to 2007 for the evaluation and selection of this cultivar, including shade cultures in summer and retarding cultures in autumn. The natural flowering time of 'Pure Angel' is late October, but year-round flowering is possible by photo-periodic control. The cultivar has single type flowers with pure white petals and a green flower center. It shows long vase life and resistance to white rust. The diameter of flower is 52.5 mm. The numbers of flowers per stem and petals per flower are 12 and 22.5, respectively. Days to flowering under the short day treatment is about 52 days in spring seasons.

The cross was made between 'Plano' and 'Yeonja' in 2005. Trials were conducted from 2006 to 2008 for the evaluation and selection of this cultivar, including shading cultures in summer and retarding cultures in spring. The natural flowering time of 'Prima Donna' is late October, but year-round flowering is possible by photo-periodic control. The cultivar has single type flowers with pink petals, green center and good inflorescence. The growth of plant is very vigorous. The diameter of flower is 7.0cm. The number of flowers per stem and petals per flower are 13 and 42, respectively. Days to flowering under the short day treatment is about 59 and its vase life is 26.1 days in autumn season.

A cross was made in 2004 between 'Lineker Salmon', a spray cultivar with salmon petals, and 'Baeksokuk', a spray cultivar with white petals. Trials were conducted from 2005 to 2007 for evaluation and selection of this cultivar, including shade cultivation in summer and retarding cultivation in autumn. The natural flowering time of 'Pink Berry' is late October, but year-round flowering is possible by photo-periodic control. The cultivar has single type flowers with pink petals and a green flower center. It shows long vase life of 22 days and resistance to white rust. The diameter of flower is 52.0 mm. The numbers of flowers per stem and petals per flower are 15.5 and 29.5, respectively. Days to flowering under the short day treatment is about 56 in autumn seasons.

I have done several papers of flowering periods in selected floras of the world since 1969. In this paper, the patterns of flowering periods of floras, Tierra del Fuego, Isl. Barro Colorado and Karuizawa are compared. The total sums of monthly percentages of flowering taxa are 335.6 in Tierra del Fuego, 723.9 in Barro Colorado Isl. and 192.8 in Karuizawa, Japan. The patterns of Barro Colorado Isl. showed as a tropical area's patterns of flowering periods, therefore abundant flowers in there all the year round, but it is very different to tropical Java's flowering periods of the flora. The patterns of Tierra del Fuego is closely related to the patterns of flowering periods of the Falkland Isl. flora. The patterns of flowering periods of Karuiza flora is represented as patterns of northern temperate region's.

재배 바위솔은 10월경에 집중되는 자연산 바위솔의 출하시기를 피하여야 수익을 높일 수 있다. 본 연구는 바위솔의 출하시기를 조절할 수 있는 주년재배에 대한 정보를 확보하고자 추대전인 6월 10일과 추대가 시작되는 8월 25일로 암기중단 처리시기를 달리한 후 동절기 $20^{\circ}C$ 이상으로 가온재배하면서 동절기 이후인 3월 9일까지 바위솔의 생장, 형태 및 개화에 미치는 영향을 조사하였던바 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 초장, 화서장, 엽과 포엽수 및 경직경은 6윌 10일 암기중단 처리하는 것보다는 추대중인 8월 25일 암기중단을 처리할 경우 길고 많거나 굵어지는 경향을 보였다. 2. 엽과 포엽중, 소화중, 경중, 근중, 지상부중, 전체건물중도 6월 10일 암기중단 처리하는 것보다는 추대중인 8월 25일 암기중단 처리할 경우 많았다. 3. 화서에 형성되는 소화수도 6월 10일 암기중단 처리하는 것보다는 추대중인 8월 25일 암기중단 처리할 경우 많았던 반면, 소화의 개화는 8월 25일 암기중단 처리할 경우에만 3월 초순에 관찰되었다. 4. 고사와 관련된 3월 초순의 개화개체 비율은 8월 25일 암기중단 처리할 경우에만 $10{\sim}20%$ 정도인 것으로 조사되어 추대전 암기중단 처리를 가함과 동시에 동절기 $20^{\circ}C$ 이상으로 유지한다면 바위솔의 주년재배는 가능할 것으로 나타났다.

'My Sun'은 경기도농업기술원에서 2009년도에 육성한 분화용 국화 신품종으로 2005년도에 오렌지 계열 분화용 국화 'Omega Time Orange' 품종을 모본으로 하고 흰색 'Tasman' 품종을 부본으로 교배하여 얻었다. 이 품종은 노란색 꽃잎을 가진 초장이 짧은 홑꽃이다. 2006-2009년까지 춘계 촉성재배와 동계 억제재배를 포함하는 특성검정을 수행하였다. 'My Sun' 품종의 자연개화기는 10월 13일이며, 전조재배와 차광재배로 개화가 조절되어 주년 재배가 가능하다. 화경은 21mm, 착화수는 본당 34.4매이고 꽃잎수는 20.4매이다. 엽색은 녹색(Green Group 137A)이고 초장은 13.3cm이다. 개화소요일수는 춘계에는 단일처리 후 42일 정도이며, 분지수는 겨울철에는 3.4개 정도를 가진다. 이 품종은 흰녹병 저항성이고 대조품종에 비해 기호도가 높은 편이었다.
